INTRODUCTION
Every student faces new challenges and gets opportunities during the education period.
This is essential for the student to identify the strengths and weaknesses from the daily
experiences. Present report is based over the research about the challenges faced during the
university period. It will provide about the experience of the induction week. Study will also
cover information regarding the skills required by business for improving its academic writing
skills of students.
GROUP PRESENTATION
University Life
Starting university life may be considered as new life for students. Students leaving home
for university embarks new journey. It leads students to be self -reliant and self dependent. It
shapes the student's outlook for the longer run.
Challenges during the university life.
Every student admitting in a university faces some challenges. They are :
Adjusting to new life
Student who is coming for studies leaving the home takes time in adjusting. The students
face difficulty in adjusting with others. They may face new culture in which they may have
difficulty in adjusting.
Homesickness
Some students never had left their homes. Students with homesickness faces this as
challenge to live away from their home town (Nasir and et.al., 2017). The homesickness can be
reduced by staying in contact with parents using communication mediums.
Cost of education
The cost of getting higher studies have become very expensive. Many of the students
have thoughts about their further education costs and charges.
Finding friends
This is the biggest challenge faced by most of the university students. Students face
difficulty in finding new friends in new place. Everyone may not have the same thoughts and
views in the university. Students have to adjust with their though and have to make new friends
in the university.
Time management

This is an another challenge faced by university students. Time management is very
essential for the students. They face challenges in finishing their works and assignments. This
does not let them to learn new things and get new information in the university life.
Findings in induction week for enabling the students to cope up with studies.
Induction week helps students in adjusting in the university. Students research more
about their relevant course. They get to know the lecturers and tutors, also interacting with new
students and making new friends. I have founds that the induction week activities helps students
to cope up with their studies (van Rhijn and et.al., 2016). The finding of induction will enable the
company to cope with studies in university. Induction week students helps students in
overcoming their fears and striving for new opportunities that will helps them in studies.
Completing the enrolments
The induction week students will be making enrolments. If already done may cross check
their numbers for rectifying any errors and mistake. This is essential for registering their study
modules.
Permission to Study event
Foreign students are required to take permission regarding the study as part of enrolment
process. Student is not fully registered if does not have attended the event.
Involving in the college
Students learn about their college. They get all the required information related to the
university for assessing the opportunities.
Matriculation ceremony
This is mainly conducted for welcoming new students to the university. This ceremony
helps students in making new friends. Student by interacting in the activities conducted during
the ceremony make new friends.
Reduction in pressure
It is found that induction week helps people helps students in adjusting, making new
friends, and getting knowledge about their college. The students overcoming their challenges
focus over their studies more appropriately without any pressure (Randhuli and et.al., 2016).

LITERATURE REVIEW
Academic Writing skills
Writing skills are very important for the students in their studies and other areas also. A
student has to show his writing skill in all the events and activities that are conducted by the
university as per (Madjid, Emzir and Akhadiah, 2017). The writings skills of the students can be
improved by reading books, literature and other seminars that helps them in enhancing their
academic writing skills. It is very important for the students to be able to convey the ideas in the
right manner and write context. Without having adequate writing skills they will not be able to
make the recipient party understand their views and context. Students should practice writing
about their views and opinions about the topic of their concern. They will require to know the
structure of academic writings by learning them through articles and literature books and
journals. Students have to enhance their vocabulary to mention the phrases that drives the
attention of readers. Vocabulary is also required for understanding the context of another person.
Wischgoll, 2017 states students may not be able to provide the informative and correct
answer if they are not able to understand the meaning of the question being asked. Students have
to give time for library where they perform research of their interested area using different books
and literary journals. This is essential for increasing the knowledge about their interested areas.
Students will have to gain knowledge for presenting them through writing. The academic writing
skills also requires students to have have knowledge about the area so that their writing are
reliable and informative. This avoids presenting false information that drive readers towards
unrealistic or non informal parts. Some students have deep knowledge and understanding about
the area but yet find it difficult to express their knowledge due to lack of writing skills. Students
have to work for improving their writing skills, constant efforts are needed so that their strengths
could be better expressed. They have to focus over the voice used, style and the audience for
which it has been written.
CONCLUSION
The above reports represents the challenges faced by university students. They have to
over come their challenges and settle in the new environment. Induction week should be taken be
every students as an opportunity for interacting with new students. Academic writing skills has
to be improved by spending hours in library reading books and literature.
