Discussion post:
According to Zogby (2018), health care in the United States is right or a privilege for
everyone in the population in the United States. Zogby (2018), stated that Medicare is a system
that works well in the United States and it should be expanded to cover all of the health-related
issues of Americans. US government plays crucial role in the healthcare system by protecting
and advancing the interest of the society, which involves the delivery of high quality of health
care. The prime reason behind lack of high quality care is that US market of health care cannot
ensure the access of the superior quality of health care alone. Thereby, involvement of
government restores the interest of the American citizens by supplementing the market of health
care where the gaps are present and regulating the health care where the inefficiency is present
(Zogby, 2018). Therefore, the ultimate goal of achieving high-quality care for every American
can be successful only by the strong partnership between federal, state and local government
along with private sectors. The US government also plays the crucial role in implementing
affordable care act 2010 that has been designed for reducing health care costs which can be
accessible to common people, proper health insurance, support access to the vulnerable people
(Obama, 2016). Zogby (2018), stated that 57% of voters in the united stated prefer some form of
direct involvement in health insurance to Americans. Men out of all democrats in US are more
likely to favour the “Medicare to all”.
According to Obama, B. (2016), social factors such as poverty, drugs, working, and
unemployment impacted the health care delivery along with the stigmatization of chronic
diseases, whereas economic factors such as reduced hospital funding with the higher cost of
health care, higher uninsured families, shortage of staffs in the health care. Only 16% of the user

procedure of health care system and reduced the quality of the patient-centric care (Dieleman et
al., 2016). Although in the developed countries like US, the health care sectors able to provide
the health care facilities within proper ethics, certain ethical issues decreased health care services
which involves conflict between two health professionals, superior treatment for influential
people and mediocre treatment for the normal issues, providing care within minimal benefit
(Eckelman & Sherman, 2016). Therefore, it affected the delivery process of the health care
whereas health care is the privilege for every citizen in America. Furthermore, legal issues such
as the higher price of drugs with brand names, higher taxes on the health care equipment affected
the delivery process of health sectors (Eckelman & Sherman, 2016). Zogby (2018), addresses all
of tissues of health care system since the article highlighted that majority of the citizen in the
United States voted for direct involvement of the US government in the health care system in
order to enhance the quality of the health care and incorporate health care facilities.
