Political Campaign Video Analysis

Introduction
Political election campaign is the most vital and important work that a party has to do in a
more effective way. As the final result of election is very much depends on this campaign
done by party nominated candidate, so it has found that they use different media for their
campaign work. To make this campaign more intense they have been found to change their
strategies on basis of the agenda of their opponent party. They often change their election
strategy on basis of the evaluation of past voting result. Any campaign is an organised effort
of that party. Campaign become successful only when there is a campaign manager and a
comprehensive vision regarding the election agendas. As the decision making process of
voters can be mould by this campaigning work, so the nominee has to be more precise about
the motto. It has found that more often the political parties choose visual media to reach their

In these two videos we found that both the political parties of United States have started their
campaigning work. In video one we get to see it that Pat Toomey, a republican party
nominee has shown his disparity and disagreement with Donald Trump and in his agenda he
make it very clear, though his is belongs to Republican party. He believes that for any
president it is very much important to get his or her senator to take a stand against any wrong
issue and ideas. But In Washington, if anyone has courage and backbone he often found it
difficult to take a strong stand for that. Everyone wants to enjoy independence and if he has
to compromise with it, then the livelihood becomes jeopardy. Pat Toomey in this video
campaign make it clear that if he win this senatorial election, the 1st thing he will do is to
ensure the independence of individual. His opponent party candidate has no stand for her own
version and American bosses has picked her hand for their own purposes. So basically the
main agenda of Paul Toomey is to insecure the liberty of Americans, because we often found
it that racism is very common cause for that people have to compromise with their

In the second video we found that democratise senatorial campaign has posted a visual ad to
reach the audience and their party nominee Katie McGinty’s election agenda. As she has
come from a working class family, so her main agenda for election are cost of living, equality
in workplace and no discrepancy in pay scale. In Washington social security of people are
engender. Especially in workplace the security of women are in treats. Nightlife in America
is also in danger as the basic security has become vulnerable. Many illegitimate influences
often found in medicare system and this is the reason that medical facility in USA is very

much expensive as compared to other states. Katie McGinty has introduced an agenda for
working family and working women. She has proposed to make abortion legal. She has
emphasized on the woman’s health and their ability to plan for a family. She believes that
planned parenthood help to strengthen the equality and safe life. She proposed to provide

Comparison between this two video
The competitiveness level in a primary election often makes an impression on the degree of
responsiveness. A candidate’s opponent’s agendas help them to modify their advertising
strategies. From these two videos we can make a clear comparison between the two party
senator's agenda. There is always a clear difference between their agendas. (Banda, Kevin K.,

Democrats candidates are more liberal whereas republicans are found more conservative on
social issues. Republics candidates are against homo sexuality and they found to promote the
right of possession of gun. Whereas the Democrats candidate wants to make gay marriage
and abortion legal to promote independence and equality.
There is also a difference in their tax policy. Both the parties prefer to cut the tax rate but
Democrats candidate prefer to lower the tax rate mainly for middle and lower class people
but in contrast the Republicans wants to make the tax rate equal for every individual.
Republican senator has found to oppose increases to the minimum wages of workers. But in
contrast the Democrats candidate found to favour in increasing of minimum wages so that
Americans can promote their livelihood in a lavish way. Democrats prefer to promote
American in business but Republicans believes on free trading. (Evans, Heather)
Democrats candidate preferred progressive approach in education system and in favour of
education loan, but in contrary the Republican candidate wants to enhance the duration of
educational system and long hour project.
Democrats want to use the money earned by collection of tax should be use in social welfare
programme such as food benefits program, health care system and unemployed family,
Republicans promote small organisation so that people can get employment and earn their
livelihood more progressive manner.
There is always an obvious difference in energy and environment issues between these two
party member’s election agenda .Democrats candidate want to bring some restriction on
drilling of oil and fossil fuel so that it does not make any impression on environment. But
Republican candidate prefer to provide oil and other energy resources at lower price.

Democrats candidate put an emphasize on people liberty including accession on foods.But
Republicans wants more freedom of people.(Kreiss, Daniel)
There is a difference between the immigration policy between these two candidates.
Republicans put force on border security and illegal immigration are handled in a strict
manner, whereas the Democrats candidate wants citizenship policy more liberal.
Conclusion
In conclusion it can be stated that there is a huge difference between the election agenda of
two major party in America. Democrat candidate is putting emphasis on people’s freedom
whereas the Republican candidate wants to bring liberty in wages and women’s movements.
