Reflection
I am glad to have an opportunity to conduct study on the ramifications of increasing numbers of
urgent clinics. It includes the criterion of evaluating important and benefits of increasing urgent
clinics in terms of health of entire population of the country. Basically, it is observed that
effective number of emergency cases occurs on regular basis develop challenging situation for
healthcare system. It is necessary to have much effective healthcare system which is capable to
deal with contingency situations of patient properly. I feel lucky to have the chance to carry out
this investigation it will increase mu knowledge and skills of research which facilitate to improve
my capability to conduct research in future in more appropriate manner. It is essential to conduct
the study of selected research problem in order to analyse the actual need of urgent clinics in
nation and their important to improve health status of overall population (Kaufman and et. al.,
2016). It has been analysed that emergency conditions were occur often that needs to establish
separate urgent care clinics having well trained staff to overcome with complications as soon as
possible. It will provide support to reduce the death rate of among patient due to contingency
situations take place influenced by complications in respect of enhancing health of citizens.
However, separate urgent care clinics will conduct training sessions to deal with extreme
complicated conditions which make them capable to deliver appropriate care with accurate
decision that is helpful to decrease health issues among people. They can make immediate and
accurate decision to deliver car services quickly for wellbeing of an individual.
On the other hand, it is helpful for me to analyse about actual need and its benefits in context of
common people in order to gain immediate services. It has been analysed that due to having
extra work load, care staff is not able to attend every patient. Basically, I feel that it will prove to
be beneficial to have separate care clinics for emergency situations because they can focus on
specific field of medical contingencies to make immediate decision for wellness of patient. It is
essential to make an individual easily overcome with complicate medical conditions (Shaw and
et. al., 2014). Meanwhile, it is necessary to make more effective as well as efficient care plan in
contingency situations which is favourable to reduce death rate related urgent care needs. I
believe that increase in number of urgent care clinics impact positively on entire healthcare
system to make it more potential in terms of delivering effective care in emergency
circumstances. I focus on one another aspect that is urgent care clinics should increase in number
but also distribute according to geographical area in proper manner. It is necessary to organise

their location at correct place so that people should not travel much to visit emergency care
centre because it is observed that patient get died in few of cases during the travelling distance.
The distance factor is required to be considered to deliver appropriate benefits of urgent care
clinics to population of the country.
I like to utilise the Gibbs reflection model in order to reflect about the investigation and its
respective findings. It includes the number of elements description, feelings, evaluation, analysis,
and conclusion and action plan. Initially, the factor of description consist overall situation and
experiences of the same. Secondly, it consist the feelings that involves thoughts and believes
about specific experiences of particular medical condition occurred (Smolowitz and et. al.,
2015). Thirdly, it involves the evaluation of the gained experience related to specific condition
including both aspects like good and bad. However, it includes the factor of analysis that
considers analysing the relevant aspects in order to make sense of specific condition. In addition
to this, the conclusion consist the information about what you have learnt from particular
situation as well as what you done differently to deal with the same. Moreover, it is necessary to
take final step that is action plan about how would you deal with similar circumstances in future
time or general changes which are required according to your opinion that are appropriate. I feel
that this model is accurate to reflect about my investigation because it is responsible for
providing proper description in every stage that facilitate to properly explain about the research
and relevant aspects. It will provide support to focus on different depths of reflection to reflect
on my research in proper manner. Furthermore it is favourable in terms of providing proper
information as well as explanation with the help of using Gibbs reflection model.
By considering the given investigation carried out by me, I have analysed that urgent care clinics
are required to be establish in separate and appropriate manner. It will provide support to reduce
extra work loads of staff present in healthcare organisations due to lack of staff and other
resource (Rumsfeld, Joynt and Maddox, 2016). However, patient will get accurate attention and
care by reducing waiting duration of time then it is suitable for medical staff as well as sick
people. It is necessary to organise specific care settings such as normal cases. Complicated cases,
mid complicated situations etc. which is helpful for staff members to conduct their clinical tasks
effectively and patient will get appropriate facilities for their wellbeing. I am considering
number of factors mentioned in Gibbs model to reflect about my investigation protocol based on
the topic of ramifications of increasing numbers of urgent care clinics.

