procedures with effective plans, organizing resources, coordinating with
departments along with controlling work in order to produce products and
services.
 This presentation includes key approaches of operational management
along with roles played by leaders as well as managers.

 Key approaches of operational management are as follows:
 Lean production: Such approach focuses on minimizing wastage while ensuring high quality.
 Six sigma approach: It is a disciplined, data-driven, continuous improvement, statistical-based
approach which is used for eliminating causes of defects in process, product or services along
with improving quality of products.

members.
 They develops strategies to accomplish work within time period.
 They communicate clear instructions to members at workplace.
