1. INTRODUCTION
Skills audit refers to analysis of various skills, qualities that are present in particular
individuals thus it helps in finding keys areas in which strength and weakness of individuals lies
so various plans can be made to improve them. There are various skills, knowledge that needs to
be possessed in particular individual in order to get best job opportunities in future. Time
management, team work and note taking are some of the skills that every student learns while
studying at university that helps it in both personal and professional life. Every individual needs
to learn new skills and knowledge during whole lifetime to grow and succeed. This essay has
included skill analysis that has explained about why the skill is important, confident that I feel
about skills and the way I am going to develop skills. While studying at University I have learnt
various skills such as Note taking, time management and team work that are useful in performing
various task in professional career. Therefore, several skills, knowledge that I have gained while
studying in university are explained through skills analysis.
2. Skills Analysis
Note taking skills: While studying I have learnt different method that can be used to makes
notes so that information given by lecture can be learned and gained. Notes need to be short,
simple and brief or understand in single view by individual. Notes taking skills can be defined as
to write important point or key information, main idea and supporting details for better learning
in future circumstances (Osmani, Hindi and Weerakkody, 2018). Yes, it can be stated that note
taking skills is important as students as it contributed in enhancing learning and listening skills of
individual. I feel happy and satisfied with note taking skills as it helps me to understand key or
crucial information of specific topics. I feel confident that it will also help in future to retain
main points for longer period of time so that task can be performed in best possible manner. I
have planned to improve my notes taking skills by actively listening to the information given by
lecturer, avoid distraction and reviewing notes at regular interval.
Time management skills: It is skills that help to use time effective, efficiently and productively
by arranging task in sequence order which needed to be performed first for better outcome. It is
one of the crucial skills which need to be present in each individual as any employer before
hiring employees sees their punctuality or the way they manage time (Vidyullatha, Usha and
Reddy, 2016). Time cannot be bring back so individual must put their best effort to make best
and optimum utilisation of time to learn or grow in life. Yes, off course, I feel confident about

time management skills as it enhance personality of individual, reduce mental stress thus person
can devote its more time and efforts in completion of task. As per my opinion, There are some
method which I have planned to use in order to improve my time management skills such as
making schedule of activities which needed to be performed in particular day, set up deadline in
which I would complete specific task. I have also decided to avoid multitasking activities so
that no confusion can be created in future circumstances and the task can be completed in best
possible way (Karjalainen and Benhaida, 2018).
Team work skills: Team management skills can be termed as capabilities of individual to
coordinate or influence other individual to work as a team rather than individual to complete
task. It is important because candidates that have team work skills are sought by employer on
priority basis because of various reasons such as effective collaboration and leadership style
present in them. Team management skills are crucial because it is required in every industry or
business from food industry to information technology. For good team work candidate need to
have positive attitude, effective communication skills and interpersonal skills which helps in
building strong relationship and better coordination (Collins and et.al., 2016). I currently feel
that by developing team management skills I can became successful leader or entrepreneur in
professional career as have capacity to influence other individual to work in specific manner. It
is one of the useful skills that helps in managing diverse individuals to work together for
common task by putting their respective efforts and time. There are certain key strategies which
I would like to enhance my team managements skills for future benefits like to develop open
communication for better understanding of feeling, view and ideas of various individuals. I will
learn from successful leaders by reading books, articles and searching on Google about them to
know the way they have manage teams to accomplish specific task (Thomas, Morin and Kira,
2017).
3. CONCLUSION
From the above essay it can be concluded that skills analysis was much useful for me as
it helps me to know more about myself. I am able to plans various technique which would I use
in future circumstances to develop or enhance my several skills like time management, team
work and notes taking skills. From the above analysis I have also learned importance of various
skills in personal and professional life so every individual need to think about alternative ways
that can be used to improve them for good fortune. Therefore it can be concluded that the person

that can manage time or complete task within limited time frame can grow and success in very
few years. In order to manage time I have to reduce my stress level my taking break and
interval at several times so that I can work hard, determinate and actively for continuous basis.
At last it can also be stated that I need to work on my other skills that are self organised skills,
academic reading and presentation to have greater success in future professional career.
