INTRODUCTION
The health care services are refer to as services that are provided to individuals to
improve health of their patients. The health is an important aspect in well being of a person's life.
This can be achieve by changes with in organisation which help in fulfilling requirements of
people. It is vital to be implemented in environment of organisation as it influence social care of
individuals. As these changes can be occur through various types of factors such as social,
technical, political, legislation and economical. With the help of such factors, various strategies
can be developed that can help in promoting health care of people (Baumeister, 2015). This can
be effectively implemented by management of organisation that can influence services among
service users. In this assignment, the presence of key factors with in organisation can bring
changes in services are covered. There are different challenges are occur from key factors which
are apply to bring changes. The use of criteria occur which measure changes of Taunton City
Council and Somerset NHS Foundation. The changes that are applying in organisation have
some impact on environment of organisation which is also need to measure. In addition to this,
there are some principles of change management are applied which influence changes with in
organisation are discussed in this. Moreover, the changes can be monitored with different
methods are included in this assignment.
TASK 1
1) Explain the key factors that drive change in health and social care services.
The occurrence of key factors enhance organisation to bring changes with inn services of
care facilities. These changes can occur from both internal and external factors. The internal
factors are presence with in environment of organisation. This come out at time of delivering
services to people. These changes are facilitate by care professionals who implement changes on
a regular basis. This is manage by management who monitor changes that are develop by key
factors.
This also includes identification of potentiality of services that raising services for
customers. The individuals have different needs and desire which is also a key factor which drive
changes in health and social care organisation. There are other changes occur in the internal
system of organisation which drive changes such as change in technical, resources. The existence
of resources can initiate and bring large level of changes in services. There are external factors

which present outside of environment that bring changes with in medical and social services of
people.
This factor includes competitors, laws and politics which drive changes with in
environment during services. As per the case, changes and services are not implemented properly
which build various problems among older people. The services of Taunton City Council and
Somerset NHS Foundation are provided in different ways at different time which develop
various negative outcome of patients. This lead to delaying of resources and in service provision
which develop dissatisfaction among customers.
There are various threats occur in services of people as the older people found duplicate
referrals that impact negatively on health of an individual (Chatterjee and Noble, 2016). The
failure in demand of individuals is also an threat which occur in front of service users and
organisation. There are key factors that can reduce threats and help in bringing change with in
services of organisation. The changes in this key factors is an effective strategies that find
solution for organisation in their services. The strategic key factors are stated below.
Political:- It includes policies and guidelines that are sets by politically. This is
implemented for maintaining changes and services with in system of administration.
Technical:- It consist of new methods, record keeping and other changes in system of
organisation can also bring changes. The occurrence of new and well established methods
can cause changes.
Demographic:- this includes age, lifestyle and requirements of service users that provide
an idea to organisation to bring up changes in their services. These requirements are need
to be fulfil by care providers at time of delivering services to their patients. As different
people have different desire and needs which are necessary to be occur in their treatment.
This factor assist organisation to develop services according to comfortability of people.
Legal:- in this, different legislation occur that are a part or necessity of changes with in
organisation. With different laws, requirements of service users can be fulfil effectively.
2) Assess the challenges that key factors of change bring to health and social care services.
The challenges are occur in applying key factors with in system of organisation. It
affects all people who are connected with services of organisation such as care provision,
workers and service users. It can be occur through both internal and external factors that are

people who are linked with care services. As generally, people are not comfortable with new
changes. So the organisation need to make effective resources and workers that make individual
feel comfortable about services (Cook, 2015). The maintaining service is an important aspect in
service care organisation. It is an challenging assessment which are need to be followed by care
professionals of organisation. With regular maintaining services, confidence and support of
customers can help organisation to provide effective services to them.
The lack of concern and interest in work employees is also a challenge which cause
various other factors in which it become threat for organisation. This develops negative cause for
organisation as their professionals are not ready to accept changes with in their services. The
different people have various other perspective in their services. The changes in services which

in old age of people as they prefer their regular treatment and services which are providing to
them earlier.

necessary to measure those changes that are recently applied in environment of organisation.
This can be measure through various strategies that are also used to identify effectiveness of
changes. These strategies can be used by Taunton City Council and Somerset NHS Foundation,
who work collaborative in delivering services to older people.
