Every day the impact of climate change is increasing in the environment which
becomes necessary to reduce. For that purpose, the organisation is required to support which
have a main into improving environmental impact. This is the reason that UoNL is focusing
on supporting any initiative but they have a small number of fonts and that's why they need to
evaluate each option so that they will be able to get solutions. In order to choose one possible

INTRODUCTION
This essay aims to evaluate each possible option for the purpose of reducing the
negative impact of climate change on the environment. For that purpose, UoNL is focusing
on taking any initiative which has a main into improving environmental impact but they do
have not as much funding as they have a small amount of funding. This is the main reason
that they are focusing on covering the expenses of only one initiative. This essay includes

As per this article, it is suggested to the university that this should focus on installing
the solar panels on their roof as it helps to reduce the energy cost. It is also identified that
every day the use of solar panels is increasing everywhere and it becomes a trend also. This
option is found very well because consumers are able to save hundreds each year according
to the survey and they also become less reliant on the power grid. This is the main reason that
solar power becomes the most sustainable and green energy. It is identified that solar energy
is not only helping to reduce electricity bills but also provides many important benefits to the
planet which include using less water, reducing air pollution, and reducing the reliance on
fossil fuels. These are the important benefits which found very sound. But one thing which is
not forgotten by universities is their expense. It is identified that solar panels are very costly
and this is the main reason that maybe university is not able to choose this option. It becomes
necessary for the university to think about that. University has a small amount they are not
able to expense too much on the initiative.

In the case of the second option, the government in the United Kingdom has
introduced e bike incentive scheme. This scheme is designed for the purpose of encouraging
organisational members they should buy e-bikes. The government has provided some
investment but they want that institutions like universities and other companies use their own
funds in order to start this option. There are many benefits found in which it includes that the
person who uses e-bikes for a long journey that's a significant benefit as it reduces the carbon
emission from transport and also able to save the money for commuters. In addition to this, it
will also help to reduce the community cost which increases the saving on gym membership
fees. According to the survey, it is identified that sales of e-bikes in the Netherland and
Belgium are comparatively 20 times greater with Britain as they understand the importance
of e-bikes and that's why they raised awareness of this option. There are some disadvantages
as well. It is not necessary that e-bikes a suited to each and every person. In addition, today it
is also identified that e-bikes are not an idol for all types of journey people. It encourages
people to reduce the use of transport and protect the environment. In addition to this, the staff
in students require to invest their own money approximate 90% of the overall cost so it
becomes very expensive.

The third option which is suggested to the university is to go paperless office. In the
digital world, it is identified that every large organisation and institution are focusing on
finding another solution to streamline work. This is the reason that they are focusing on going
paperless which provides many advantages to the institution as well as the environment.
Reduces the use of paper and is also able to reduce the environmental impact. It becomes
necessary for the institutions they should keep the focus on reducing the cutting of trees
which can be only possible with the help of paperless offices. As it is found that the process

of making paper requires a very large amount of water as well as trees with the use of many
different chemicals. It provides damage to the environment. In addition to this, it is also
identified that there are many risks found in the production of paper. If institutions rely on
traditional paper methods then they are not able to accept future adaptations. There are many
advantages identified which include significant cost savings. It is identified that if never city
is storing their data in a digital form then they are able to reduce the use of paper which
becomes cheaper than printing and storing. It is also helpful in removing the cost of
shredding services. This is the reason that there are many large organisations founds which
devoted to arching paper that require entire rooms and storage units. It really becomes
difficult for the university and other institutions to store the data for many years. With the
help of people in the office, they are able to eliminate all the negative impacts and also able
to save space, money, paper and energy. One more advantage of people fewer offices are
found in the mobile workforce. It becomes very easy for colleagues and any individual to
spend a day working from home because of reducing the paperwork as they get all the
information very quickly and easily because of digital storage. But still, there are some
disadvantages which include the stakeholder habits and hardware or software issues.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded from the above dispersion that reducing climate change impact
becomes very important. This is the reason that every organisation whether it is connected
from anywhere requires to take an initiative in order to reduce the negative impact of climate
change on the environment. In this respect, it is analysed that University took an initiative for
the purpose of reducing the negative impact. They analysed three important possible
solutions but because of lack of funds, they have only the choice to use one option. It is
analysed that in the first option universities get the suggestion that they need to use solar
panels. In the second option, they get an opportunity to make an investment in e-bikes for
staff and students and in the last option they are required to go paperless. These are the
possible options which analysed and evaluated by the university in an effective way. For the
analysis purpose, University considers its strengths and weaknesses so that they are able to
take the right decision among the options.
Recommendations
From the evaluation of each option, it becomes necessary for the university to take the
right decision that which initiative they need to adopt. So University took the initiative of the

paperless office. This option is suitable for them and according to the situation they are able
to take this initiative. The reasons are mentioned below that why this option is chosen:
 It is identified that people in office required fewer phones and universities have a
small amount of funding.
 It is also identified that the university found disadvantages which can be easily sorted
by University such as stakeholder habits and hardware or software issues. They can
encourage the stakeholders for changing their mind-set. They will also be able to
solve the issue of hardware or software.
There are some reasons are mentioned below that why the other two options are not
recommended to the university:
 The first option is for the solar panel to be very sound and definitely provide an
immediate impact on the environment. But it is found that they require a heavy
amount on installing solar panels because they are very expensive. The University has
not had as many funds and this is the reason that this option is not recommended.
 The second option which is not recommended to the university is introducing the use
of e-bikes. This option is found to be effective but it is also very expensive. In this
option, it is identified that staff members and other people such as students need to
invest their own money approximate 90% of the overall cost which is practically not
possible. It is identified that e-bikes are not suitable for long journeys. In addition to
this, it is also identified that e-bikes are comparatively more expensive than traditional
bikes. So this is the main reason that this option is also not recommended to the
university.
