Life Circumstances
What are your life circumstances?
Presently, I am pursuing my graduation and plan to be accepted in a mission agency
by the end of my sophomore year. I feel that I am fortunate enough to get a supportive
environment around me, where both my rents and my wife are enthusiastic about my choice
of my career. In my opinion, the life circumstances that one is in reveal one is potential rather
than defining it. Therefore, in my endeavour to create contacts and expand our networking
strategy I have received some really interested clients, especially from our parent’s church. I
had anticipated the presence of my wife in the forthcoming seminary and planned her role in
the raising the sense of awareness and assisting the people regardless of their background.
However, just because her boss reassigned her role her previous position she plans to
participate in my cause by providing us with the monetary benefits. My parents too are
excited about my endeavour and are affirmative about monetary and non-monetary assistance
that we will need. My parent’s church are so supportive that even they have agreed to support
a limited number of student’s involved within the ministry preparation. This step from their
side has been out of the blue for me because most churches in North America have never
done that before. However, just because of motivation and inspiration that our parents and
our student have instilled, the churches has agreed to be part of this entire programme. I being
in the age of 44 have limitless horizon of opportunity waiting for me and when I get
responses like this, I feel that I have chosen my road to life correctly. I am also thankful to
god for he has given me the right opportunity in the right time and provided me with the
supportive family and co-partner. Sometimes I feel it the love and good will of the people

that has kept me fit as a fiddle, which in turn has accelerated my degree of service. Having
said that it does not mean I have never fallen ill or got tired but the constant motivation and
aspiration of the people have helped me to keep the head high. Being a man with a married
wife put me forward to a list of pre-defined stereotypical roles defined by society. This
generally includes developing regular parenting skills or getting a salaried job and working to
feed my family, which refers to the same age-old status of a breadwinner to hop on.
However, I feel I am fortunate enough that my family are both supportive and cooperative to
support my cause and provide me with the resources that are needed to realise my dream
project.
Mission Statement and Vision

I personally never felt that I am the beholder of any particular talent but my rule for
living life has been quite simple, that is, being transparent and be responsible for the words
uttered. I always try to make sure that I not only reach to people but also connect with their
emotional and cognitive status. Since I hold a lot of experience in dealing with the people and
have somehow built the knack of their actual feelings and the desire they claims as well as
suffer from. Reading across the bible and other relatively important text has given me the
important information that allows me to connect to people. I will not boast for having the
power and the capacity to influence people but I take it as a blessing from god. I think my
talent or my skills that I have been able to grow in the following years will help me to reach
out to people and always be at service for a greater good. My teachings and my passions for
helping people publicly has always been the driving force of my life. I feel that I have a
strong disposition that can help other people to rely on me and in this way; I can uplift them
of their dire situation. It is very important to grow leadership qualities and it is equally

important to maintain proper temperament. Sometime due to several reason, a person tends to
become cranky, but I feel for my disposition to forces that are self-driving I always tend to
put forward the greater cause against my own petty excuses. It is important for one realise
that life hold a bigger box of secrets and it beholds more surprises that one can think of.
While dealing with or addressing the hall full of young devotees I experiences the sense of
satisfaction and by doing so I believe that I can connect to invincible and the almighty power.
Having or believing in something can fetch power and boost ones confidence thus it becomes
essential for preacher and as well the devotees to have faith on each other.
Identify your learning styles
Human being never cease to adapt, because they are in constant influence of change.
Learning and acquiring knowledge has been the part of my life. Since my entire life has been
an event of meeting people and treating or helping them by providing service, I have acquired
skills based on the apprehension power. In this case, not only my apprehension about people
have helped to build my perception about the needs and requirement of people but it has
enhanced my multi-sensory teaching skills. Unlike conventional teaching, which only
involved hearing, multi-sensory teaching design, helps me to engage the persons by their
ears, eyes, and hand. With my experience of dealing people I have realised it is very
important to give full attention to people and make the conversation comprehensible. Thus, I
need to employ my imaginative skills by try to understand what the nature of the audience I
host. In this way, it helps me to develop the analytical and imaginative power of handling the
client (Clough and Holley 2016). Solo use of any skills is detrimental to the comprehension
of the individual holistically. Thus, I think it is very important for persons hone up their skills
squarely. Multi- sensory skills must be addressed for preaching the audience. However, I
think one must always remember that it is very important for staying flexible with the time
and audience. For every client belongs to a specific background and can come with an issue

