The main aim of the report is to find the contrast between two businesses and their ownerships,
aim, stakeholders, different activities etc. Here are the two contrasting businesses, Sainsbury’s
and RSPCA. The elaborations of the two businesses are as follows,
Sainsbury’s is a UK based super market business who delivers different types of food to the
people of UK. The company opened its first store in the year of 1869 and since then it has been
maintain a perfect reputation in the field of business. The great quality of products at affordable
prices is very much in favor of the customers of the country. That is the reason why this business
has earned so much reputation in the field. The company has more than 3oo stores in 519
supermarkets(Ciullo, Contalbrigo and Lenisa, 2011). This company consists of more than 30,000
products in the stores which have the capabilities to fulfill all the demands of the customers in
the food industry. The sector of the business is tertiary and secondary. This is because the
companies provides service, sells food and also have their own farm. The main goal of the
company is to provide the best quality of food to the people of the country in the most expected
way and to increase the number of stores in the states of the country.
RSPCA stands for The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. This company
actually provides the servitude to the animals and works for the right of the animals. RSPCA
began their company in the year of 1824 in order to prevent the cruelty on the animals. There are
172 branches of the company in K. There are 38 clinics and 33 animal centers. The animal

centers are mainly run by many trusts and charitable company. The business is mainly in the
territory sector as it only provides servitude to the animals that need special care and treatment.
The main and the objective of the business are to reduce the use and sufferings of dogs in
medicine testing. The main purpose is to provide the animal what they actually deserve and
provide shelter to them.

influence the purpose of two contrasting businesses
The two contrasting business in the field have maintained their reputation in the most efficient
way. It can be said that these two companies have mainly believed their stakeholders and have
kept their faith on the performances. That is the reason why these two companies have been
successful in the field of business.
Customers: The customers are the ones depending on whom every business set its strategies.
The criteria and demand of the customers influence the business to make necessary changes in
the organizational environment. Sainsbury’s and RSPCA have maintained the demand and have
understood the criteria in the most effective way. Sainsbury’s has been able to fulfill all the
demands of the customers and has been providing the quality of food to them. RSPCA also has
responded to the animals and has stood against the cruelty to the dogs.
Employees: The employees of both these companies are the ones whose performances directly
affect the outcomes of the company. It can be elaborated in this way that the companies must
have efficient employees in order to achieve the organizational goals in the most effective way.

Owners: The owners of the business have set their businesses in the most effective way and
they have been able to capture the market. That is the reason why Sainsbury’s and RSPCA have
been able to continue their businesses in the field and the customers in the market have accepted
their products in the most effective way.
Suppliers: The suppliers have been very effective for these two businesses and have delivered
all the required materials that have helped the companies in all aspects of the business. It is true
that these two companies have kept their faith upon the suppliers in all possible ways.
Trade Unions: The trade unions have been very effective for these two businesses from the
initial stages of the businesses. EU has put many impacts in many businesses of UK and the
outcomes of the businesses have shown the impacts very clearly. The impacts may be positive or

government have made many effective changes in the business scenario. It can be said that the
effects of these communities have helped the businesses to reach the desired position where they

Salisbury’s and RSPCA have been most effective in the business field since the time the
businesses were started. It is because of their structure and their organizational performances.
HR managers
They are the one who actually takes care of the recruitment processes and the internal
development of the organization. They actually manage the human resource part of the business.
It can be said that the contributions of the HR managers in the field are more than what words
can describe(Hoedemaekers and Keegan, 2010).
Finance and Marketing
These are the most crucial fact of the businesses because finance actually helps to build up the
strategies of the business and proper marketing actually tells about the products of the company
where the products get the proper promotions in the field.
Production
It is actually the production of the products or the servitude of the companies spending on which
the customers will approach to have the service or the products of the company. The companies
always tend to increase their production in order to increase the effectiveness in the business

so because the sale will be increased if the customers approach to buy products from the
company. The customers will approach to buy if customer relationship is maintained properly.
So these are connected in a single chain. Depending on every single aspect the strategies of the

Sainsbury’s and RSPCA have their own style of running the business and the styles are very

trying to expand the span of the businesses. Sainsbury’s have concentrated on the quality of food
and the demands of the customers from the initial stages of the business. Their main motto is to
provide the best products at an affordable rate so that every single customer in the market gets
the chance to access the products. RSPCA have a different field of business but the business is
contrasting with Sainsbury’s. RSPCA have targeted all the street dogs and many other animals
and have taken the initiative to stop the cruelty against them. It’s a kind of Charitable Company
where RSPCA has been very effective in the business field(Kennedy and Matthews, 2012).

many branches of the company where the economic conditions are not the same but the targets
and objectives of the business are just the same. There are many economic conditions depending
on which the success of the business can be calculated in different economic condition.
Describe two contrasting economic environments showing their differing characteristics
There are many economic environments in the economic field of the business and the two of
them are as follows,
Currency exchange rate: In London the currency exchange rate is different from the fields of
Australia. Sainsbury’s has been effectively continuing its business in both the countries with
being affected by the currency exchange rate as the company is well aware of the surroundings
before making any tactical movements(Kuester and Rauch, 2016).
Consumer Confident level: Sainsbury’s is a UK based company and that is why the customers
of the country will be more confident about the company and its products rather than the
customers in Australia. This can be effective in the field of business.
These are the two economic environment of the company depending on which the company has
built its strategies in the field. It can be said that the strategies of the business depends on the

crucial roles to play. It can be said that the political stability, governmental support and voluntary
and public organizations have many vital roles to play in the success of the business. The
political stability of the country describes about the political condition and the zero conflict
situation among the political parties of the country. The governmental support actually indicates
the rules and regulations to support the private firm in the local country(Marens, 2016).
Legal: Whenever a company or more than a company is being operational at a particular
country, and then the company must be aware of the rules and regulations of the country. If the
company maintains all the rules and regulations of the country and build their strategies
according to the ethics of the country then one can consider the business to be legal in the field.
This will put a positive impact in the face of the business.
Social: The society and the people of the society must accept the activities and products of the
business. It means the business must make their strategies and build their plans according to the
demands and criteria of the customers. The business will find it is to be accepted if the customers
accept the business and its products in the most effective(Wesley and Barczak, 2010). The social
