would you recommend the firm choose a partner, a collaboration mode and governance
structure for the relationship?
In case a firm wants to collaborate with a partner, it is recommended that it must go for joint
venture. This is due to the fact that the when a firm enters a new market. There are different
factors put pressure upon their successful operation. Now the company when enters the market
gets an extra leverage through collaborating with another company operating in the same market
for long. In this case, the company must decide the There are various factors like licensing,
outsourcing and many other operational terms of the companies which perfectly cater the idea of
complexities of the collaboration process. The firms need to be goal oriented that motivates them
to get a strategic direction for training desired outcome.

more organizations. What do you believe were advantages and disadvantages of this

The article published in Economictimes.indiatimes.com (2020) it has been found that Walmart
had aimed to enter the Indian market through joint venture process with Flipkart. The
collaboration between these two companies has led both the partners to enjoy growth in the
online market but there are some issues to be faced also. There is a formidable ally between these
two companies which serve economic boost in the country as an advantage, but local sellers are

being nervous as the import will enhance marring the local business. This business has led to
hyper competitive prices making this difficult to operate.

The post by the first classmate K. Rodriguez is not defined properly according to the
requirements. This is due to the fact that the posts do not clearly shows the question and answer
format. There is no mention about the questions and the parts of the questions are not defined in
separate paragraphs. The first question has been answered in a form of recommendation
therefore the utility of the answer of choosing a partner. Towards the end, the recommendation
tone transforms into informative one.

Here the link of the article is not present which questions the authenticity of the case study. Here

prominent. This is due to the fact that the questions and answers are properly defined which had
made the presentation clear in terms of understanding. This particular post has mentioned about
why the process of selecting a partner for development of the firms are necessary. Here the post
is effectively taken an example of company operating in the aerospace industry where popularity

and effectiveness of joint venture is granted to be the best. It has detailed why the companies
need to use capability complementation for success in the competitive scenario. This post has
also mentioned about the governance structure where the roles and responsibilities of the
partners will be detailed so that there is no confusion. All of the three parts are defined properly
in three paragraphs.
In the second question, T. Brewer has found out an article where there are detailed mentioned of
the joint venture between Boeing and Embraer. Here paragraphs are not divided according to
questions. Most part of the post talks about the disadvantages of joint venture rather than the
