1.0 Introduction
The research is to be conducted for evaluating the relationship between the incubated
startups and the management of jobs for both local and international students in Melbourne city,
Australia. The topic demonstrates the ability of the business incubators who have assisted the
new and startup companies to develop and grow through delivery of various services including
the management training or office space. According to the National Business Incubation, the
business incubators act as tools for managing the national and regional economic growth and
development (griffith.edu.au, 2018). The incubated startups have maintained websites where
various jobs are available for the local and international students from Griffith University and
other Universities to get employment.
The main role of the incubated startups is to arrange various job scopes and opportunities
for the students and ensure that more jobs are generated for students all over Australia. The
project focuses on how a proper website is opened by the University to with the formation of
incubated startups for the creation of jobs for both the local and international students. The
Griffith University has engaged with the innovative and incubated startups for the fostering of
new ideas and concepts to promote job opportunities and establish a healthy entrepreneurial
culture too (Bailetti & Bot, 2013). There are various aspects that have arisen questioning the
effectiveness of incubated startups in Melbourne city regarding the creation of jobs for both the
local and international students in Melbourne city, Australia.

2.0 Discussion
Aim of the project
The research project aims to evaluate the efficiency of engaging in incubated startups by
Griffith University for generating jobs for both the local and international students. The case
study of Griffith University is considered because it has engaged with incubated startups for
developing various new ideas and created jobs for the individuals in Melbourne city, Australia
through appropriate funding, management of resources and networking activities (Kohler, 2016).

How can the Universities engage in the incubated startups to foster new idea generation along
with the development of new job opportunities for the students all over Australia?
3.0 Critical literature review

Universities all over Australia to engage with the incubated startups. The technology startups,
with the assistance of Universities have created various jobs for the local and international
students as well as transformed the publicly funded services into the job scopes and
opportunities. This has not only improved the effectiveness of the Universities and enhanced
their brand name through creation of jobs for the students and making sure to improve the
placement services that the students expected (Bailetti & Bot, 2013). The websites are created
and job creation engine are fuelled by technology entrepreneurs, which has not only improved

the effectiveness of incubated startups, but also has helped in coping up with the environmental
instability. Bailetti & Bot (2013) stated that the visibility of the job creation structures is
important for ensuring that the right jobs are assigned to the right individuals and even ensured
that the jobs were not lost. Saichaie & Morphew (2014) stated that the Universities have
involved with the new businesses to develop and manage websites or job portals from where the
students can access the various jobs roles that can be suitable based on their qualifications, skills
and degrees that they hold (Saichaie & Morphew, 2014). The architecture of the job creation
should be made visible to the stakeholders involved in the project including the University
authorities, investors or shareholders, technology entrepreneurs, service providers, IT
professionals, tax payers, Government and regulatory bodies too, who are associated with the
management of website. This has also helped in exceeding the jobs that may have been lost in a
certain region and thus a robust and effective job creation engine has been created as well (Lu, El
Helou & Gillet, 2013).
Based on the statements provided by Kohler (2016), the corporate accelerators have
developed a bridge or connection between the business organizations, i.e., the Universities in this
case and the incubated startups to create new business horizons through establishment of new
jobs for the local and international students all over Australia. The incubated startups have been
the major sources of innovation, which has employed various new and emerging technologies for
reinventing business models through creation of new jobs and inventing new services for the
betterment of people within the community (Kohler, 2016). The managers are responsible for
managing these activities as they are involved with the employees of the organization to design
the corporate accelerators and leveraged the innovation of incubated startups. It has not only
helped in implementing the right kinds of innovation strategies through consideration of

a whole.

activities to promote higher education and at the same time, facilitated the job creation through

research design will determine the cause and effect of conducting the research though the

Variables
The descriptive research design has linked the two variables to ensure that the research

the incubators is the independent variable, which has created an impact on the dependent
variable, i.e., the management of websites for creation of jobs for the local and international
students (Creswell & Creswell, 2017). The independent variables are the incubated startups
along with the Universities who have provided relevant support to them for the management of
websites and creation of jobs for the students from Melbourne city, Australia.
Data collection
According to the research, the secondary data will be collected from the various
secondary resources, which are used for presenting the literature review section of the research
project. The assessment of various secondary sources of data including the journals, articles,
documents and websites containing information about the Universities in incubators assisting in
job creation for the local and international students will be done for presenting data and
information required to conduct the research efficiently. The quantitative data will be obtained
by providing survey questionnaires to the students and few employees of the organization who

from the last ten years, more than 10500 jobs have been created with number of men and women

the male to female ratio is 2:1. The annual reports and work and career in Australian University
reports will be assessed to construct quantitative data and information related to the job
opportunities provided to the individuals.
Data analysis
The secondary data has been collected from the secondary sources and are related to the
quantitative databases, which will assist in utilizing the verbal and visual materials for analyzing
the quantitative data. The thematic analysis will be effective though for analyzing the secondary
quantitative data and determine the data patterns. It could be reliable and effective for providing
support to the analysis process as well as manage proper analysis and interpretation of data with
relevant explanation about the actual phenomenon for the fulfillment of research goals and
objectives with convenience (De Vaus & de Vaus, 2013). The Excel sheets should be used for
analyzing and interpreting the data in graphical formats and tables for ease understanding by the
researcher. The linear aggression analysis could also be effective for determining the link or
connection between the two variables, furthermore understand the effectiveness of conducting
the research appropriately. The CAGR tool will be used for determining the numbers of male and
female students who have got the jobs and even compare the present year results with the
previous years (Yin, 2017). This will not only assess the performance of the business, but can
also help in deriving positive outcomes all throughout the research.

Research limitations
The major limitations that might be faced while conducting the research include the cost
and time constraints. In spite of the availability of enough financial resources and time required
for conducting the research, still for the generation of new ideas and concepts required for job
creation and website management, substantial amount of funds are needed. If the time and cost
constraints are not overcome, then the research might fall sort of accomplishing the goals and
objectives properly. The other limitations might be associated with the lack of authenticity of
data and information and this could hinder the successful accomplishment of the research
effectively too (Nardi, 2018).

The research project was aimed at the evaluation of impact created by the Universities
engaged with the incubators for the generation of new ideas and creating jobs for the local and
international students. Various secondary sources of data were assessed to collect relevant
information and data and even the work and career reports had been reviewed to obtain
information about the numbers of jobs provided during the last few years. The descriptive
research design was considered as effective while the collection and analysis of data was
