STATEMENT

My name is abc and I am from general business background. I was always interested in
subject relating to entrepreneurship as they are connected to exploring new ideas. I am average in
studies from my school but have achieved good marks in the subjects relating to business. I have
studied general business from Regent College, London. There were many subject in my
complete course but I was more interested in studies where practical knowledge or case studies
was included. Business is a subject where different fields like marketing, finance and operations
are covered in the syllabus. Management studies is another important part of this course as it
teaches students about how to ensure optimum utilisation of available resource.
In my view, HND course provide basic information about various subjects and different
companies seek this qualification at the time of job openings. I enjoyed studying the subject of
my core fields as they didn't only enhance by theoretical knowledge but also developed some
important skills like how to conduct research, presentation skills, application of different
theoretical models.
My previous educational qualification includes general business course which has
developed by professional proficiency in entrepreneurial sector. My experience in academics has
helped me in gaining a thoughtful insights regarding the business world and how things are
managed and controlled in a dynamic business environment. Apart from professional point of
view, my academic knowledge has also been enhanced. The course of general business has
taught me few life skills which will help me in my further studies.
It has always been a lesson for me that an individual’s interest and personality is the
results of their past experiences. My past education of General business has taught me the tricks
and tactics of being a successful entrepreneur and this has fascinated me to learn about this
subject more. The teachings regarding sustainable business and ethical business practices has
inspired me to complete this course.
It has always been in my knowledge that in order to be entirely qualified, the university
plays an essential role and for my purpose to study higher business diploma, the University of
Northampton is most suitable choice for me. To specify the rationale, the higher skilled faculty
members are the main reason for me to be a part of this institution.
There are various matters which have excited me about learning from the course, but the
most captivating thing is the experience which I can gain in future. For me, life experiences are

the biggest treasure for an individual and I can definitely gain them from this course for which I
am most excited about.
Despite of my average academic skills, my committed quotient regarding my studies and
my career is high. According to the feedback gained from my previous tutors, I am a committed
student who perform with best possible potential. I always try to be best at academics due to
which you should consider my application for your University. My previous qualifications and
