The aim of this paper is to discuss the curricular and co-curricular experiences that I had
while studying in the University of Phoenix. The university has offered with different types of
subjects to be chosen by the students before admission. This serves to be the right place for the
business students as this campus serves them the best in all inclusive manner.
Like others, I also have some short term and long term objectives in life. Through the
coursework ad curriculum I have found the way to excel in my life and entered the right path for
achieving n both my short-term along with long term goals. Within the next three years I aim to
get placed in a reputed company matching my skills where I will be learning all the operation of
the business in every bit. The learning process and curriculum in the university are supportive of
finding put my own capabilities. There are several methods and tools applied in order to find out
the abilities, personality, talents and experiences learning I possess on the basis of which the
mentors have offered me curriculums so that I can achieve my short term goal in every possible
way. In addition to his, I also possess the capability of being an entrepreneur by myself. I aim to
start my own business within next ten years because try them I will have ample knowledge about
the theoretical aspects of the business though the coursework and all the learning materials I
have already completed reading or I will be completing by then. Similarly I will have in hand
experience of working in the industry of my choice, there I will have practical experience of
problem solving, team work, decision making and many more. Therefore, this particular course
program has an important role to play in achieving both of my short team as well as log term
goals.
The course learning materials, tests and other methods of learning are so advanced and
scientifically designed which has helped me to go in depth in the subject. I have faced difficulties
of various types and my curiosity engaged me in questioning my mentors day after day. Through

the curriculum I have got most of the answers which has developed me in such a way that I can
use my knowledge in every way possible in terms of business operations. The overall university
experience is unmatchable for an average student like me and the all of the support that the
university has given me in terms of academic as well as personal would not have been found
anywhere else.
The facilities that the course in the University of Phoenix has offered to the student
includes online materials, learning process, flexible timing and facilities of different campus in
locality. The University takes the connection among the students in such a way that makes the
students highly connected to one another in spite of being located in different places. I had
chosen this particular program for me thinking it to be appropriate. This is due to the fact that I
work as a sterile processing manager at a very busy trauma center. There I have developed the
knowledge of quality sterile processing. I have entered the sterile processing teaching business
through Sterile Processing Training center where I have learnt the sterile roves through proper
practices, consulting, training and staffing. Here I have my associates in business administration.
In this case, I wanted to get the scope of studying in such a university that would provide me the
opportunity to carry on my job as well as the degree that I want for my long term goal
achievement.
In this campus I have found the fact that the course work, curricular and co-curricular
experiences are very job centric. Here I have found that the planners understand what exactly the
students in this competitive world of business actually want and how they will develop their
practical knowledge of problem solving and decision making when they will be places in a
particular industry. The job centric approach eliminates any scope of confusion among the
students and the mentors and the program includes all types of confusion clearing opportunities

so that the knowledge that we students are getting from this university have no scope for
question.
For meeting the demands of the students regarding the understanding of the course
program, there are awesome reading materials provided by the university is that the student can
access them anytime and anywhere. The in depth knowledge of the subject are developed though
the online materials available in the university libraries which I could go through even when I get
free time between works. The hands on experience that has been provided by this program are all
associated with the identification of the problems by analyzing different aspects of the business
and finding solution of those issues within a very limited time.
The curriculum made for us include everything needed for theoretical and practical
knowledge and guided the students like me to gain in depth knowledge about the business
operations. The curriculum that this particular program has developed is related to the
professional development of the students which include the content focus study, active learning
process, supporting collaboration in developing the assignments and group work for any type of
practical classes problems solving and active decision making. The curriculum that the university
program had followed are all associated with the eliminating any confusion and misconception
of the students in learning the engagements of the students here developed by providing coaching
as well as expert support.
Through the program I have engaged in the coursework so effectively that I have
developed perfect understanding of the need for continuing education. This has enabled me to
get a skill based training and improve the job performance. This is seen in my job while I was
performing as a manager in the sterile processing department. For any type of management some

of the factors are common yet essential and this particular course has given me the scope to
bridge those particular gap that I lacked previously and develop those skills in such a way that
there is no question of incapability. This due to the fact that the university curriculum is created
in such a way that includes tests for personal assessment and focus upon the process of acquiring
professional skills in an effective way.
Throughout the process of learning in this particular course I have to found difficulty
because we all were given doubt clearing classes so that the difficult chapters could be analyzed
in detail. Here the teachers assigned us the course works and assignments which we needed to be
done within the specifics time. This has prevented me to be procrastinating and solved the
problem of my time management incapability.
There are some very specific aspects hat the program has effectively developed in me that
is the ethical decision making process, team work and leadership style. I have been already
associated with an organization as a manager but the skills that the management level employees
need mandatorily were mot present within me. Now the course has pointed out some very
important theories of ethical decision making process the requirement of the business
originations to lay fairly in meeting the needs of the clients in one hand and compete in the
highly concentrated market on the other. There have been numerous theories and models which
has clarified my doubts regarding the decision making process and convinced me that as a
manger I need to perform ethically all the time.
In addition to this, the theories and models were supported by numerous case studies. The
curriculum included various incidents which actually took place and showed how the leaders of
any industry will be protecting as well as respecting the rights and morals for impacting in the

ethical decision making. Here the right approach that the leaders in any corporation must take
has been detailed with evidences so that the company operates more for the common good of the
people rather than meeting their own demands of profit making.
These are the reasons why I would like to recommend this course to the others. I have
developed the understanding the expectation of the organizations in detail and providing those to
the stakeholders as a manager. The program has given me the scope with flexible schedule,
online programs and creates the interactive environments so that the students like us can open
ourselves effectively and communicate with the people around me. The informative articles in
the library are supportive of the learning for the working students like me. In addition to the
learning different theories and concepts, the mentors had made us understand the factors relating
to manage out finance and human resource management in the company along with performing
out job focusing our working areas. The university resources include the 1 to 1 tutoring,
networking, computer labs and online classroom tutorials, where we have learnt about the factors
affecting the business operations.
More importantly the course of the program in the University of Phoenix has given me all
the scope to enjoy my life balancing study and job. The knowledge I have developed through this
course are all inclusive where the mentors have made me capable to learn from everything in this
life. The learning process can enrich me even through my hobbies like travelling, casino gaming,
online gaming, and sports. These interests are well connected with my study where I came to
know about the process of team work, unity, integrity, performing during the pressure situation
and analysis of the strategies before decision making have been pointed out effectively.
Therefore it am be said that the knowledge about business pertains that I have developed through
this particular course are all connected to the real life evidences. I have achieved the objectives

but the program needs to have a 24/7 mentoring facility so that the online students like us can
access them all the time we need them.
Finally it can be stated that the coursework has given me scope to develop the idea of
personal capabilities and the aspects like lack. The theoretical knowledge and practical evidences
have made this coursework to be highly efficient to reach the students’ understanding. The
online learning program has proved itself effective for the working students like us. The overall
university experience is unmatchable for an average student like me and the all of the support
that the university has given me in terms of academic as well as personal would not have been
found anywhere else.
