Question 1
One of the key strengths of the company is with regards to the huge market size owing to
which garnering only a small market share would result in sizable revenues running into
millions of dollars. Another strength for the business is the strong entry barriers owing to the
technological barrier coupled with capital and regulatory barriers which imply that there are
limited players in the nuclear market. This augers well for the business as once the entry is
made and necessary regulatory approvals are obtained, the business can generate significant
returns. Yet another strength for the company is the experience and technical expertise of the
management considering that the product has been developed from scratch by the founders
only and have superior knowledge about the product and the underlying market.
One of the key weaknesses of the company is that the business model is highly capital
intensive considering the high amount of investment that would be required for generation of
revenues. As a result, two associated problems tend to arise. One issue is that the returns are
adversely impacted and also the profit margins for the business are low. Another issue is the
need to constantly raise more funds which would require dilution of equity and hence the
founders might lose control which may cause the company to lose the strategic vision
envisaged by the founders. Another weakness for the business is with regards to the
functional expertise of the management considering the fact that all the founders tend to come
with similar skillsets and educational background. As a result, the skills regarding business
aspects are missing and also previous experience with regards to running a business is
lacking.

Question 2
Y combinator played a crucial role in aiding the development of the entrepreneurial venture.
Firstly, it provided a platform in the form of Demo Day where the entrepreneurs could make
a pitch to the various investors and not only inform them about the product and business but
also their vision and the broad impact of their product on the environment. This was typically
lacking in the earlier Silicon Valley based investors that the founders were meeting.
Secondly, it helps the founders in building networks and thereby gain a lot of positive advice
and suggestions with regards to moving forward the business and improving the product.
A typical example in this regards would be the head Altman who quite welcomed the
founders and provided them with sound advice regarding their business. Thirdly, Y
combinator helped the founders in understanding that only raising capital is not important but
raising from the right partners who tend to share the vision of founders is critical. Also, Y
combinatory enabled the business in attracting such set of investors from which the company
was able to raise capital and thus laid a foundation for success.
