In my attempt to understand the concepts of constructability and
buildability, I first looked into its definition, in order to be well
conversant with the idea. I then proceeded to the historical
background of the concept where I learnt of the various principles,
as constituted by several bodies such as BPRC, CIIA and CARI
including the existing variations. This offered me a great
opportunity in terms of expanding and redefining the various
principles to assist the company through the handbook.

In my journey towards comprehending the application of
constructability principles in the product life cycle, I began by
looking into the concepts to the influence of cost and change,
where through the product life cycle, I understood that each stage
is significant, and thus the principles should be applied effectively.
This knowledge significantly assisted me in reproducing the
handbook as seen in my proposed section, where every proposal
was investigated through the project life cycle.
