Introduction:
The aim of this report is to discuss the professional development process in the
coursework through knowing and analyzing the self and well as the sector where I will be
operating in the near future. Through Gallup theory the professional skills will be judged and the
sector will be discussed by choosing two most import companies in the healthcare sector of the
UK. This report will discuss the methods of becoming commercially aware of the sector through
networking. The coursework 2 discusses specification I need for working in a chosen company
and its interview process. Finally, the report will conclude with the discussion on my already
developed skills and needed for further development.
Know yourself:
Identifying my key strengths for my desired career
Gallup strength theory helps the persons to properly identify the areas of strength and
weaknesses to become a successful employee. This theory also helps to develop the in-depth
knowledge regarding the necessary capabilities so that one can judge whether he is potent for the
tasks or not (Frich et al. 2015). through proper evaluation of the Gallup theories, I have
identified that I have some very important as well as necessary skills to help in my professional
life so that I can develop myself more accurately in my future career. The strengths I have
identified though Gallup test are Responsibility, Input, Relator, Includer, Intellection.
The responsibility factor among the other skills, helps me to identify the talent of taking
responsibility in any critical cases. As the skill determines, the people with the Responsibility
theme can easily take psychological ownership of what they say, definitely they will do. As a

responsible person, I am committed to stable the values like honesty as well as loyalty (Cottrell
2015). I am interested in the owning and running business in the healthcare sector. I am bold
resolute, extroverted and caring in one hand and cheerful as well as trustworthy on the other. The
input talent makes me instigated to know more. I like to collect all the types if information and
archive them. I not only prefer to input all the information but also use them in perfect
opportunities. I prefer to share knowledge, ideas and concepts with others so that I may see the
all-inclusive growth within my team.
Being a relator, I preferably attempt to start new relationships with others and aim to
benefit myself as well as others. I enjoy healthy relationships with others. I feel deep satisfaction
in giving all type of effort with my friends or the team members so that I can achieve the goal
within limited period of time and with limited mistakes. This aspect of my strength can be found
in the includer aspect of the Gallup theory. This skill has also helped me to be accepting to
others. I show awareness for those who feel left out. To be a good leader, I need the support from
all of the team members therefore, I feel for them and make effort to include them in my team
effectively to utilize their skills. The intellection skill has made me to ensure my intellectual
activity. I am an introspective person who appreciate intellectual discussions. This seems to be
an additional strength based on which the authority of the companies would be able to
distinguish my efficiency among the large number of staffs in the same workplace. With the help
of my intellection skill, I can make the ordinary service quite extraordinary.
How can I apply elements of these theories to achieve career aspiration?
The skills identified through this theory will be helping me in the future operations.
These skills will guide me in achieving my future aspirations in one hand and will become

therefore, I never put off by any type of circumstances or setback relaxing. I am highly

maintaining an includer approach to incorporate the human resource perfectly in my team. I
instigate myself to incorporate new methods with the help of my intellection skills. By applying
this theory, I have strategies policies for reaching the business success in a systematic way.

Analysis two companies in my sector and their history, values and ethics
As I want to work in the healthcare sector if the UK, there are two major companies such
as Nuffield Health and Spire Healthcare, which possess a great amount of human resources along
all other necessary resources needed for the successful operation in the healthcare market of the
UK. Nuffield Health is one of the largest healthcare charities in the United Kingdom
(Nuffieldhealth.com 2018). This company has the national network of over 200 hospitals,
workplaces, wellbeing centers and the local authority facilities. Along with the hospital centers,
this particular company round more than fifty wellbeing and fitness center. Due to this company
has an aim of providing charity, it remains connected with the universities of the UK and assist
in the research projects especially in the cardiovascular research.

In case of Spire Healthcare, it is the second largest private healthcare provider in the
entire UK. It operates in a network of 38 private hospitals as well as 10 clinics across the country
(Spirehealthcare.com 2018). This particular company similar to Nuffield Health maintains
contract with the medical colleges or teaching hospitals of the country. It provides trusts to the
needed patients though NHS and was awarded for its approach to the infection prevention as
well as control.
How do elements of these company’s values and ethics align with yours?
The operations of this particular organization namely Nuffield Health and of Spire
Healthcare highly motivating as the charity measures taken by this organization has true value
for humanity which is an essential part of the operation of the healthcare sector. This ethical
aspect is reflected in the policies and management of the workplace. The employees are of
cooperative and coordinating nature that create a positive work culture. B moth these companies
have effectively contributed for the development of the healthcare sector of the country without
indulging in the competition in it. Both these companies follow the theory of deontology which
relates them to keep their focus on the righteousness of their actions. These will help me to learn
the method of operation in the healthcare sector in the UK market in one hand and let me follow
the similar attitude to serve the clients effectively in any type of circumstances on the other. By
analyzing the role and operations of these two companies, I will be able to highlight the demand
of the sector and other developing factors. These will efficiently make me understand the
possible areas of risks from which the issues are often developed. These skills will help me to
grow ethical yet successful in my own career.

In the healthcare sector which I want to operate in the near future, maintaining network is
needed to build effective communication with the internal as well as external employees. This
helps to retain clients or customers through the quality of service which can only be achieved
through becoming impressive and convincing. Therefore, building and maintain proper network
is necessary so that I can acquire more knowledge about the demand of this sector in one hand
and make strategies to cater the demands of the clients on the other. In order to increase the
efficiency and the presence in the healthcare sector of the UK I need to understand the aspects of
networking with the suppliers, clients and even the existing competitors. Thus, there is a proper
understanding of the organization and the process of performing in the highly competitive
market.
Reflect on the networking events you have attended and share experiences
In order to understand more amount my sector I have attended two very important major
events and both of them were educational. These events aimed to enhance my professional and
personal skills. In both these events, I have learnt how as a manager, I can manage any type of
sudden issues but maintain a perfect environment so that the employees can operate ethically and
abide by the values of this sector. As I have the experience of a project manager, therefore, I
through these events I have learnt to increase efficiency in terms of quality and deliver the
project on the stipulated time. In operating the cross-cultural environment of the health care
sector in the UK, I need to overcome the language barrier which I have faced during these
events. Through these educational events, I have come across various aspects of management
