Executive summary:
Nowadays life is get very busy in which they have no time to give for themselves. They
are not concerned about their health and fitness. This become the main reason that local council
build urban park because day to day increase in urbanisation. It becomes very necessary for
person that they should go in the urban parks. This report shows the impact of urban park on
everyone's life.

INTRODUCTION
Urban Park can be defined as a open space that is full of trees and plants and specially
designed for public use. They offer recreation to the residents, visitors. They urban parks are also
called municipal gardens. The urban parks are located near to the urban residents so that people
can take benefit and use the facility provided by them. As the urban park is build by local council
they will design, and maintain the operations of the park (Yan and Dong, 2018). The common
features that are associated with these urban park are playgrounds, hiking, running and fitness
paths, gardens, sports fields and courts, boat ramps, public restrooms, and picnic facilities. All
these depend on the budget and money spent on the construction of the park. It also depends on
the natural resources available. There are various benefits associated with the urban parks and it
is said that they are more than lungs to a city. As they control the pollution level and provide
greenery to the people. Along with that it is good for the emotional and physical health of nearby
people (Zhang, Moyle, and Jin, 2018). They also provide economic benefit to the country. They
enhance the value of the place. In this report there is discussion related to social, economic and
environmental impact of building new urban park in the locality. It also impacts the tourism of
the place. The major challenge faced by local council is to decide the place that is accessible to
all the people. Also it is important to design that is preferred by all age groups. Budget is another
challenge that is faced by the local council while building the urban park. In this report there is
discussion related to building a urban park and its impact. In the end the project is supported by
recommendations that help to successful build the urban park.
MAIN BODY
ANALYSIS
Day to day increasing in urbanisation, it is identified that people will not get proper space
for relaxing and exercising. This will get impact on many aspects such as person's health and
safety. Due to urbanisation nature get lost that means they are continuously destroy due to build
apartments and many more. For that purpose local council will be make urban park in the
society. But it is identified that it will get impacted by many perspectives that should be analysed
so that they can take right decision for location. All important perspective should be identified
and analysed that are mentioned below:

The Health Impacts
It is identified that half of the population is now living in urban areas who needs health
and safety of people. Local council fulfil this need with the help of building urban park.
Impact of green spaces on health: It is the area that allows all people that they come in
the place for getting relax and do exercise in the open area. In urban park, all people get relax
and feel very happy as it is the greenery place. It gives positive impact on health as it promotes
fitness and reducing obesity (Ma and et.al., 2021). In this new era obesity and many more
diseases are rising due to the maximum seating. It can be solved with the help of regular walking
and exercising but it is identified that urbanisation reduce the area. Urban park solve this
problems as it provides open space to the person. It improves air quality that helps in reducing
asthma and many more diseases. It is very important for the person because urban park reduce
heat with the help of greenery.
Impact on green spaces on well being: It also helps in developing a healthy well-being
in a open space. It is identified that all people are get together in the park that create a positive
environment. It improves behaviours of the people as they share their feeling which assist in
reducing stress level. It also give benefits such as mental benefits to the children.
Challenges: Day to day life of person get busy due to competition and every person want
that their life standard get rise so that 's why they focus on earning rather than on fitness. They
has no time that they go for a walk in the park. It is not a easy task for local council that how
they can encourage people to use park. It is analysed that people has no motivation towards
health and fitness.
The Economic Impacts
Urban park also influence economic condition of the country that means it get impacted
on economic situation. It is very important for the local community that they build urban park
which helps in giving economic benefits.
Job Creation: It is identified that urban park helps in job creation. It is very obvious that
when local community wants to build urban park then it gives employment to labour for building
a park (Larson, 2018). It also gives work to small farmers for gardening and also giving work to
street food workers as they are continuously run their stall on the daily basis.

