INTRODUCTION
In any organization employees and the other staff members play a crucial role as without
their contribution no enterprise can achieve success in long run. This way recruitment and
selection becomes one of the most important process as this ensure quality of work force at any
commercial unit. Working with different individuals and leading same becomes difficult as
people are from different backgrounds and has distinct expectations from the place they are
working with (Bush and Middlewood, 2013). UPS is a known brand in parcel industry which is
managing to deliver products in different part of the world. The following report will talk about
how the management of same enterprise should manage its work force so that turnovers can be
minimized. The impact of legal considerations will also be discussed which will show how they
have a direct influence on the recruitment and selection process of UPS.

No organization can operate freely as their operations are bound with the current legal
factors which has their direct influence. While conducting the recruitment and selection process
the management has to ensure that they do not go against the ethical, legal and regulations that
are designed against the same by law. There are a number of laws that need to be considered by
the organizations selection panel such as:
Employment act – It regulates the relationship maintained between employee and
employer. Expectations of employers are governed under this act along with the rights of
different individuals so that work is carried out in an effective manner.
Discrimination act – While selecting the candidate it is required that management does not
get involved in any partial acts as this may lead to a legal action against the selection panel. It
has to be ensured that equal platforms are provided to all so that fair judgment is made.
Health and safety act - This is another act which ensures safety of work force while they
are working with a particular brand. Administration of UPS has to make required arrangements
so that accidents are minimized and also needs to provide effective training to the employees if
any risky resources is being utilized to carry out the operations(Lev,2013).
