Each response, exceeding 150 words, analyzes the original posts and incorporates scholarly, peer-reviewed references to enrich the discussion. The student connects concepts of work ethic, quality, and organizational practices with relevant biblical teachings, such as Proverbs 12:24 and Psalm 107:9. 1. Response to Amanda
Amanda, I read your post and I am highly impressed by your process of thought. I’m very
glad to see that you were able to connect being a good Christian with being a good company
so efficiently. Your commitment to the word of the Bible makes me hopeful about your
understanding of customer satisfaction in terms of organizational strategies. Organizations,
like individuals, always strive to fill their life with good things (Psalm 107:9) and thus, it
must be the aim and mission of these entities to ensure that they are surrounded by things that
will not harm the wellbeing of others. What I can conclude from your writing is that the
teachings of Christianity help all individuals and organizations in being the best version of
themselves, however it was difficult to understand whether your point was to motivate
companies to follow the teachings of Christ, or simply stating the similarities between the
two.
2. Response to Jamie
Jamie, through your post I can tell that you have understood how to connect the two
concepts of proper work ethic and good quality with the teachings of Christ. It is said in the
bible that it will be the diligent hands that will be able to rule, where laziness will only end in
forced labour (Proverbs 12:24), and that is in congruence with your writing about how good
work ethic does not mean good quality because a diligent person is not only on time, he is on
the path of determination to produce good quality products that do not harm the wellbeing of
others. The definition of quality that you have given in your post is truly eye opening because
it makes great efforts to relate the topics taught in class with the respective faith lessons that
are applicable. You have made visible efforts to connect work ethic and quality of work in
terms of organization as a whole, along with the smaller scale concentration on individuals
working in these organizations.
