Task 1 PID (Project Initiation Document)
Project Initiation Document
PID which is named as Project Initiation Document is used for providing layout of project or task
which is to be completed. It is used for indicating a reference point for both client as well
developing or project team for identifying the completion status or working status of project. It is
also known as decision document because in most of cases by using this, we can decide
implementation of mandate. It is also obtained with starting of project as well as ending or
middleware in water fall model. Here, below are some steps for PID for the given case study and
these are as follows:
Objectives
Budgetary information
Timescales
Approach
Key staff
Stakeholder analysis
Objectives
The main objective and aim is for constructing an well designed & managed event which are
used for quality analyst of universities for higher education. At computer lab of mainly
universities of UK (United Kingdom) which are London, Birmingham and Manchester, we have
to modernize the new teaching facilities to the class room or tutorials room. For this, make sure
that all type or tiers of person are preparing for stakeholders with their requirements and needs.
Budgetary Information
For this event management, the projected budget or amount is 50000 £. This whole budget is
divided in well-designed manner with equality such that all stages or phases are covered for
fulfilling completion of project and event. For the successfully completion of this project, we
have to follow the following mentioned 5 stages which are needed for event management and
these are:

Planning

Initiate
Implementation
Execution
Closing
Planning is very first most step in which we have planned that what we have to do and what
process or phases which should be followed for this event. All the tasks, are divided into small
modules. Initiate is process on which task is started and further process is going on.
Implementation is way of progressing or completing this task with implementation of required
things that are physically or logically. Execution is defined as practical implementation of event
which are final and ready to be use. Closing is indication of fulfilling requirement of event with
terminating or finishing event.
Timescales
By taking a snippet for planning phase of event management, I think that completion time is
almost 20 days. This time period is containing some following process by finishing them and
these are planning, purchasing the required equipment, staff or employee for training, collecting
or taking requirement and need of stakeholders, complete document with proper documentation
& reliable facts & figures, applying different activities. After applying them, we have to go under
testing for getting better results. At the end, welcoming of all guests, different opportunities for
teacher, employee or students managing food for guests by deciding a very effective menu and
other activities.
Approach
I have chosen waterfall model technique because it is following the linear project management
approach. In this all steps or work is completed in a linear way for decreasing complexity for
easily completion of task. In this, requirement for customer and stakeholders are collected at one
place or initial phase. After that, plan is create which is to be executed in sequential manner.
There are also mainly 5 phases of waterfall model and these are: requirements, design,
implementation, verification and maintenance (Waterfall Model, 2018).
For this, task planning & coordinating event is major aim. In this, it is modernize the new market
by adding some new opportunities for employee as faculty members and students only and only

at computer lab of mainly universities of UK (United Kingdom) which are London, Birmingham

Key staff
Here, for this task there are a team which are responsible for completion of this task and these
are HRD (Director of Human Resource), Manager, Staff or Employee for consortium, manager
for employee, manager for communication, manager for stage, manager for various stages,
manager for marketing that are digital as well as social, and manager for handling whole team.
Stakeholder analysis
Stakeholder analysis is defined as the process of analyzing system performance by making
changes into them according to industry scenario as well as market scenario also. It is used for
getting the different projects into well designed manner by creating a better understanding with
implementation. There are mainly 3 steps which are following at time of analysis of stakeholder.
First one is identification of stakeholder. Second one is providing or giving priorities to the
stakeholders. Third one is analyzing & better understanding of key stakeholders (Thompson, R.,

Task 2
Work Breakdown Structure
Work breakdown structure (WBS) is defined as the project layout or outlines which are further
divided into subparts which can be easily managed. We can create folders or files and also crate
folders and files into them (WBS, 2019).
At below, is the WBS (work breakdown structure) for the well designed and managed event
organised at computer lab of mainly universities of UK (United Kingdom) which are London,
Birmingham and Manchester:

Task 3
Risk Registers
Risk can come from anywhere but there are solution availed for them. Let us take an illustration
of handling an event or project. In this, we have to minimize the risk which it has. Such that, it is
providing successful outcomes and progressive report for particular event. Here, it is mandatory
that the risk is to be recorded before it invokes. Hence, each & every organization is containing a
management register for handling them in a well-designed and effective.
Here, below I have mentioned required entities for creating and generating a risk management
register which are important for maintaining it and these are:
Respective unique ID’s for risks.
Designation of Owner
Tremble or Impact
Mitigation or Contingent Action
Weighting score for Pre action
Post action
