PERSONAL STATEMENT
Internet of Things (IoT), Integrated Communication Technology (ICT), Renewable
Energy, Dynamics of Micro and Nano-electronics are some of the names that the public at large
has grown used to in the last couple of decadesare some of the terms that have become common
tools to be employed by almost every industry. Thus, making Due to this, study of Electrical
Engineering is has become one of the fastest growing disciplines of all times in recent years.
From building a micro-chip integrated in a cellphonecell phone to developing a Motherboard
used in a Central Processing Unit (CPU) of a Personal Computer (PC), the field possessing
knowledge in the field of electrical engineering has grown to be become a necessity for each of
them technology-based companies. Apart from this, growth of telecommunications sector has
only expanded the horizons of Electrical Engineering, thus, making it one of the most sought
after preference among students like myself and all around the world.
As Mahatma Gandhi says “Be the change you want to see in the world”, it is one of my
greatest ambitions to contribute to the field of Nano-electronics no matter how small it is. It is
interesting to know how a mere introduction of Computers in the early 1990s proved to be a
blessing for those who struggled with data processing on a daily basis. Evolution of these into a
device which is powered by Carbon Nanotubes is something to admire as well as acknowledge.
Since childhood I have always been curious and fascinated about how things like
Televisions, Flash-lights, Computers and Mobile Devices worked. As time passed, this curiosity
developed into a passion which did not stop even after high school. During the school time, I
thoroughly enjoyed subjects like Python, Java, Mathematics and Physics which seemed
outrightly boring to most of my peers and friends. While planning to further continue my studies,
Electrical Engineering caught my attention as it enabled the integration of creativity, problem-
solving, designing and application of mathematical as well as scientific principles into a manner
that engaged one's mind as well as encouraged them towards contributing something to the
society.
I believe that pursuing my academics further in this discipline will enable me to gain
knowledge in areas of innovation by constantly reviewing my potential in accordance with the
current as well as future market needs. In addition to this, I have always felt a sense of gratitude
towards the comforts of the society that were only possible for our generation due to the rapid
leaps made in the field of electrical engineering and technology as a whole. Enabling one to

contribute something in this field will only mean giving back to the society what is owed to
them.
This is only possible if I have the right means and people to help me in this mission. I
believe that enrolling with your University programme would enable me to gain valuable
insights and hone my theoretical as well as practical skills in the field of Electrical Engineering.
Additionally, I also feel that this programme will also help in engaging my mind in a thought-
provoking environment. Thus, giving my actions and ideas a proper direction as well as platform
to showcase my knowledge and enhancing my career in a critical way. I look forward to the
opportunities and challenges that lie ahead of me and have confidence that the programme shall
exceed my expectations.
