The report is about an institution’s impact on climate change in environment. This report consists
of the three articles discussed on which the brief summary is given in the context to the climate
change issue. There are some advantages and disadvantages served about the three alternatives
explained in deep, this will be offering a wide concept of adopting the measure will either be
suitable for the institute or not. There is an analysis on the basis of pros and cons of the three
measures then only one solution is acquired which is to be recommended by the company for the
use in their operations. The solution identifies some ways in which it is suitable for the help in

INTRODUCTION
The communication skills are the capability of a human to share their thoughts and ideas in
an effective manner. This helps in understanding the level of the listening, speaking, observing
and empathy skills of an individual. UoNL is a partner university of University of Northampton
which educated the undergraduates in an enhanced manner, it is based in London, England
(Leonard, 2019). This report describes about the issue given in the scenario that is how UoNL
can decrease their effectiveness on climate change and the alternatives given are investment in
solar panels to decrease the use of electricity. Secondly, they can opt for being paperless by
advancing their technology, making their education and management to be in a digital mode. In
the third measure they can utilize their funds in E-Bike scheme for the travel of their staff and
students. The university must adopt one solution for funding a small amount so that they can
improve the environment of their university. These all three alternatives are explained in brief,
then at last of the report one solution is chosen which is recommended for the university to opt
and execute for minimizing their environmental disruption by the change of climate.

Advantages of Solar Energy on the Environment
This article justifies about the ways in which solar panels are used to decrease the energy
costs implemented in the houses. They can use a powered generated from the roof by heat of
sunlight then the consumers can use this energy for hundreds of years which can help them to be
reliant in a least form. The solar power is a sustainable and green energy which will advantage
them in avoiding the electricity bills. This will help in specific ways such as in less usage of
water. The water is a vital natural resource (Newson and L. Sloman, 2019). The traditional
electricity manufacturing is capable to use thousands of litres was which is used in processing,
cooling generators, transporting fuel through pipes and refining fuels. Whereas, the solar power
doesn’t use water to make electricity. Secondly, it also advantages in decreasing air pollution as
sometimes there is a need to use fossil fuels which produces harmful carbon dioxide as well as
methane gases which decreases the quality of air in atmosphere. This can dis effect our health by
breathing the poor air. Air pollution can cause serious problems like asthma, bronchitis,
pneumonia, anxiety, headaches, cancers, allergies and heart attacks. The sun not generate the
harmful emissions as fossil fuels generated into the air are less toxic for the health of living

beings. The third benefit is that it will decrease the reliance on fossil fuels as the solar energy is
tremendous as well as harnessing the whole sunlight which is free for us so we can use plenty of
it in quantity. But the fossil fuels are depleting very rapidly. We need to be relied on the sunlight
rather than fossil fuels as it is a free source for us, sunlight is a low energy price that can
decrease the amount of greenhouse gas emissions which will give us a strong and stable energy
in future (ZEN Energy, 2020).
The case for a UK incentive for E-Bikes
The UK government has started an initiative scheme for motivating some organisations to
convey their members for using an E-Bike. The organisations and institutes like universities have
to put their funds for contributing in this scheme according to the investment done by
government. The workers and students can buy the bike by paying 90% on the model’s cost. This
will advantage the user as they will save by contributing to the scheme. They can more
compatible in long rides than the conventional bikes. It has a potential to decrease the carbon
emissions which will not affect the climate change. This will save their time, money and
transport for their staffs and students (Pandya, Singh and Sharma, 2022). An analysis of e-bike
schemes in different countries has found that the e-bikes have been replacing the car journeys by
40-60%. The 40% of the individuals have been getting a grant for purchasing e-bike so as to
decrease their car use in shopping, travel and commuting. This will help the climate change issue
to be solved as this will reduce the pollution level from the atmosphere. But the E-Bikes are not
suitable for everyone and thy should have a specific fitness level to use it safely. Some people
can’t be able to make journeys if they want to commute between cities. Therefore, there is a
believe that the E-Bike incentive scheme can motivate the staff and students to use transport less
so that they can make a healthy environment, save their money and be fit (Panebianco, 2022).
Advantages and disadvantages of a paperless office
There are many advantages of going paperless which will affect the environment and reduce the
changes in climate. As the trees are used in making paper so the trees are needed to be cut. The
method involves use od lot of water and chemicals which harms the environment. There are
many risks taken by the institutes for the quantity to be stored in digital space and on what extent
they should use the traditional methods for using paper. It helps in saving the costs as the
information is stores digitally which can be on computer drives, flash drives, cloud-based
systems that are cheaper in comparative to printing (Quinta-Novaand Ferreira, 2022). The

university has to keep the paper archived inn their storage units. They can shift to the digital
storage instead which will save their energy, paper and money. The stakeholders have to handle
information on a device which makes them fast and efficient in operating transitions. Some
students who are suffering from eye conditions or disabilities need to adopt the traditional
method instead as the screens can disadvantage their eyes. But on the other side the people are
easily and conveniently handling their work in a flexible manner (Hagenb and et. al., 2022).
Recommendation for UoNL to adopt one solution among the three
UNol should invest on bringing solar panels for electricity usage in their institute, as they
use so much of electricity in their operations. The solar panel will help them to reduce their
future costs in electricity which concludes on their own profit in their investment (Siptits,
Romanenko and Evdokimova, 2022). The will not getting electricity bills as well as this will help
in impact to the climate changes as the generation of solar energy uses less water. They can clean
their panels from the rainwater so this will help them to make a sustainable move towards the
environmental protection. The solar photovoltaic cells do not need water for making electricity,
the natural environment will have a decreased strain on the vital resource on Earth. The process
doesn’t involve cooling generators, refining fuels, transporting fuel through pipes and processing
(Biao, Yunting and Shuang, 2022). The solar panels will help the environment in decreasing the
level of emissions in the air which is produced by the fossil fuels like carbon di oxide and
methane gases. The institute should have to be less dependent on the fossil fuels as they can
produce electricity from solar panels which are a cheap source for them. They will not waste
their money, resource and water in the use of solar energy. The energy is generated efficiently
from the sunlight which is unlimited and easily affordable. Therefore, they have to replace them
after a certain period of time as they can’t be used for forever in their course of action. This will
help them to decrease the greenhouse gases which will enhance the air quality as the people
don’t have to breathe the toxics from the air. There are many advantages served on the terms of
solar energy which will help in the carbon footprint of the institute (Sadhukhan, Chakraborty and
Mukherjee, 2022).

CONCLUSION
This report about the issue faced by the institute named UNoL, which is facing an issue over
the climate change in their environment that has a conclusion that they should adopt the use of
solar panel so as to replace the solar energy in generating the electricity in the place of getting
electric bills. They can contribute in the protecting the environment by adopting the measures of
sonal energy which will help them in reducing the air pollution as they are not using fossil fuels
which produced so much of harmful gases that are carbon dioxide and methane. They can also
save their money and resources. This is the best suitable way for the institute as this will make
them to rely on sunlight rather than fossil fuels. They will reduce greenhouse gases from the
environment which is harms the environment of Earth. Therefore, they can save the water as well
as improve the quality of air. The people suffering from headache, anxiety, pneumonia,
bronchitis, allergies, asthma and even cancers will be relived from as the air pollution will be
decreased by this measure.
