INTRODUCTION
The activity of project management is considered as a very important activity for the
business organization as it benefits business organization with respect to business
objectives and goals. The project management is the process in which project managers
aims to achieve specific task or objectives within timeframe decided for the project. The
project is a new idea which can be achieved through planning, monitoring, and
coordination with resources which includes the greater risk that needs to convert into
reward. The project is initiated in order to identify the positive economic and cultural
impact of globalization on employee training in Uniqlo (KLEIBERT et al., 2016). The
assignment presents how globalization impacts the human resource department and
human resource of the company. The Uniqlo is very suitable for the project research as it
covers the market areas of most of the part of the world and has a large workforce.
The Uniqlo is a Japanese Company founded in 1949 in Ube, Yamaguchi, Japan. It is a wholly
owned subsidiary of Fast Retailing Co. Ltd. The Uniqlo is a very popular fashion retail
company that provides the latest trends to the people. The company covers the market for
approx. 22 countries in which around 44,400 employees working for it.

Project Objectives
The project manager should understand the project very well and with respect to it, the
aims and objectives should decide. The research conducted in order to identify the positive
economic and cultural impact of globalization helps the researcher to understand how
employee training is effective positively and what positives employees gain from it (Newell,
2013).
Following are the key objectives of the research:
To understand the economic impact of globalization on employee training in Uniqlo.
To understand the cultural impact of globalization on employee training in Uniqlo.
How positively employees work performance influenced by the cultural and
economic impact of globalization.

Project Scope
The project is unbiased with descriptive nature that is conduct in order to identify the
cultural and economic impact of globalization for which project manager used a mixed
method.
Included scope: The scope of the project includes the cultural and economic impact of
globalization only on HR department of the organization and in HR department the project
only focuses on the employee training and growth of employees (Nica et al., 2016).
The scope that is excluded: The project does not focus on the other functions of the Uniqlo
as well as not include other impacts such as the social impact of globalization.

Plan – it is the process in which plan is executed that is created for the research. In our
case, the project management plan is executed in order to achieve objectives.
Monitor – It is the stage in which achievement is assessed and identify what is obtained.
Review – in this stage the achievements are compared with the actual plan in order to
measure the effectiveness of the plan and identify areas of concern.
Control In this stage, the weak areas of the plan is targeted and provide
recommendations as well as take actions to improve areas of the plan which is required to
improve.
Communication
Communication plays a very important role in the success of the project as the clear the
communication flow within the team the more effective process should be. The project
manager needs to ensure that all team members of the project should communicate with
each other as well as with him effectively and all the decision-making activity should be
properly discussed in order to increase the effectiveness of the project (Gachoka, 2015).

Also in this research, all the task and responsibilities are communicated through e-mails
and project manager presents a report to the leaders of the Uniqlo through conference
calls.
Risk Management
There are few risks attached to the project which needs to be considering as the project
goes on. The high cost of the project may disturb the budget given for the project as well as
it is a risk of delay in the project to complete (Sajuyigbe et al., 2016). For these risks, cost
budget and time frame can be helpful in order to overcome these risks as well as maintain
the effectiveness of the research.

The research is initiated in order to find out the positive economic and cultural impact of
globalization on training for employees within Uniqlo and for that, the project manager
uses a mixed method to conduct a small-scale investigation. The research uses quantitative
and qualitative research in order to identify the positive economic and cultural impact of
globalization (Quinlan et al., 2019). The qualitative research focuses on the thoughts and
behaviour of the people that were interviewed whereas quantitative research helps in
order to gain their responses that help research. The mixed method benefits research in
order to increase its effectiveness as well as through mixed-method the project manager
able to gain actual and real data that helped in getting research outcome which met with
the objectives.
Qualitative research
Qualitative research helps the project manager to understand the thoughts, reasons,
opinions as well as recommendations on a certain situation. The qualitative research
creates a hypothesis with respect to the data obtained. The qualitative research is a very
effective method in order to get responses and opinion in a detailed form which suits the
nature of this research. The research use interview method as qualitative research in which
project manager takes interview of 25 people that includes staff and employees, upper
management staff and loyal customers of Uniqlo to gain the qualitative research data
(Sheehan and Sparrow, 2012). The interview also helps the project manager to motivate
participants of the interview in order to give long answers that help in finding the actual
situation with respect to the question.
The project manager takes interview of 25 people but only responses of 3 interviewees are
present below in which 1 is an employee of the Uniqlo whose response is 1st, 1 is a loyal
customer of the business organization whose response is 2nd and 1 is the employer of the
Uniqlo whose response is 3rd. Following are the interview activity of 3 interviewees:

Q) How is the working environment within Uniqlo?
Response 1: The working environment is very good; employers support the staff very well
as well as there is no overload of work which creates job satisfaction.
Response 2: The employees treats customers very well so I guess the working environment
should be good within the organization. Also, the staffs are well trained in Uniqlo.
Response 3: We try our very best in order to create a healthy environment within the
organization and employees support the initiative very well as they are well trained.
Q) How globalization helps employee training economically within Uniqlo?
Response 1: with the help of globalization the resource is much cheaper than before that
were used for the employee training such as internet services etc.
Response 2: I don’t know much about globalization but it can be seen that the with the help
of globalization cost of many products and services are significantly reduced that might
help the training of employees with effective resources.
Response 3: The globalization helps us significantly in order to provide training as
resources easily available and much cheaper, the business financial condition gets stronger
so we can afford a few more expenses on the employee training.
Q) How cultural impact of globalization influence employee training within Uniqlo?
Response 1: The globalization brings many cultures within the organization as many
colleagues that are working with me are of from different countries and I learned many
good things from them.
Response 2: The business is more creative and innovative with its ideas and thoughts as
various new cultural trends are available within the organization as well as we got a new
taste in products.

Response 3: It is seen that in employee training that more and more employees are
showing their interest in learning various aspects of a different culture. Globalization
brings many cultures within an organization that helps employees to gain new experience.
Quantitative research
Quantitative research is more like practical research in which project managers interacted
with many people in order to gain research data. The quantitative research focuses on the
statistical data which is easy to measure and through which effective outcome or
conclusion can be obtained (Sardar and Lee, 2015). Generally, quantitative research is
much easier to analyze as the data obtained through this research is structured based. The
project manager use questionnaire survey for this research. Questionnaire survey is a very
productive quantitative research tool in which participants can respond to the respected
question by choosing 1 option from limited options.
The project manager prepared a set of questionnaire survey for 100 participants that
include management of the Uniqlo, employees, and customers of the business organization
and the general public to get the general idea about the topic. Including customers and the
general public in participant's benefits in order to gain actual data that benefit the research,
as well as general public and customers (Matzura, 2018), responded to the question which
they feel and observe that is good for the research. Following are the responses of the