that is very specific to their nature. Thus, the skills acquired or inculcated should always
remain dynamic and analytical along with the intrinsic nature of free common sense and
imaginative skills.
Growth Plans for Character
Even though I have full urge to help other people and I have earned full and complete
faith from my near ones I still feel a void inside that always reminds me of my inefficacy and
failures. The willingness to assist people and take care of the downtrodden has always been
present in my mind. However sometime I came across difficult situation when things does
not go the way one has planned. Often idealised situation is not executed properly in real life
scenario. There are also situations that made me go speechless and instilled tint of doubt in
my mind. Feelings can go haywire if their roots are not so strong, just because my faith in my
believe has a strong foundation I fail to divert from my track. Instead of diverting me from
my target these kind of scenarios help me to gain, confidence and it also build my personality
in dynamic way.
Being in my graduation and having a lot of experience in the field of public service I
had fear to speaking. From childhood onwards, I had experienced stage fright but that could
not stop me from achieving my desired goals. With my burgeoning confidence, level in
public service and my faith in the service of god I have not only overcame the stage fright but
also became a good speaker. Often at times things do not work as you expect and sometimes I
have to totally rely on my common sense and expect to better the conditions of the situation.
In this way, it has provided me with the opportunity to better my oratory skills and build the
ability to grasp the pattern of person’s behaviour. This has allowed me to enhance the
emotional attribute of forgiveness and provided me with the scope spreading the message of
love and mercy. The skills that I have garnered meanwhile include public or crowd

management, public speaking, leadership qualities and so on. The emotions that I have
successfully being able to discard are those of fear, and disgust because I have effectively
realised the importance of the love and care (Malphurs, 2006). In this way I plan to build the
growth chart.
What is your personal ministry direction
If one is aware of the personal ministry direction it will help them to identify the
aspect of oneself and learn about one own inclination. The gifts of perceiving the distress or
sometimes the dire emotional turbulence that one is going through gives me innate desire to
console them and bring things to place. It is not always to relieve people of their distressful
situation, sometimes it just providing happiness. People in their day-to-day life get so
engrossed in futile fights that they forget to realise that there are things that are beyond the
petty feuds. Therefore, I feel like giving them an extra inch of happiness by making them
laugh or make them smile. When I can make people smile in their severe condition of distress
I feel that my gift of make people happy has been accomplished. Thus, I feel the urge of
sharing it with others, which has in turn become the passion of my life that is to mould the
dire situation of distress in such a way to laughing gag. The act of blaming the pain or
sometimes the releasing the distress of the person emerge from the deep-seated value of
helping others. The gifts I possess and the passion I follow emerge from the values I hold
onto, this gives way to the purpose of my life.
Every individual aspires to live in this world with a purpose of growing or developing
from his or her weaknesses. Thus, the presence of vision in the life of the individual provides
them with meaning and a goal in life. Having said that it also refers to those people who have
lost their vision of life and are living in complete limbo. Therefore, it becomes important for
a person to stay connected to their vision of life. In my initially days I did not realise my

vision but deep-down I knew that helping people and assisting from the distress would
provide me with intense happiness and satisfaction. As the days continued, I have realised
that my vision of serving the people and spreading the message of love, care and awareness
needs a platform where it can be showcased. In this place, my parents took a bold step to help
me out and they provided me with the platform of experiencing my true passion of my life.
Thus, my ministry vision was to make myself useful to the fullest, help people by realising
their pain and spreading the word of awareness and message of Jesus.
It became easier for me to figure out my mission statement because my vision
statement was clearly chalked out (Jones and Beth, 2001). The mission was do to away with
the prevailing injustice and inequality of the society. The basic purpose of my mission is to
confront the prevailing injustice and inequality in the society and make them realise about
love and mercy of god. It becomes very important to alleviate the position so that they can
fully exercise their idea of freedom of expression and improve their stand of living. The
assistance that I received from my family and the support I received from my loving wife
gave me the courage to practice my vision statement practically. It becomes significantly
important for a vision to have a situation and temporal location.
Goals and Context of Ministry
The goal and the context of my ministry includes development and advancement of
my character along with successful attainment of my purpose of my life. The more I meet
people the more I get to discover various dwindling cognitive senses. This makes me realise
that urgency of spreading the message of love and happiness among people. Most the youth
now a days suffer because they are lost and lacks a proper guidance in life. The realisation
that I have derived from these experiences encourages following my passion. However, for
this reason I am fully aware of the deficiency I am possess. The deficiencies are not limited to
any specific area like my emotional status or my hold of knowledge or any other particular

