INTRODUCTION
Marketing is a function or activities a firm perform to promote its products and
services to the customers and the market. Marketing helps in advertising the buying and
selling of goods and services (Bass and Kuzmyk, 2020). Marketing is important as it
helps in growth and development of the company by attracting more and more new
customers to buy their products. For this study Unilever is taken into consideration,
Unilever plc is a British multinational customer products brand with headquarters in
London, England. Unilever provide products in foods, beauty, cleaning and personal
care. This study is going to cover the EFQM business model along with the relationship
of Unilever with its partners and suppliers along with this it also consist of process
needed to provide the value to the market in their products. This study also includes the
different strategies taken by the company along with RADAR framework.

Describing the application of EFQM business model to identify the strengths and areas
of improvement of Unilever
The EFQM stands for European foundation for quality management excellence
model, this model provides the measuring of the areas of improvement where a firm
needs to focus to to overcome their weakness and improve themselves in order to grab
the opportunity present in the market (Deepak and Jeyakumar, 2019). This model
shows the strengths of the firm by which they can build their plan and decision making
so that they can utilize their strengths and achieve their goals and objective easily. This
model focus on what an organisation can perform to support their customer and
increase customer satisfaction. The EFQM model in context to Unilever which shows 9
criteria divided into 2 parts the enablers and results. The enablers is concentrate on how
the Unilever present itself, how it manages its employees and resources, how its
strategy can be planned and how it monitors and reviews its processes. The enablers
are listed below:-
1. Leadership:- it is the process which helps in growth and development of values,
vision and mission of the Unilever to reach toward its target and achieve its

arranged and improved. This also involves the identification of knowledge, skills
and efficiency of people of the firm.
3. Policy and strategy:- this process of policy and strategy includes various activities
performed by the firm in order to achieve the objective of the company. It
discusses about how strategy and policy procedure depends up[on the present
and upcoming needs and wants for partner, ways in that the strategy and policy
procedure depends upon the information from the research, innovative activities,
learning, performance development training etc. it also discussed about how
strategy and policy is developed, updated and reviewed along with how policy
and strategy procedure is focused on addition to being enforced(Criado-García
and et,al., 2019).
4. Partnership and resources:- is process focus on controlling the relationships of
the firm with its partners and inverters so that it can manage its healthy relation
to get funding in sourcing of finance. It helps in managing internal and external
partnership of the firm with its partners. This process regulates the materials,
equipments and building of the organisation along with this it helps in supervising
the proper utilization of all resources present in the organization like, technology,
raw materials electricity and many more. It also helps in protecting and securing
the knowledge and information of the data in the software systems.
