Work breakdown structure
It helps in breaking the whole task into smaller deliverables so that it can become
manageable for the person to complete the whole of the task. Each deliverable is assigned
requisite time and budget in such manner that whole budget and time of entire project id divided
among small deliverables (Lian and Jia, 2016).
It is developed in order to establish the understanding of the scope of the project. It is a
ranked description of entire task which must be done to complete the entire deliverables. The
work breakdown structure in context to the current research which shall be done by the
investigator is given below-
TASK 2
Apply primary and secondary methods which are appropriate for meeting the project aims and
objectives.
Research methodology may be defined to as the particular technique or procedure that is
used to identify, select, process and analyse the information about the topic. For conducting a
research, the methodology gives the research a reliability and validity (Al Saglab and et. al.,
2020). For conducting this research, the researcher shall use quantitative and qualitative research
for its primary and secondary data collection.
Qualitative research- This involves collection and analysation of the non quantitative
data so that there is clear perceptive of the concept, opinion and experience. This research helps

data so that there is clear perceptive of the concept, opinion and experience. This research helps
in gathering the information which is required for obtaining the in depth insight of the problem

so that new ideas can be generated (Lauer, 2021). The researcher may interpret the qualitative
data from Ms Excel tool. The researcher shall use the qualitative research in this project by both
primary and secondary data collection.
Quantitative research- It is a process that includes collecting and analysing of the
numerical data which can be used in order to find the average and patterns. It also helps in
making the predictions and generalise the results to the wider population. This research helps in
quantifying the problem by generating numerical data or any qualitative data which can be
transformed to the statistics (Ameyaw and et. al., 2017). The researcher may have the options of
bringing its findings into charts, figures or diagrams. The researcher shall use the quantitative
research in this project with the help of both primary and secondary data collection.
Data collection- It is the process which involves gathering or collecting the data on the
targetted variables in a systematic manner. It helps in sanctioning the research questions and
evaluate the result in an appropriate manner (To, Au and Kan, 2019). The researcher shall have
the option of survey, telephone or online method for collecting the data by primary and
secondary tool, The two methods of data collection which shall be used by the researcher are
discussed below- Primary data tool- It refers to that kind of data which is collected directly form the
source without getting involved with other existing sources. It is the original data which
is collected by the researcher first hand in order to accomplish the research aims and
objectives. It is time consuming and quite an expensive method (Larsson, Eriksson and
Pesämaa, 2018). In context to this project, the researcher shall collect the data from this
tool with the use of Questionnaire.
Secondary data tool- It refers to that data which is already collected by other person. It is
the use of existing data which helps in increasing the effectiveness of the research.
Common secondary data tool includes books and journals, articles and many other
(Dillon and et. al., 2020). In relation to this project, investigator shall use this data tool
for achieving the aims and objectives of the research.
Sampling- It is a process which is used to statistically analyse the pre-determined
observations which are taken from the large population. (Klun and Trkman, 2018). In context to
this project, the researcher shall have 10 respondents from the whole population who are the
employees of Sainsbury.

that the employees have improved performance which can result in high productivity.

TASK 4
Reflection
After successfully completing the research project, I feel glad and happy that I got this
chance to enhance my learnings and knowledge. While undergoing this research, I felt that I
have used my communication skills which assisted me in data collection so that I can draw
accurate and relevant findings. I have successful achieved the aims of the research by collecting
the information and data from the primary and secondary research. While collecting the data,
there was few challenges which came in between which includes hesitation from the employee's
side as they were unable to share their concerns. But through my convincing power I was able to
make them comfort so that they can freely express their opinions and experience. This project
research helped me in learning the problem solving skills and enhanced my decision making as I
was able to use them to draw my findings. I got the opportunity to identify that my
communication skills worked as my strength in successfully completing my project. These skills
which I utilised and enhanced during this project have contributed in my professional
development and will further add to my personality.
