Introduction:
The sudden realization does not happen in our life very often. This is because in most of
the cases, we do not get bothered about the things happening around us. Many of those incidents
have potential to change our thoughts and change the course of our lives.
Body:
Before I share my epiphany, I would like to detail my background personally as this is
connected with my growing up in an influential family. From the very childhood, I found
prosperity around me in such a manner that wastage was very much common. I misused time,
food, money, books and all the other thing that a spoiled child of an affluent house does. I did not
learn to bother about the things I needed in my life as my parents could not give me their time
but replaced their affection and love with expensive gifts. I have been lived in a posh residence,
educated in a high class school and mixed with wealthy friends. The tendency of wasting things
had grown within me and respecting others for their efforts and acknowledging their contribution
was a luxury to me that I never wanted to experience.
The epiphany took place when I was 11 and went to another city to meet one of my
cousins. I was with my family travelling by car with all my happy moments. We were passing
through a village where people with poor, hungry face were staring at the large car of ours. We
were passing with all pride and obnoxious attitude suddenly the brake of the car went wrong and
it bashed into a food stall. Immediately the car caught fire and the situation was inexplicable. We
three in our car were entombed with the treat of blast, could not open the doors or windows,
smoke everywhere and half dead with dread. I have seen death very close to me as I saw my

father getting scorched with fire and shouting for help. I did not think that we could survive the
situation as the food stall that we basked also caught fire.
Conclusion:
Unexpectedly, a hand pulled me away from the half dead situation. I saw the villagers
rushing towards the stall and the car. They took us in a safe zone and I found the person who life
me up in his shoulder was the owner of the stall. He did not think about himself but rushed to
save a child. This incident changed me completely. I transformed from a spoiled brat to a
responsible person from that day. I found humanity is the most precious gift we have got and this
must not be wasted. Before I lived for myself but now I live for others.
