Question: Why did I choose Computer Science as a major to pursue?
I did choose computer science as a major for pursuing because having a computing
background would provide me a foundation of understanding, logical thinking, and problem-
solving competencies. It would serve as a benefit to me in my career and whatever field I
would select for a job. Due to the wider applicability of computer science degrees, it is seen
by gaining the number of universities as well as, employers as an indication of academic
well-roundedness. My strengths are effectively dealing with the customers and adaptability. I
am also highly excited about performing jobs in different industries. Each industry uses
computers hence I can work in different industry as a computer scientist. There are several
problems associated with engineering, sciences, and health care areas and these all could be
solved through computers.
Computer science can also provide be abroad opportunities. Hence, I can assess the
opportunities for foreign study on the courses regarding my interested field. A year abroad
would provide me with a depth of knowledge regarding the application of computers around
the world. It would permit me to get experience in other cultures and increases some
language competencies in procedures.
I have also creativity and innovativeness skills. Computer science can aid to enhance my
skills in providing opportunities for creativity as well as, innovativeness. Developing high-
quality computing practices could be highly creative practices and computer science may
support me in doing creative work in different fields.