Cost To Taxpayer: It is identified that it helps in increasing the property values which
ultimately increase the tax that helps government to formulate strategies for using funds that
received. It is very helpful to government that they get benefit from tax.
Attraction Of New Business: Urban park increasing get together of people as it invites
more person to come in the park. With the help of get together person share their ideas with other
person (Malik, Zubair and Manzoor, 2021). It helps in generation of new ideas because person
share their ideas that create or develop new idea. It is very helpful for the person who want to
create their new business which is unique from others.
Increasing value of property: Now societies are made with urban park which increase
the living standard as well as value of property. It is very crucial for person who want to live in
those place where the value of property are high. Property value rise with the help of facilities
that generally people want them such as hospitals, schools, parks. Urban park is the most
important thing that they want to spend their time for fitness and health. It creates a positive
environment through greenery.
The Impact on Tourism Hospitality and Event Industry
Urban park helps in generating opportunities for tourism and event industry because it
can be clearly seen from the recent scenario. It is identified that now event managers choose
parks for organising events. So that's why it can impacted on tourism as well as event industries.
Opportunities for holding events in the park: Now event organisers focus on organising
events in urban park with some decorations that gives greenery effect on the occasions. It is
identified that many function are now held in urban parks because it is economic and gives
greenery effect (Sugawara, Narita, and Mikami, 2021). One main reason of organising
functions in parks is people feel that they have small place because of urbanisation. So they
prefer urban parks to invite more and more people. There are many national parks that are found
in the country that generate tourism.
Logistical challenges: It is identified that when event manager organise some functions
or event in the park then they face some logistical challenges such as they incur high cost in
transporting goods at the park. Logistics are very tough to transfer because in park they have no
access.

Development of permanent hospitality facility: Now the event mangers are choosing to
open park cafe in the urban park which helps in inviting more and more customers in the park. It
increase permanent hospitality facility.
The Environmental Impact
The environmental impact of opening urban park on environment is explained below:
Pollution: The pollution is causing various problems and negative impact on the
environment. A new urban park will help to control the level of pollution in the market. The
negative impact that is caused by pollution is acid rain, climate change, global warning and also
health problems. Trees and plants help to control all this and has a positive impact on
environment.
Sustainability: It is a concept using the resources wisely and optimally so that they are
reserved for future generation also. Building a new urban park will enhance the concept of
sustainability as there are various benefits of urban park on the natural resources. It helps to
improve the quality of water and reduces the chances of flood (Li, 2020). Also it is habitat for
wildlife. These are the benefits that sow that urban park support sustainability.
The Social Impacts
Social impacts means the impact on society. As the people living nearby will get a place
where they can sit and discuss there problems and find solution. The social impact is discussed
below:
Community development: As people are busy in there daily work and do not get place
for recreation. Urban park that is nearby is a place where they can come and solve the common
issues and then find solutions to them This gives rise to community development. These urban
parks provide them place to get time out of busy schedule and discuss. It helps people to
socialise and interact with each other. This helps to build relations and know each other better.
Gentrification: It can be defined as a process through which the nature of
neighbourhood people is changed. As they get a place to meet and discuss they socialise and start
building relations (Song and Shim, 2021). The children's get a place to enjoy and play games that
also impacts the people that are living nearby. As the interaction increases people help each other
while there is need.

CONCLUSION
The report is based on building an urban park by local council. There are different
benefits associated with opening a new park that directly impact the environment as it reduces
the pollution and supports sustainability. Also there are various challenges that come in patgh
while building a urban park. The economic benefit of urban parks is that it gives rise to job and
increases the value of property nearby. Various business are attracted towards the place and start
small businesses. The society also gets benefit as they can form communities there and discuss
the issue faced. It also impacts the health of people as they come and do exercise that is good for
health. Children get place to come and play and enjoy. Also it provides opportunities for tourism
at that place. The main advantage is that it controls and reduces the pollution level and various
other negative impact of pollution.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Urban parks are like lung to city. There are various benefits of opening a urban park in a
locality. Some recommendations that will improve the parks more are mentioned below:
 As discussed earlier there is positive impact of urban parks on environment. It helps in
controlling the level of population. So it should also be taken care that there is
maintenance of neatness and classiness in the surroundings. Also there should be no
wastage of water. All the resources should be optimally used. People that visit the place
should feel good and the urban park should be hygienic for the visitors.
 The park is a place that helps people to be healthy as they visit their for exercise, jogging.
So the park should be designed in such a way that it is useful for people of all age groups.
No matter what the age of person is the individual should get benefit. The park is build
for public so should be designed in such a way it safe for use of all.
 As it provides opportunity for various business and also it enhances the value of property
so the location hat is decided for the urban park should be accessible for all. The benefit
of community development will be fulfilled if the urban park is located at place that is
near to urban location. So that people can visit and take benefit.
There are various benefits of urban park by keeping in mind above mentioned will help the urban
park to provide benefit to all.