Description: I have an opportunity to carry out investigation on the selected research problem
that is ramifications of increasing numbers of urgent care clinics in country. It is observed that
many times emergency situations occur in country for which sufficient services are not able to
available on time. It will facilitate to death of an individual that result into increase in death rate
of complicated cases in hospitals. However, it has been identified that some of people get diet in
the travelling duration because urgent clinics are situated very far from their residential area. It is
observed that proper resources and specialist staff is not available and care delayed for patient
due to which extreme complications occurs or it may leads to death of the patient. It includes the
fact that many times delayed services are responsible for developing extreme level of
complications which are difficulty to be treated and patient suffer more than normal (Randall and
et. al., 2017). It includes that nursing staff should remain capable by having potential knowledge
and skills which facilitate to reduce the problem of delayed services. However, the problem is
additional work load on staff which impact negatively on their personal health and focus that
facilitate to improve chance of occurring drugs errors and other clinical mistakes. It is necessary
to increase number of staff in every care home which can be done by increasing urgent care
clinics that is sufficient to deal with patients of various complexities to ensure their better health
condition respectively.
In addition to this, the problem of delayed services and lack of staff & unavailability of desired
resources occurs many times on hospitals which impact negatively in patient suffering from
emergency condition of disease. This investigation is must to examine the impact of increasing
numbers of urgent care clinics in context of welfare of the society. Basically, I believe that I need
a team to conduct entire research process in order to gain appropriate findings. My colleagues
were present with me to discuss about this study by panning different activities including
literature review, use of appropriate research method, data analysis method, sampling of
respondents, collecting information and so on. It includes the main process of carrying out
conducting literature review along with using effective method of research (Nguyen, Bellucci
and Nguyen, 2014). I use to distribute all the task of investigation to my team members
according to their field of expertise because it makes them feel interesting to perform and
research outcomes will be accurately achieved. We have focused to utilise the qualitative
method of research because it is suitable for selected topic in respect of gaining appropriate
results. However, the views of different authors were analysed to gather relevant data by carrying

out literature review. I have focus to establish an effective as well as efficient questionnaire
which is accurate to gain relevant information that facilitates to attain respective outcomes. I
have founded that ramifications of increasing numbers of urgent care clinics is necessary but
location should be considered so that every small town have one urgent care home to receive
care services as per their need immediately.
Feelings: By studying about the topic, I felt that urgent care clinics are required because they
provide number of benefits to people living in country. It is beneficial to reduce extra work load
of nursing staff then they will perform their work with more focus and carefulness to gain better
clinical outcomes. Basically, it will provide support to emergency and normal patients to gain
appropriate medical facilities without waiting for a long duration of time which is favourable for
their better health status (Guan and et. al., 2016). It is also beneficial for employment of medical
students as they will get easily jobs in their fields if health organisation will be increased in
numbers in a country. It is also advantageous for the country in terms of delivery medical
services on time along with boosting up strength of healthcare system. However, I feel that
situation of having increased urgent care homes is favourable but is it is also required to be make
sure that such clinics should in only desired number according to need of population living in the
nation. It is necessary to establish more effective as well as efficient care decision for emergency
situations to make an individual healthy. Moreover, my team members’ views are that delayed
services are known to be a threat for healthcare system that can be decreased by increasing
urgent care centres. It is beneficial for people as well as nursing staff to remain diseases free and
deliver appropriate care to sick people for their wellbeing.
On the other hand, I feel that urgent care centres construction is required but government should
first study about its need according to which such care homes are required to be built. I also
believe that use of secondary data is helpful in terms of conducting literature review and
qualitative research method is favourable for this study. However, some of colleagues feel that
quantitative research method is suitable because statistical data is responsible for gaining
accurate outcomes of investigation (Ho and et. al., 2016). It is well known that qualitative and
quantitative research is decided on the basis of research problem to gather relevant data and
accurate outcomes. My team members also think that constructions of urgent care clinics and
study about its need should be conducted in parallel. It is helpful to save time and urgent acre
homes will be established earlier in desired amount to deliver contingency facilities for better

health ill citizens. It is observed that study is required to be carried out first and then establish
emergency care hospitals because extra care homes are not able to potentially provide medical
treatment to people. My opinion states that only constructions is not sufficient but government is
required to be make sure well trained and experienced nursing staff as well as specialist should
be available to people while seeking for clinical treatment. I have thinking while conducting the
investigation that what is the effective way to gain accurate and confusion free statement of
respondents to achieve accurate data.
Evaluation: My investigation was carried out in proper manner because my colleagues perform
their duties very well. I am glad to have such team who work with dedication and honesty to gain
appropriate information which facilitates to attain desired findings. Meanwhile, there are
different research tasks are required to be addressed which were carried out within specific
duration of time. It includes that positive aspect of my team that they are so cooperative and
perform with appropriate coordination that reflects in their performance (Greer and et. al., 2016).
It includes that we have consider all the ethical considerations which are required such as
autonomy, informed consent, confidentiality, trustworthiness and many more. I personally make
sure that data related to participants should be kept private and never discussed with any one. It
is just to use the data in terms of investigation to gain accurate findings. It is very essential to
maintain confidentiality of respondents and utilise personal data of any organisation or special
person then it is mandatory to take legal permission that is considered in this investigation. We
have provided every important details to participants and approach to number of people but
never force any one. The people were just encouraged by influencing them regarding their
contribution for welfare of people of the country by participating in the program. We have
utilised the secondary research sources such as books, journals, articles, websites etc. that are
recently published which helps to boost up accuracy of research outcomes. It includes
considering the articles published between the year of 2014 to 2020 to gain recent data for this
research.
In addition to this, I and my team tried our best to make the study accurate by gaining relevant
data and findings. It includes some of negative aspects which were occurred during the process
of conducting whole study about the given topic of ramifications of increasing numbers of urgent
care clinics (Cho and et. al., 2015). However, it has been analysed that some of aspects gone on
incorrect which may impact on the respective findings of the study. It includes that secondary

