INTRODUCTION
Portfolio can termed as a combinations in which student academic work and other related
types of educational evidences with the format aim to review the quality of academic
performance Course work and learning and development progress (Baker, 2015). It helps in
evaluating whether a student effectively accomplish the overall criteria of graduation standards
great promotions are not. The present report is mainly a student reflective account two major
points are covered that includes learning of University and skills that acquire during the course
work.
Skill reflection
In the tenure at University, I take advantage of various skills in which some of the skills were
effectively inherited by me and some of the skills required by me in the process of Course work
along with the lectures that has been given by tutors. In relations with this all the skills
effectively benefit me in the process of my academic life at University it is briefly mention
below:
Communication skills
This skill is mainly an individual ability within which giving and receiving of information with
other person or group takes place. Communication skill basically consist various kinds of
element that include listening and emphatizing, observing and speaking at the time of my college
tenure. Different type of skills have been inherited by me in which formative form
communication skills not only benefit me in my personal life but this skill also effectively aid me
and benefit me in my life in weekly sessions. It has been analysed by me that there are mainly
three forms of communication skills such as visual, oral and written. All of these elements
effectively benefit me towards improving my academic growth, along with this with the help of
effective communication skills chance of getting better future opportunities and growth raised

Presentation skill
The skill is mainly ability in a person within which they present the interest on a particular topic
in front of targeted audience (Basturkmen, 2014). Presentation skills mainly include different
types of element such as tone body language, voice, speaking way, tone etc. In the initial day of
my college I have realised that presentation skill of mine was not that much effective as I feel
hard to attract other individual on my presentation. But after taking regular classroom sessions in
a week I come across through various effective steps that include body language, eye contact,
soft speaking skills, and attractive slides. This can be further set that with the help of presentation
skills and effectively able to deliver my presentation in my particular specialised academic zone
which automatically contributes towards my high grade marks in this segment of speaking zone

Reading skills
Reading skill is an ability of an ability of an individual which they showcase the way in which
they a read and interpret things in a right manner. This sills act an essential element in each and
every students along with readers’ life. People those were especially belong to academic zones
this skill can be termed as a most essential element in their career and is mandatory to advance
their career level. As per analysing my past experience it has been realised by me that in the
initial stage I am not that much easy to interpret reading material in a proper time. This was due
to my underdeveloped vocabulary stills that look towards taking lot of my time as I kept on
searching new words on Google after the passing time I read more Books with the help of which
I have effectively developed the skills moreover it can be evaluated that reading skills not only
benefit me in reading my academic books in a perfect time period but it also helps me to increase
my knowledge. As a result I have actually able to gain more merit grades in a college tenure

Group and Team Skills
A person can turn into flourishing in academic and professional life simply when he
holds the formative aptitude to exertion in collaboration and coordination with others to obtain
wanted outcomes. Throughout the lecture, I erudite the importance of functioning within teams.
Along with this, a manner in which helps in assisting working in a collectively mode on the road
to attaining the goals and objectives. I formatively learnt Belbin’s Theory which qualified me the
roles that each person in a team plays and the way in which this contributes in the direction of
the attainment of targets of team.. These skills will effectively benefit to shape my personal
ability and personality through which I can easily able to work with any individual without
getting involved in a dispute.

Reflective thinking acts as a practice of analytical thinking in which an individual

In the process of my course work tenure lecture, I have gained the knowledge related to Gibbs
reflective cycle. This model is one of the most effective tools which effectively assist an
individual to conduct writing and reflective thinking. This model can be further use by me in a
reflective assignment at my university. As it will help to gain, appreciation in order to display
my exceptional thinking process. Thus, with the help of reflective thinking skill in future I am
effectively able to conduct my assignment by giving effective judgement.

Types of Graphs
Graph refers to pictorial representation of statistical data to improvise clarity of
information. Tutors have guided me to acquire knowledge related with ways in which data
within graphs and tables can be evaluated and interpreted as well to draw labelled graphs by
making use of computer. I have acquired knowledge associated with different types of graphs by
which I can make eye-catchy and attractive reports. There are various graphs like scatter plots,
line graph, pie chart, bar graph, broken line graph and picto-graph. They can be drawn as a two
dimensional or three dimensional depending upon requirements (Basturkmen, 2014). These
graphs will help me to present exact information associated with my reports in an enhanced by
which I can get high marks within internal as well as external assessments. This will also assist
me to explain the concept which I want to as it is easy to understand and assess as by visualising
anything it becomes easy to interpret them.
