In this report, we will be discussing the academic skills of the students. It will provide the
reasons for studying a degree in the university. It will analyze the key reasons that are beneficial
for students to study at the university. The main purpose of this assignment is to identify the
academic skills that students can be developed and its importance. It will also lay emphasis on
the challenges that students will face while studying at the university. The key academic skills
will also be analyzed that helps the students to get succeed in their education period (Chan et
al., 2016). At last, a study plan will be developed and evaluated to achieve short term and long
term goals.
The academic skills include writing and reading skills, presentation skills, note taking skills,
critical thinking, etc. The reasons for students to attend university are to improve their skills for
all occasions (Chan et al., 2016). It is a world of opportunity where students can gain
independence by discovering their passion.

more. Short term goals are achieved within the period of 6 months (Muntaner et al., 2017).
These skills can be achieved effectively by attending seminars and regular classes. They need to
have the subject knowledge & understanding of essay writing. Students can also make use of E-
library sources and other reading articles or practices. To increase the knowledge of Excel,
students may gain online support by using YouTube.
LONG TERM GOALS
A Long term study plan will help the students to become the analytical leader which contribute
to future success. The long term goals of Students is to achieve advanced academic skills,
writing skills, problem-solving skills, leadership and many more.
The long term goals can be achieved within the period of 4 years by attending regular seminars
and classes, taking help of youtube, work as a team, etc. (Muntaner et al., 2017)