research articles were not available on the similar topic then we have analyse number of research
articles to extract related information in order to gain accurate outcomes. Meanwhile, it is very
difficult task for us and increase the work for research which consumes additional time but we
manage it and gain relevant data from various articles and books. It includes that this tasks intake
more time as compared to other time but we manage it to conduct literature review (Norris and
et. al., 2014). It is observed that secondary sources were taken which are recently published but
they were not on specific topic. I have evaluated that few of articles were based on similar topic
but that was published in 1990s so that we have avoid it. Moreover, other negative fact consist
the process through which opinions were taken from respondents which is also develop problem
for my team. It includes the situation when some of participants are not sure about their opinion
and few of them were confused that creates difficulty to gain data.
Analysis: The carried investigation has been analysed that my team put their proper efforts in
terms of conducting all the tasks of study. It includes the criterion of conducting different
activities in order to gather relevant information to analyse the same which facilitate to gain
accurate outcomes. However, I have analysed that my team effort is accurate and effective
communication was there due to which work has been done in proper manner. The most
important thing which helps to manage all the difficulties is effective conversation and mutual
understanding between us. It will provide support to establish more effective as well as efficient
cooperation that helps to gain accurate findings (Capoccia, Odegard and Letassy, 2016).
Basically, it will provide support to gather appropriate data related to the topic that helps to
analyse about necessity of urgent care clinics in country. The another good thing is the use of
qualitative method of research because it is helpful to understand behaviour an thoughts of
others that helps to evaluate that how much people want urgent care homes in their areas. My
team is able to manage all the work due to having good professional relationship and team spirit
which helps to perform with cooperation. Moreover, I believe that use of method is depends
upon research topic and factors to be considered in study that facilitates to achieve better
outcomes. It is important the select appropriate methodology because it has a significant role in
terms of gaining respective outcomes. Additionally, this investigation improves my experience
which helps me in future research.
On the other hand, it has been analysed that some of things gone wrong like specific research
article related to my topic is not available then we have decided to drop other tasks and focus on

screening relevant articles. It is possible because my team members understand the problems
easily and ready with cooperate with other. This way of thinking and team spirit is responsible
for making our difficulties easy and we are capable to deal with various issues for making this
investigation appropriate. I have analysed that respondents create problem for my team member
who were assigned to collect their data because they are not able to provide desired answer. They
are confused in terms of their own respondents due which it takes more duration of time. My
team perform again with cooperation to make participants inform to make their opinions accurate
and they have to just tell about what they feel about increase in number of urgent clinics in
country. In addition to this, it is observed that some of participants feel hesitated for providing
their opinions due to having some fear then I used to make them inform for maintaining
confidentiality about them. It was necessary to convey about confidentiality and make them
understand about the investigation with its reasons at that time (Tsai and Teng, 2014). Moreover,
I have analysed that research should make sure to collect more accurate as well as recent
information which helps to gin accurate decisions.
Conclusion: From the given investigation, it has been concluded that ramifications of increasing
numbers of urgent care clinics is an important aspect to be studied. It includes the utilisation of
effective as well as efficient research methods in order to gain appropriate methods which are
helpful conduct the study in appropriate manner. However, it consist the utilisation of qualitative
research method and secondary sources of data collection including books, journals & articles to
gain relevant information. In consists the utilisation of the random sampling method which is
known to be effective to conducting recruitment of desired respondents to involve them in
process of research. It is necessary to use appropriate group of respondents as a sample from
target population which provide support to gather accurate data for gaining better findings (Hart
and et. al., 2014). It includes that urgent care clinics are required to be in desired amount in
country according to the population. Meanwhile, it is observed that urgent clinics should be
constructed in different geographical areas of the nation by covering all the locations so that
people will not face difficulty in emergency clinical situations. It is also required to make sure
about availability of desired resources and staff members to deliver effective care services.
I have learned from the situation of investigation that cooperative and coordinated team members
are must for conducing appropriate research. It is necessary to conduct a session of training for
team members in order to make them understand about effective communication and mutual

understanding. It will make them capable to establish efficient cooperation and coordination in
respect of performing the research tasks in proper manner. However, the training before
investigation is favourable to establish potential team for collecting information and recruiting
respondents’ impact positively to gain accurate findings as well as results that are reliable.
Action plan: I have carried out the investigation which is beneficial for me as an opportunity to
learn about an important aspect related to urgent care clinics. It is favourable to gain experience
of conducting research along with sharpening my skills as well as abilities in terms of future
investigations (Lama and et. al., 2016). However, I can be carrying out future research in more
effective as well as efficient manner. I have analysed that that it is very important to take
suggestions of some of senior researchers who have already conduct study on similar topic which
was missed in current investigation.
On the other hand, I need to develop the skills of time management because some of tasks
consumes more duration of time as compared to set period. It is necessary to organise the time
scale according to requirement so that every research tasks can be conducted in proper manner.
However, I have to make sure that team member should have patience and mutual understanding
with each other. It is required to make sure that every specific activity of investigation is going in
correct direction as well as completed within desired time. Moreover, it includes the use of
appropriate sources of data collect because findings are depends upon the same.
