1IMPACT OF ENVIRONMENT ON U.S ECONOMY
Abstract:
As the U.S government is planning to withdraw their name from the Paris Trade Agreement,
there will be some uncertainty related to the country’s environment. Hence, to understand the
upcoming situation, a research will be done. The research will show the relation between
green house gases and global warming.

3IMPACT OF ENVIRONMENT ON U.S ECONOMY
Introduction:
Background of the topic:
Environment is an important factor that has a great influence on a country’s economy.
For this, the government of U.S has taken various policies to protect environment. The Paris
Agreement is one of those policies that were taken to control negative effect of climate
change (Falkner, 2016). This agreement was developed in 2015. However, present President
of U.S has withdrawn from this policy. Hence, in this research proposal, researcher will try to
investigate the effect that will happen with U.S economy.
As various firms promise to control environment after withdrawal of the Paris
Agreement, an environmental indicator will be needed to compute future environmental
condition of U.S. Within an economy, there are various factors that can influence a country’s
environmental conditions (Obergassel et al., 2016). Hence, it is very important to choose
proper factors to prepare an overall environmental indicator for all business organisations.
Moreover, to understand the environmental changes of U.S after withdrawing this agreement,
it is very important to track temperature data of previous ten years.
Research aim and objectives:
The research paper has some basic aims to observe.
To analyse environmental condition of U.S after leaving the Paris Agreement.
To analyse weather temperature of U.S as an effect of global warming.
To establish the relation between CO2 and weather temperature.
To analyse the impact of business organisations on environment.
Hence, to achieve those aims, some objectives will be made to conduct this research
further.

4IMPACT OF ENVIRONMENT ON U.S ECONOMY
To analyse weather report of U.S for the last ten years.
To analyse the amount of carbon dioxide emission from each firm of U.S, every day.
To observe the impact of carbon dioxide on temperature.
Research Questions:
What is the economical impact of The Paris Agreement withdrawn on U.S economy?
How this withdrawal of policy will effect innovation and investment related to low
carbon technologies?
Will the biggest industries of U.S maintain their own environmental focus?
What are the different methods that those industries have taken to control
environment?
Will the temperature of U.S be affected in coming future?
Will the production units generate carbon dioxide (CO2) to a small amount?
Research hypothesis:
The following hypotheses are needed to conduct this research process.
Null Hypothesis (H0): There is a positive relation between temperature and carbon
dioxide emission. As each firm will produce more CO2, the average temperature of
U.S will also be increased.
Alternative Hypothesis (H1): There is no relation between emission of carbon dioxide
and average temperature of U.S.

5IMPACT OF ENVIRONMENT ON U.S ECONOMY
Research methodology:
Data Collection:
There are generally two types of data, that is, primary and secondary. Again, both in
primary and secondary data are of two types. These are quantitative and qualitative.
However, to do this research, the researcher will collect only quantitative secondary data.
To analyse average temperature of U.S, weather reports of previous ten years will be
needed. This data can be obtained from any governmental official website related to weather.
The website of National Centres for Environmental Information (NOAA) will be used to
collect previous data.
Moreover, secondary data related to carbon dioxide emission of each country is also
required. For this, again secondary data will be needed to collect. This data can be obtained
from different journals or magazines that have already published articles on company’s
carbon dioxide creation.
Sampling techniques:
To measure statistical data of U.S, it will be mandatory to collect data from each firm
related to production of carbon dioxide. However, it is not possible to collect data from each
firm (Mertler & Reinhart, 2016). Hence, a sampling method will be applied. Firms will be
selected randomly, without any replacement. However, for average temperature calculation,
sampling method will not be required.
Analysis method:
To analyse statistical data, dependent variable and independent variable are needed.
Here, dependent variable is weather temperature of U.S. on the other hand; independent
variable will be the amount of carbon dioxide that is generated everyday from production

firms of U.S. Here, a regression analysis will be done to understand the relation between
dependent variable and independent variable that have already collected.
Outcomes:
There will be some positive relation between green house gases and global warming.
Conclusion:
As global warming is a serious problem for every country, some policies related to
environment are needed. The Paris Agreement is one of those international agreements of
environment. However, U.S is withdrawing from this agreement. Hence, it is important to
analyse the further effect on environment of U.S and understand this, the research will be
done. Moreover, the relation between CO2 or green house gases and global warming will also
be seen.
