Executive summary
It has been analysed in this report that music festivals consists of various activities
through which organisers become able to make it more attractive and effective in the market. It
has also been evaluated that there are various instruments used in the festival in order to carry
out the festival. In this report, there has been discussion on the various perspective that should be
considered by the organisers while carrying out the music festivals. Various kinds of issues has
been analysed in this report that are social, environmental and mental issues. At the end stage of
the report, recommendation has been analysed in order to eliminate these issues.

INTRODUCTION
Music festival can be defined as the various kinds of performances that is inspired by a
specific theme. There are various kinds of music that can be performed in the events such as
national music, folk music etc. Music festival is an event that can executed perfectly with the
help of different kinds of instruments. These instrument can be guitar, piano, drum etc. It
enhances the quality of the music which makes the events more attractive. It can be defined as
the community event that is executed in order to promote the music of a specific place. There are
various kinds of notes through which music can be presented that are as rock, classical, folk etc.
Music festivals are generally executed outdoors in which various kinds of stage performances are
given by the performers (Healey and et.al., 2022). This festival attracts large number of people
towards it because people from different backgrounds gives performances. When these festivals
are organised by the event mangers or particular group, it is very important for them to consider
various factors through which they should not put negative impact on the society. In order to
execute the music festival in the community there are various stakeholder involves in it who
makes it more successful. Main stakeholder in the music festivals are the organisers who have
high power as well as high interest in the activities of the festival. Another stakeholder that can
be considered for executing music festivals are the visitors because they help them to generate
revenues by organising music festivals in the community. In this report, there will be the
discussion on the various perspectives in that should be consider while launching music festivals
in the community. Perspective of the social. Environmental and health impacts will be
undertaken into the account. At the last stage of the report, recommendation will be undertaken
in order to overcome the challenges that can be faced due to these perspectives. One of the main
aim of this report is to minimise the impacts of music festivals on the society, environment and
health.
TASK 1
Social impacts
It is one of the major perspective that the event organisers of the music festivals should
consider in order to make the festival effective and attractive. Social impacts consists of various

factors that should be considered because it can lead to the negative impact on the society.
Organising music festivals is very challenging for the organisers as it includes many activities
with it that can harm the aspect of the society (Anderton, 2018). Festival organisers should
consider this factor very closely as this can impact the image of the music event companies in a
negative manner. Some of the major issues that can be created in regards to the society are as
follows:
 Impact on local residents: It is one of the major impact that can be caused by organising
a music festivals in the community. Music festival includes various kinds of performance
with it and it directly creates a problem of the noise pollution in the society. Generally
these types of the music festivals are organised in the community and it can directly
bother the local people of the place as it produces so much noise. People who are
suffering from any kind of noise related problems can find it so difficult in order to
handle that situation because it can creates so much difficulties for them. While music
festivals organisers execute events they should focus on this problem as this can creates
so much challenges for the local people of the place (Ruane, 2018). Usually it can be seen
that these types of music festivals or events can cause so much crowd on the roads. It
causes overcrowding at the place of the event and also on the roads. It can comes out to
be the biggest impact that music festival can put because it can results in the accidents
and various wrong activities that are harmful for the society. It becomes very difficult for
the local people of the place to drive on those roads. These can cause serious accidents on
the roads and for that purpose, organisers of the events should make proper system
through which they can control this. It can be most challenging for the society and the
people because these music festivals creates chaotic situations at the roads.
 Cultural Impacts: It can be the other impact of these music festival that can cause
problems for the society. As various kinds of people are involved in the festivals and
sometimes values of the particular culture is enhanced which create difference in the
mindset of the people in the community (Mackuľak and et.al., 2019). It is one of the main
impact that can be produced by the music festivals in the community. It can create
difference in the values of the various culture which can result in the situations of the
conflicts.

 Crimes: When these festivals are organised in the community, it creates so much
overcrowding at the specific place. Sometimes it directly leads to the crimes because
some people came with the aim of the doing crimes in the community. They do unethical
actions such as stealing, snatching , fighting etc. It can greatly put an negative impact on
the values of the society.
Environmental perspective
It is the another perspective that festival organisers should consider as it can degrade the
quality of the environment. Execution of music festivals requires lots of activities that makes the
festival successful in the community. In order to make this festival more effective and attractive
organisers sometimes uses natural resources in a excess manner through which they can harm the
nature and environmental aspects. These impact can put so much problem for the people of the
local place. Some of the major impact that can be caused by the festivals in regards to the
environmental factors are:
 Impact of carbon footprints: It is one of the major impact that is caused while
executing the music festivals in the community. When organisers launches music
festivals in the community, they have to use various machines and techniques that
produces harmful gases in the environment (Johnson, Stansfield and Hassan, 2020).
Carbon emission is one of the biggest problems and the impact that the environment has
to bear. As organisers have to arrange generators and all other machined in order to
carrying out the music festivals. Almost everything works on the electricity like
instruments, AC, etc. It causes pollution in the air and produces gases like carbon and
methane which decreases the quality of the air. It majorly affects the people of the society
that are suffering from asthma or breathing related problems. It comes out to be the
biggest impacts the environment and degrades the quality of it.
 Impact on construction and hosting festival: It is the another main reasons that can put
negative impact on the environment. When organisers execute music festivals in the
community they should consider the factor of the environment. While executing the
music festivals in the community they have to put tents in the specific areas and it
directly puts negative impact on the soil because it greatly damage to grass and which
causes soil erosion. Another main element that puts an negative impact on the
environment is that it invites lots of people towards the music festival and it overcrowds