ministry skills. I prefer an overall development that will include brainstorming to personality
development skills. With my limited exposures to the academic expertise, I need to gather
more books not only related to Christianity but also related to mass behaviour of people of
various culture. Moreover, as I do not know about the particular region that I tend to explore I
have to devote all my time in learning their language and their culture. In this way I would
able to go the rudimentary level and try to preach them with the actual knowledge they need.
While doing so there may occur obstacles that my mental-build may resist or may be my
initiatives to can be farfetched that it may lead to a political conflict. Thus, I need to work on
my behavioural strategies and how dealing people can better there as well as my situation. I
think there is a whole lot of thing that I need to work on. This will involve my character along
with my emotional status. I also need to read and nurture my intellectual skills so that it can
bring mental peace and satisfaction. I have to control my temperament and do not feel
flabbergasted when thing do not follow its regular course. I need to develop a proper
understanding of the country and their culture specific attitude that I will be opting for. Not
only their present situation but also I need to build the scope that will enhance security of
their future circumstances. In this way, my method of developing will contain aspects of the
learners, content, my own experience as well as my mentor.
The goals that I have set for my personal ministry includes developing my personal
character, trying to reach out to people, addressing the right cause, providing with the grief
care and so on and so forth. It will also include preaching the principles of Bible to youth and
ones who have lost their direction of their life. In this way, I can empower youth and the
youth adults to a more responsible and accountable way of life. Thus, they can experience the
fullness of Catholic faith and can go through the human, intellectual and spiritual formation
of youth and young adults.

Rules of Life
Since family is the root of one’s own existence, it is very important to love one’s own family.
A family is also a fundamental unit of church and those who are participating in endeavour of
helping other should be entrusted with support so that they can strive to share the Catholic
Faith at home itself. The rules of my personal ministry will cover different dimension like my
learning style, developing my competencies, design, along with spouse, children, parents,
relatives and so on. The rules of my life are as follows:
 Teachings must be accurate and it must be presented in such a way that the listeners
will be able to connect it with their present state. It must be presented with simplicity
and must relevant to their specific culture.
 Words should not sound superficial it must sound genuine and authentic. I should
preach in such a way that can help the people to overcome their current distress.
 Other aspects like taking care of the community should also be taken care. I should
also take care of the social-minded people who can help expand the life of the
community.
 Learning or teaching should be help the preacher learn and exercise their free will of
thought. However, it must be kept in mind that overuse of audio-visual aid can be
detrimental to the sole purpose of my ministry.
 With the tumultuous experience of my life I have realised that one cannot always
uplift the person of their complexities of life. Thus, I feel that sometimes it will be
better to let the people navigate their own course of life.
 It is also important to be flexible and resist rigidity this will make me practical and it
will help to maintain hold among the people and the congregation.

 No one like boring of monotonous life style sometimes a bit of meandering is
required. Thus, it is important this take the rules as the guiding aid to attain
sustenance.
Challenges
As the proverb warns, “If you intend to serve the Lord (and follow a high calling)
prepare yourself for an ordeal”, this is to say if I have to prepare myself for a mission it is
very important for me to realise that the path forward is not devoid of the “hazardous zone”.
The challenges that can serves as an obstacles are as follow:
 In the initial days, I can feel inadequacy for the new environment that I am in
and must feel ill at ease with their newness of the lifestyle. It may also occur
that I feel the inferiority complex because of my lack of up skilling.
 Challenges can result due to various cause for instance dwindling faith of the
youth resulting slowing of the strength in congregation or it can be my sudden
arousal towards doubting others so on and so forth
 Challenges can occur at any level sometimes it can be on the rudimentary or
sometimes it can occur superior level. It can occur subtly or with large
magnificent crack of sound.
 According to the problem occurs in foundation level but once got the
momentum you get the zeal and the zest for accomplishing your goal.
 Challenges can mainly prompt in the social dimension due to my lack of
experience and inadequacy for field formerly.
