MAIN REASONS TO STUDY A DEGREE AT UNIVERSITY
Students choose the university having variety and different reasons. A survey was also
conducted and it has been found there that there were top three reasons for going to
university. The top reason was the students were passionate for their subject, continuous
learning and development comes at the second. There are some other variety of reasons to go
to university and which are a future career, interest in career and social life also (Rudd, 2018).
The first foremost reason for studying at the university to study the particular subject in depth
because University curriculums allow students to select a major. Another main reason to go to
university is the college education that can result a good future in the professional life. In some
of the nations, businesses look for the graduates passed from the university to fill positions that
will have higher pay such as supervisors and managers. Moreover, for the specific professions
that can include lawyers, doctors and teachers, a university degree is at a higher need (Lin,
2018). In addition to this, some universities also provide students with opportunities for
acquiring practical skills that can be used in the real world. As for example, they offer courses in
data processing, accounting, foreign languages and also the internship programs where
students can get experience to work in a company and can learn business skills. So, in short, we
can say that some of the students go in university to get a university degree and practical
abilities and also they can get better employment opportunities in the future. Finally for some
of the students making friends and enjoying social life can be enough reason to stay in school as
they want to meet people from different areas (Elbaz, 2018).