the place where the festival takes place. This causes so much wastage in that place
because people in the crowded place generally throw waste material at that place. It
directly leads to increase in the wastage that can causes serious diseases to the local
people of the place. Sometimes in order to execute music festivals in the community
there is a needs of carrying out construction work. For that reason it can puts an negative
impact on the environment (Werner, Griese and Faatz, 2019). As it requires so many
natural resources in order to carry out the construction work. It puts so much impact on
the quality of the environment.
The health impacts
It is the another impact that is caused by the organising of the music festivals in the
community. There are various issues can be arises in regards to the health of the people. As
music festivals involves various activities that can cause harm to the health of the people. Some
of the impacts that can be cause by the music festivals are mentioned below:
 Public health issues: It is one of the main issue that can be seen which is caused by the
execution of the festivals. There is so much loud noise of the songs in the festival that can
cause harm to the ears of the people (Anderton, 2019). Generally alcohol is serves in
these types of festivals and people sometimes gets so much drunk which causes so much
impact on their lever. It can creates so much problem for the local people of the place.
Another main issue that can be caused to the public is the outbreak of the communicable
diseases. Musical events generally gathers lots of people that automatically converts into
the crowd. It can make people weak as they can caught under some communicable
diseases. It is one of the main issue that is caused by the music festivals.
 Health and safety issues: It is the another issue that is caused by the music festivals that
are organised by the organisers in the community. There is so much risk of overcrowding
which can creates safety issues at the place of the festival (Turris and et.al., 2019). It
becomes very difficult for the organisers to control the people at the festival which can
lead to the safety issues. There is a need of assembling of the vehicles that can bring
people to the music festivals from far places. So in this case sometimes possibility of the
accidents increases and which becomes the issue of the health and safety.
 Mental health issues: It is the another issues that can be caused by the Music festivals.
Sometimes loud music voice puts an impact on the mental health of the people. On the

other hand it also put positive impact on the mental health of the people because these
festivals helps them to heal their bad mood so that they can feel more energetic towards
their work.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been analysed that music festivals needs consists various
kinds of activities that needs to be performed in a effective manner. It has been evaluated that
there are various types of music that are performed in the music festivals. It has also been seen
that these festivals are generally held in the community and these can be made more attractive by
the help of the various instruments. These helps them to attract large number of people towards
the particular music festivals that organisers of organises in the community. In the above report,
it has been also evaluated that there are various perspective that should be undertaken by the
organisers in order to make the festival effective. Social perspective has been analysed which
create so much negative impact on the society. Along with that impacts on the environment has
also been undertaken into the account. It has been evaluated that there are various activities
involved in the music festivals that can put negative impact on the environment. After that
various impacts on the health has been evaluated. It can be seen that it is one of the major impact
that is caused by the music festivals. At the last stage of the report, various recommendation has
been undertaken in order to overcome these impacts.
Recommendation
There are various recommendation that can be undertaken by the organisers of the event
through which they can minimise the impact of the above issues. It is very important for the
organisers to consider various perspectives so that they can become able to launch music
festivals in a effective manner. There are some points that should be undertaken in order to
minimise the impact are as follows:
 Organisers while carrying out the activity of the festivals should keep in mind that there
should not be overcrowding at the place of the festivals (Turner and Measham, 2019).
They should take measure in order to control the noise pollution in the society. As they
can execute the music festivals in the indoors so that problem of the noise pollution can
be eliminated in the community.

 They can also take safety measures so that crime activities can be minimised at the
festivals. It is one of the major point that the organiser should consider while executing
music festivals in the community. Because it can be seen that where there I overcrowding
of the people there are a lot of crime happens. It is very important for the organisers to
control the level of the crime.
 Organisers of the music events should also take care of the environmental aspects.
Because in order to carry out the activities of the festival, there are various kinds of
resources are required so that they can execute it into the community. They should use
healthy ways of electricity such as solar panels through which they can decrease the
carbon emission going into the environment. It majorly pollutes the quality of the
environment which is very dangerous for the local people of the place (Fileborn, Wadds
and Tomsen, 2020). It is very important for them to consider this factor effectively so that
they can maintain the quality of the nature.
