INTRODUCTION
Urban parks are also called municipal or open public parks, combined sites which
provide recreational and green space to residents and city government visitors. The government
officials generally design, operate, and maintain urban parks at local level, but sometimes they
may be given to nature reserves, group friends or private enterprises. Municipal parks have some
common features having playing areas, gardens, sports fields, toilets, watersheds and picnics,
depending on the nature and surroundings of the parks (Ayala-Azcárraga, Diaz and Zambrano,
2019). Urban Parks and green spaces can provide several advantages for improving mental
health, offering green spaces, open space for children to play, and giving wildlife advantages.
Urban Parks and green spaces can also contribute to removing of inequalities by building trust
and respect between the people visiting the parks. They also deliver good health opportunities in
poor regions. The major challenge can be increase in urbanisation which is affecting in the
reduction of lands. The budgetary constraint & misappropriation of cost benefit analysis can also
pose a problem as financial issues can affect the quality of parks (Jennings and Bamkole, 2019).
Take for an example, if an urban park is being constructed in a locality, it can create inter
personal relations between the people as everyone has a right to use it and it will lead to mutual
understanding. But on the other hand, if there would be no green spaces in a locality it will lead
to rise in temperature at that place and also will create major health impacts due to pollution
(Vieira and et. al., 2018). The main aim of making this report is to understand the need and
importance of urban parks through analysing: Economic Perspective that to how will lead to
employment, developing new businesses etc. how the Social perspective impacts on the
community as a whole and environmental perspective to how will it help in achieving
sustainability.
MAIN BODY
Impact of an Urban Park
The local council has to decide to build a new urban park and there is various impact with
the different perspective its impact on the economic, health, tourism, hospitality and event
industries with the perspective of environmental and social there are various impact are as follow

1. The Economic Impact
To build an urban park it mainly impact to economies in the changing environment the
urban park is required. To addressing the public health issue is very essential to think about the
urban infrastructure and many of the business invested to build an urban park for the local people
and also for their employee of the organization (Vieira, J., and et.al.,). It improves our country
infrastructure also minimize the health cost and encourage active lifestyle of the public. Urban is
very important it’s clean the air in the environment and by that public health is improve.
1 Job creation (Both long and short term)
It create more opportunity for the various people for the longer term as well as shorter
term more of the people have a poor knowledge and low skill and this type of the people belongs
to very poor family. To build an urban park is create more and more opportunity so they
contribute something towards the economy it create short term job in relation to build the an
urban park. Park is more attract to business and residents it increase the revenue for the cities and
create more job for the people (Jamaludin, and Karjoko, 2019). The role of the worker is not only
related to construction but also do other work form development to maintenance of the park it
include private garden, sports complexes, woodland, daily provide water to street trees, garden
roof , planting new tress, square planting. To the shorter period of the time is create job in
relation to the construction of the urban parks and also it create job opportunity for the longer
period by related to maintains of the park because only build the park is not enough take of the
park and plants are very essential. If the more job and opportunity is created so it directly
positive impact the economy it helps in minimize the unemployment and many of the big
business build the urban park to fulfil their corporate social responsibility.
2. Cost to the taxpayer of building the park
Mainly the cost arises to building the park is construction, design, development,
acquisition and maintains many of the business and also the government construct an urban park.
To build a park the taxpayer cost is reducing also the government provide subsidy in the tax. To
contribute something towards the economy is very beneficial for the taxpayer it not only provide
subsidy in tax but also encourage the people to invest for the economy so through that economy
infrastructure is improved and many of the people and business come ahead in the contribution
of the economy, Whatever cost is arise from the construction of the park the government repay it
or provide subsidy in taxes.

3. Attraction of new business to the area
To build an urban park is create more opportunity for the new business in the particular
area when the any urban park construct so many people come daily by that new business is grab
the attraction and this business are done by the small skill worker with the small fund this small
business improve the unemployment of the country . To construct a park it increases the value of
the nearby property of the particular area.
2. An environmental perspective
The economic impact from an environmental perspective the urban park much contribute
towards the environment because the more and more urban park is construct in the every
particular so produce good or fresh oxygen for the people it control the environment pollution
and maintain sustainability (Rigolon, Browning, and Jennings, 2018).
1. Pollution
Planting the more tress helps in reducing the environment pollution so to build the urban
park is reduce the air pollution, water and noise pollution. In the urban city there have the no
fresh air taken by the people there have many industries that reduce the air quality also the
vehicle produce air pollution if the air quality is not good so many of the suffer from the new
disease for the prevention of the air pollution urban park is necessary. In the perspective of
environmental the water quality is bad day by day also the level of the underground water is
reduce so if the more plant grow and restore the water minimize this problem. In the urban area
lot of vehicle run everywhere and on the festival creates lots of noise pollution and it is not good
for the human being and our environment so if the urban park is constructing so people go there
and fell relax because everyone require quality time for our body. Sustainability is also important
for the health care
2. Sustainability
The impact from the perspective of the environment is the maintaining sustainability is
very important in the today’s environment so that we something save or give to our future
generation so to educate the society for the environment sustainability so that they understand
natural resources value. Sustainability is important to improve our life quality and also for good
health to educate the community about the environmental quality to live a healthy life we need a
natural resources, clean air, and pollution free environment. Sustainability is also important for
the health care they both are related to each other our environment quality directly affect to our

