Executive Summary
This essay discusses the management of global chain of services provide by a health check up
clinic. Under a given situation faced by a professor, this essay throws light on the chief
difficulties that a customer might face while using such customer services. The report concludes
by discussing some ethical issues that involves the refusal of a doctor to refer his patient to the
other services.

Question 1
In this case, the customer is the professor who was a client of Dr. Martin.
Question 2
The supply chain of this health care system begins with the clients who are associated
with the mentioned University. The health care system provides services for the employees of
the University as well as the professors of the said University.
Here Betty, the nurse of the Dr. Martin’s Office and the professor, plays the primary role.
A short but a significant is also played by Hilda, a nurse practitioner at the Health Check Clinic.
Betty, who was arrogant refused to check the professor even after knowing the physical
condition of the Professor, and declined the professor’s request for sending him in the Health
Check Clinic. On the contrary, Hilda is a character who is contradictory to Betty, and took care
of her patient and examined him.
Question 3
The implications for redesigning and improve of the supply chain the Clinic must become
aware of the problems faced by its customers during the unavailability of their primary care
physician. The clinic must provide their clients with alternate services if the preferred doctor is
unavailable at that moment (Christopher 2016). They should refer the patient to their other
physicians who are available at hand instead of just sending them in the emergency unit, which is
costlier than a simple check up.

The ethical issues that might not allow a doctor to refer his patient are primarily the
concern of the service that his client might receive from the other physicians (Dobrzykowski et
al. 2014). They also fear about the satisfaction of their customers and also take care of their
financial charges that might be imposed on them.
