SITUATION ANALYSIS
IT department of UniSA (University of South Australia) is looking forward to have an agreement
with MavTech (Maverick Technology Pvt. Ltd) at this scenario. The University is going through
lack of technology within their classroom and there class sessions are not attractive. This
becomes a reason that students are switching to other Universities to pursue their education. For
this it is necessary for them to have new technologies through which they can avoid the problems
which they are going through and along with this they can have competitive edge among other
colleges and Universities. With respect to this, certain problems which are being faced by them
and ways in which they can be handled are mentioned beneath:
Problems: University of South Australia (UniSA) lacks in the usage of latest technologies
within their classrooms and labs which makes the session dull and boring. This also makes it
difficult for them retain their existing students for higher degree. Due to this reason they do not
have adequate number students in their classrooms.
Opportunities: In terms of technology there lie various options which can be used by
University for imparting the knowledge like video conferencing, Skype but at present a
technique Holoportation is latest and will bring a spark among students & will be keen to learn.
This technique can be provided by MavTech that is why University is looking forward to
agreement with them.
The opportunities which University have can be justified and reason behind this is that it
is a latest technology whose effects are great and students will be keen to know how sessions will
be carried out. By usage of this technology students can attend lectures from different Professors
which will enable them to gain knowledge.
STAKEHOLDER ANALYSIS
Stakeholders are individuals or a group who has interest in particular project. They can be
either internal or external. With respect to UniSA, major internal stakeholders are project teams,
students and management. They are crucial aspects within University and have their own
benefits within project as well as agreement with MavTech. If agreement between University and
organization is successful then project team will gain identification which will render some
benefits to them. Students are other crucial assets within this as the project is brought in to
increase their number and also make the classroom sessions attractive as well as knowledgeable

for existing students. The management has interest in this project as it will provide them with
more number of admissions and will also lead to enhancement in performance of students.
External stakeholders of University are MavTech, sponsors, suppliers and students. They
have their own concerns for execution of Holoportation technique. By implementation of this
technique MavTech can be recognized, can earn profit and their customer base might increase as
other universities may also opt for same technology within their premises. Sponsors will be
investing relevant amount on this project, the major reason is that they are assure that this will
lead the University to attain their goal which means that sponsors will gain relevant return on
investment. Suppliers will be responsible for supplying raw materials to University by which
project can be executed and they can also gain profit.
Sponsors are responsible for entire success as well as vision of project. They need to
render feedback and make decisions with respect to implementation of project. With respect to
UniSA sponsors will be responsible for allocating and supplying resources as well as finances to
fund the entire project. Students are interested in this project as they can have new equipments to
learn things. It becomes easy to learn things through simulation. Parents of students are
interested in project as their child can attain the knowledge from professors who are physically
not present within UniSA.
OBJECTIVES
In context of University, objectives are depicted below:
ï‚· To improvise the knowledge of new technology among students by 15% in next
year.
ï‚· To increase the number of students by 20% in next three years.
KEY MESSAGES
Holoportation is a latest technology which is based on mixed reality technology which
technology that is brought up by Microsoft. These technologies are basically augmented and
virtual reality. Basically three dimensional mapping of objects from real world is done for
creating 3D reconstructions which will be compressed and sent to remote destination via internet.
For this the receiver need to make use of HoloLens which will enable them to view the
Holoportation effects. These lenses are also provided by Microsoft, by this receiver will be able
more number of admissions and will also lead to enhancement in performance of students.

to hear as well as interact with other entity. By implementation of this, interest of each
stakeholder can be accomplished.
The key message which is being transmitted by University is that this technique will furnish
an environment where students can learn by sitting at home, can attend guest lecture from
experts or industry personnel without distance coming in between. Apart from this students can
interact with them this will aid them to raise any queries which they have. Face to face
interaction can occur and lectures will be projected in real time. This will also aid employees to
acquire knowledge with respect to different aspects, new technologies, or what is going around
the world with respect to various factors. By this students can also have internship at real time by
virtual reality.
University will be able to accomplish the interest of external stakeholders by implementing
this project. MavTech will be recognized for work done by them which will lead them to
increased number of customers. Sales of suppliers can be improvised as they can sell large
number of cameras and HoloLens along with this if other universities or organization will make
use of same technology then there customers might increase.
STRATEGIES AND TACTICS
UniSA is obsessive for execution of 3D Holoportation technology as by this they can make
sure there as well as students future. Stakeholders will be working in collaboration with each
other. Like MavTech will be in collaboration with suppliers with respect pixels of camera
required, their specifications, HoloLenses and many other devices which are being required to
carry out project. For this it is necessary that effective and healthy communication occurs
between all the stakeholders. For this different tactics and strategies have been used by UniSA
through which stakeholders can be captivated towards there project.
Survey: It is required to identify all the suppliers who are present within market who provide
the devices required within Holoportation technology. It will also help them to find out how
many students or their parents know about this technology so that they can be brought within
University to make aware them about benefits a student can get by this.
Paid medium: This is being used by University to make people aware about technology
which will be used by them to teach their students. In this a tender will be generated it can be an

suppliers as well as organizations that provide implementation of Holoportation technology. This
will give University an option to find out the best bid and go for the same so that they can be
successful. A certain amount is paid when advertisements are being given.
Shared media: This comprises of social media platforms where University can tell
people about their new technology and what all benefits it will provide. They basically comprises
of LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.
IMPLEMENTATION
TIMINGS/ SCHEDULE
There exist different milestones while execution of Holoportation technology, they are
illustrated below:
Approval of project: IT depertment within University needs to have approval from
management for this project as they have invest of lots of amount in this, so it is crucial to
analyse feasibility as well as benefits which will be provided by this project. A detailed report
has to be provided to management so that they can think about this.
Review of requirements: It is other crucial aspects which deals with identification of
whether all the requirements which have been mentioned are correct, completed and approved.
Preliminary review: The design must meet requirements of University like if it is
possible to have more than effect within same class so that each session becomes interactive
and this will also analyze that is it possible to have same session in other classroom also. The
design needs time so that they can evaluate each feature of Holoportation technology.
Critical review of design: A detailed architecture along with its details must be
reviewed as well as input which is needed must be evaluated in effectual manner before actual
implementation starts.
Test plan review: A simulation plan is created and it will be tested to identify that
whether this plan can be implemented and is there anything which is left out and must be taken
into consideration.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
They are illustrated below along with time required for communication of plan and
analyzing each and every aspect associated with this.
Resource Role Estimated Work Hours
Management They have the crucial role in process of
communication. They will analyse the
bids which have been made by different
suppliers and organization.
Around 1 month
MavTech Management as well as technical team
will be in communication to find all
about how this technology can be
implemented and what all resources will
be required for the same.
Approximately one
month
Suppliers Technical team of UniSA will
communicate with suppliers to analyse
what all resources they will be providing
and of which company they will be like
they are original or duplicate copies. It is
crucial as entire amount and time will be
wasted if any of the resource will not
meet the desired criteria.
Near about 15 days
BUDGET
The entire cost of project will be around $2,00,000- 4,00,000. The budget will will
entirely depend upon types of 3D camera which is being used and when more then 2 cameras
are used then quality of effect will be enhanced. Furthermore, depending upon the number of
students who are present at class, the same number of holo lenses is needed so that students can
and inputs will be given in similar manner as they were in while simulation so that success of
project can be ensured.
