INTRODUCTION
Academic Reflection refers to the use of the different types of methods and techniques
through which the past experience can be recounted so that the conclusions and
recommendations can be derived in quite a proper and appropriate manner (Katz, 2021). This
will be helpful in taking of important decisions in the future. In this report, a detailed and
specific focus is required to be made on the way in which the use of Reflection can be made so
that the conclusions and recommendations can be derived effectively and efficiently.
MAIN BODY
Scenario- I am a student studying in an university. I was given a project to work on by
my teacher so that I am able to enhance my skills and abilities in a better manner. The topic
which was chosen for this project was Talent Management. I will provide a detailed reflection
about the way in which I approached the project for the purpose of attaining my goals and
objectives related with Academics.
The topic which was given to me by my teacher to work on was Talent Management. It
was an interesting topic to work on because through understanding it in detail the conclusions
and recommendations which are useful can be derived which can help in taking important
decisions related with the project. There were also various problems which I faced while
approaching this particular project (Leathwood and Read, 2020). Thus, I had to make sure that I
used appropriate methods and techniques which helped me a lot in dealing with these problems. I
also had to identify the Research Questions on which the work had to be done. These Research
Questions were quite important because they formed the base of my research. Also, Writing of
Topic Development Submission was quite important because this helped me a lot in taking of the
important decisions which were related with the topic in a right way effectively and efficiently.
Thus, I had to make sure that I prepared myself appropriately so as to deal with the different
types of needs and requirements related with the project which will thus help me a lot in ensuring
that I can take the actions which are necessary to be taken. Thus, I had to carry out the Analysis
and Interpretation which was necessary for the purpose of taking of important decisions related
with the project. I experienced all this by adopting the right approach, I ensured that I am able to
deal with the challenges and I learnt the way in which I can make the desired level of
improvements in a proper manner.

Literature Review is quite important in a Research Report and it has to be done correctly
so that the conclusions and recommendations which are important can be derived. Thus, the
viewpoints of the different authors are required to be assessed so that the right decisions are
taken (Lenssen, Shabout and Rogers, 2020). Therefore, I was quite challenging for me to
complete the Literature Review. I therefore made sure that I collected data on the Internet
regarding Talent Management and therefore made the use of this data in a right way in the
Research Project. I researched a lot on the Internet about my topic and found many articles.
However, only a few of them were of use for me and thus I made sure that I select the relevant
articles so that I can get the information which was useful for me to approach the project. I
experienced that while completing the Literature Review I had to use of my skills and abilities.
There were various challenges which I faced while completing this project. Therefore, I learnt
that the use of the skills and abilities has to be made to be able to deal with these challenges
which will help in taking the important decisions.
Research Methodology is quite important and therefore it has to be analysed because
through carrying out its analysis the research can be carried out in a proper and appropriate
manner (Rinaldi and et.al., 2020). There are Qualitative Methods like One-to-one Interview,
Focus Groups, Ethnographic Studies, Text Analysis and Case Study. Also there are Quantitative
Methods like Survey research, Descriptive research and Correlational research. Through making
their use the appropriate conclusions and recommendations can be derived. I played a role in
discussion about methods with my classmates as I assessed the methods to be used quite properly
and appropriately. Also, detailed discussion about Sampling, Questionnaire Design, Data
Collection and Analysis was done by me so that I ensured that I was able to derive the
appropriate conclusions and recommendations in a right way. I experienced all this as I had to
regularly stay in touch with my different teachers and take their opinion related with the project.
I also faced a lot of challenges as I had never worked on a Research Project and I was able to
learn from these challenges by ensuring that the solutions to these challenges can be found out in
a proper and appropriate manner which will help me a lot.
I gained a lot of insights from the project which will help me in the future as I will be
able to take the important decisions (Yan, 2020). I learnt that in order to complete a Research
Project there is a requirement of systematically identifying the way in which the work is required
to be completed, the techniques which are required to be applied in the project so as to make it

successful and the way in which the deriving of the necessary conclusions and recommendations
can be carried out so that it can be highly useful. I learnt that for the purpose of completing a
Research Project I have to systematically set a schedule which has to be followed which will
therefore help me in completing the project well within time. Also, I concluded that a person can
learn so much from these research projects. I had to face issues, struggles and challenges while
completing this project. This was so because working on a Research Project was a completely
new experience for me which will therefore help me a lot in attaining the necessary goals and
objectives. The synergies which I experienced both individually and in the teamwork were quite
useful for me because through experiencing them I was able to identify the appropriate actions to
be taken for the purpose of attaining the goals and objectives related with the project. Thus, In
this way this ensured that the better decisions can be taken for the purpose of completing the
project well within the stipulated time period. Thus, I experienced all this while working on my
research project which was quite helpful for me. There were challenges which were faced by me
which helped me in dealing with the needs and requirements related with the project in a proper
way. I learnt from this project that I should improve my communication skills which will help
me in communicating with a lot of people so that I can take better decisions.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it can be concluded that Academic Reflection refers to the way in
which the recounting of the past experience can be done so that the better decisions can be taken
in a right way. Through making its use the students can take important and crucial decisions
which will help them a lot in ensuring that the Analysis and Interpretation can be carried out. It is
therefore important that this can be done so that the better decisions can be taken in the future
which will be quite helpful.