heath if environment is not good so heath is automatically decline for the better healthy life we
have to save our environment because health is everything for every person (Mäntymaa, E., and
et.al., 2021). If the water quality is not good is it affect to heath system many of people suffer
from the various disease so save our natural resources is our duty in the urban area the more
sustainability is require and the more requirement of the urban park to provide clean pollution
free air. Biodiversity is sustain by not cutting of more and more tress in the urban area and the
natural resources is utilise efficiently on the animal hunting the forest department putting a
restriction and for the street animal should prepare a protected area where the animal stay with
the full of safety no one harm.
3. Social perspective
The social perspective is that our environment is totally surrounded by the human
beings and natural environment so the society have a responsibility to show respect towards the
society because if the environment is provide something to us so it is our responsibility to return
something to our natural environment and it is the responsibility of the every individual (Ali, and
et.al., 2019).
1. Community development
To build an urban park develops their community and by that they know their
importance the urban park strengthening the social ties and also build strong relation and
cohesion. In the urban area people life is so busy they not much interact with the community so
to go their they met and understand the people and improve their life quality and moral is
increased (Kim, and et.al., 2018).
2. Gentrification
From the social perspective in the changing social demographic environment the every
one very conscious about their health status and more focused. In the changing life style of the
people they are more live stress full life not properly interact with each other so in the city urban
park people interact and want to spend some quality time but due to urbanization the green
spaces is decreases and the green spaces major part of the areas are recreational for the modern
life style
3. Health Perspective
The construct an urban park is mainly impact to the health because planting a lots of
plants give fresh and pollution free oxygen to the public and also to the other creatures.

1. Managing mental health and stress
It positively impact on the well being because those people who live in the urban area
they faces lot of chronic stress, pressure and other heath problem so by build the green urban
spaces such as green residential, playground, square planting and fountain is helps in promoting
the physical and mental health of the person and in the urban resident reduce mortality and
morbidity also helps is reducing noise, excessive heat and pollution (Ali, and et.al., 2019).
2. Promoting for more human well being
The green spaces is very much impact on the mental as well as physical health of the
people in the today’s climate changing environment various new diseases is born so to build a
green spaces urban park so the people daily go there and take a fresh oxygen and relax their
mind. The lot of pressure and stress is faces by the people so to go there give relax to our body
and through that it more promoting the more human well being.
RECOMMENDATIONS
We observe from the above evaluation that the decision taken by the council to build urban park
is truly correct (Zhang and Zhou, 2018). By the end of the report, certain measurements that can
be adopted by the council are:
ECONOMIC PERSPECTIVE
The problem that arises is of budgeting and the funds to be raised for the construction of
the park.
This can be solved with proper financial planning and allocation of resources.
Before undertaking such projects, the council should minimise the challenges & identify
the areas to where it should focus on and which areas can be given more importance such
as availability of water, location, green areas and so on.
SOCIAL PERSPECTIVE
The recommendation to the council is:
Building of such places gives us recreational facilities which are a need of an individual.
To make people interact with each other by organising events, concerts etc. so that people
can meet and interact with other and build socially beneficial relationships.
This can help individual relieve stress and tensions so that he can develop his inner
potential (Liu, Li and Zhang, 2017).
9

It can also organize meeting making people know and understand each other from
different socio demographic backgrounds.
ENVIRONMENTAL PERSPECTIVE
This is the most impactful consideration under the building of the urban parks because this
accounts for the major number of benefits to the economy as well as the community or society.
The recommendations given under this can be:
Councils should focus on the building of such parks where there is high growth rate of
urbanization.
They should construct such parks in areas of rising pollution to maintain stability in
environment.
The council through the construction of such parks should also focus on the biological
diversity and preservation green lands to maintain the region’s natural habitat (Correa and
et. al., 2019).
These recommendations make it clear as to how important is it to strike a balance between all
the perspectives for the construction of urban parks.
CONCLUSION
Under this report, we analysed the three major perspectives under the building of Urban Park.
Taking into consideration their impact, we conclude that:
Economic impact:
By analysing this impact, we came to know that building of urban parks will greatly
increase the value of the commercial and residential real estate and also will generate high tax
revenues for the state. It also generates tourism revenues through public gathering.
Social impact:
Considering this, it shows that by providing various health benefits and improving inter
personal relationships of individuals; it highly affects the society as a whole. When they interact
with each other, they develop respect towards each other. Having a strong and healthy
community directly affects the economy.
