Introduction
Enrolment Systems are used for managing the students at the time of admission to a
university. Enrolment system is combinations of all activities which is being involved in an
enrolment process and combines or integrate them to build up a system. Enrolment system
will be helpful to manage the activities of a student along with the enrolment process.
Enhancement of enrolment system could be including some enquiry form which will be
helpful for creating automated email. The enrolment system purpose is to provide a
meaningful way for faculty and staffs by writing down the data which are essential in aspect

Important System Capabilities:
 Student Information:
In this system information of student is being gathered and student credentials like name,
address and mobile number and personal e-mail address were entered in the system. The data
which is being entered is being stored in database. Each student information is being entered
in the table of student information table. After authentication of system it will be move to the
next page where information regarding major selection is being done.
 Enrolment of Major:
In this page of system, major is being selected by student like in which major he/she want to
register. For example, he/she can register in Information Science, Arts, Accounting or many
more majors. There were three terms offered in university. So, selection of term should be
mentioned in this page.
 Course Selection:
After selecting and verifying the major, student should select their course from course
selection. Each major offers 3-4 courses in its field. Student should select their course and
their class time from a list of different class time showing in a radio button. It may not select
the student if there were more than 40 students in a particular course.
 Review of Information:
In this page of enrolment system, review of information can be done which has been entered
in the previous pages. Student can review their information and can edit if any mistakes were
happen. After checking and verifying the details by student, system will move on to payment
page.
 Payment Options:
In this page payment options are provided using which payment can be done by student.
Different payment options like credit card or master card options is being required to for
paying the fees. Cardholder name, card type and expiry information should be entered to
proceed further.

 Guidelines:
After payment is being done, details regarding courses and information regarding their
faculties is being displayed in the page. Details regarding library, and location of department
is being displayed in the system.

Business Benefits:
Online system will minimizes the financial cost to an institution. Signing up of students will
make lot of information and it requires database to store this information of students. With
the help of online system, institute will invest in a single system that helps to integrate all
different information. With the help of online system, it will be easier to connect it with
different system of an institution. Communication, connection and cost will be saved by
including the online enrolment system. Many analytics can be applied in future like majors in
which most of the students are enrolled, so that it will be helpful for an institute to make wise
decision which will provide profit to their organisation.

Resources which are required for enrolment systems are:

 Desktop
 Storage Requirement: 10 GB of Free Space
 RAM: 512 MB
Software Requirements:
 Operating System: Windows 7/8/10
 Programming Language: Java
 Database: MySQL
More resources like students will be required for gathering the information like students
credentials and which majors and courses they want to take. Database is being build first and
entries will be taken from software which will store the information in different tables which
have been built according to various requirements. For example, student_information table
will store the information of credentials of students. Major table will store the information of
different major selected by different students.

Above image will represent about stakeholders which are available in enrolment system.
Stakeholder are those entities which participate in an event with concern regarding profit. In

the above images stakeholders shown above are students, Staff, faculty and Banks. By
creating an enrolment system for university it will help students by providing a simple
interface which can make work at a single place. There would not be a queue like offline
mode and online systems will make it easier to enrol in a university. Staff will be an other
stakeholders because by making an enrolment system online, it will reduce the efforts of the
staffs which have been made earlier. Faculty will also be a one stake holder because efforts of
faculty should also be reduced if the enrolment system will be upgraded into student
management system, which will provide ease for the faculty to provide assignment and study
materials to the students. Another stakeholder would be a Bank, because when students were
enrolled in a course they pay their fees with the help of online transaction mode. With the
collaboration of bank it would be easier for the bank to get new employees for their bank.
University will also be in profit with the online enrolment system because less effort should
be required and every information is available in form of database which can be used for
further analysis. Programmer could be an other stake holder because to make online
enrolment system, there would be a need of programmer which can build this system.
There are two types of Stakeholders:
Internal Stakeholder:
These are those stakeholders which work within an organisation like students, staff and
faculty. They include stakeholders which work on a daily basis or that users which users
which uses system daily.
External Stakeholders:
These are those stakeholders which do not use the system on daily basis. They are generally
outsiders but have strong interest in the system and they have profit from the system. For
example bank would be an external stakeholder which have profit from the enrolment system.

Broad feasibility of Project:
Project which should be made is about enrolment system in university. Projects have feasible
in various scenarios and it may have certain risks as well.
Feasibility of Project:
 Due to online system there would be a main server which will control all other
systems which were connected to the primary server and it will be helpful to store
information in a particular place.
 It will reduce the efforts of students, staff and Faculty which were working in an
university by providing an portal and an application in which student can register
him/herself by providing its credentials and selecting course and major would be easy
for student as well.
 It would help university as well, they can store all the information of student in a
particular database and which would be helpful to analyse it further and make some
actions according to it.
Risk of Project:
 A technical person which have knowledge of server would be require which can
operate the main server, because if issues have been occurred then it would be easier
for the university to solve it as early as possible.
 Security provider should be required to provide a payment gateway to university and
provide firewall to prevent it from attacker.
 If main server will be down, then systems which are reliable on main server will stop
working and make the system down.
 Multiple copies of database should be maintained if any issue would happen to main
database then copy would be helpful to retrieve database and information would not
be loss of students.
 Admin panel access should be provided to one user so that unauthorised access should
be prevented.

Project Outcome:
This project would base on enrolment system of a university. Enrolment system will provide
online access for university to store information of student which want to enrol in the
university. Below points will describe about each page of the system.
 First page of the system will be of collecting an information of student like their
name, email-id and mobile number and some personal details and the student id which
should be available in the COE.
 In Second page student should have been asked about what major they want to choose
like Arts, Accounting and Information Science etc. After selecting the major they
would be moved to the third page.
 In third page courses offered in particular major have been shown and students have
to choose 3-4 courses according to their preferences.
 After selecting the courses next page would be review page in which if any mistake is
being done can be edited. After confirming the review application they have been
moved to next page.
 Next page is of payment page in which payment should be done in either debit or
master card. They should have to enter cardholder name, card number and expiry date
of card. After confirming the payment student should be move to next page.
 Next page is about information about timings of their classes and location of their
departments where they have been enrolled.
