The goal is to implement a campus network system for Melbourne Institute of Technology with
wireless network for the computing facilities. In the University, the wireless network system develops
teaching and research.
1.4 Objectives
Following are the objectives of this project plan:
ï‚· To provide wireless network system to students and staffs within 18 months
ï‚· To increased productivity by 30 percent with implementation of network system
ï‚· To attach new students and expand of the university network
2.0 Project requirements

Applications The wireless network supports of user applications like web browsing,
email and transferring of file.
Coverage areas The users require to access to wireless network from the campus premises.
It requires wireless connectivity into the administrative office, conferences
rooms, and computer labs.
Client devices The users should use of laptop which is running into Microsoft Vista
operating system.
Non-functional requirements
Security The wireless network is kept secured with strong password.
Usability The network system allows the users to access to the system from use of

university. It provides with networking foundations for the future of the university. This will provide with
robust wired as well as wireless network at the campus. This project plan will provide the staffs as well
as student with the devices which will support them with use of wireless technology within the
classroom.
