Question 1
Ans: The term Antebellum refers to the period in the history of the United States, which
extended between the war of 1812 and that of the Civil War in America itself. It was a period
in the history of the country which was marked by the debut of the system of feminism in the
country itself. These feminist leaders were both radical and traditionalists in a number of
ways.
The Antebellum Feminists were radical in the sense that it was the period in which the
women started to demand their own rights for themselves. They wanted equal rights as the
men for their jobs and more opportunities in the field of businesses itself (Perreira, 2013). At
the same time, the Antebellum Feminists are traditional in the sense that they participated in
various activities of the Government itself as well as participated in the household activities
of the women themselves.
Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton were two of the well-feminists of the
Antebellum period.
Question 2
Ans: The Antebellum Communal Projects and Experiments refer to a number of activities
undertaken by the communal Antebellum in the sense that they can promote the equality of
the opportunities of the males and the females in the country itself. These projects included a
number of social activities in which the feminists of the Antebellum period itself participated
in a number of activities to make that equal rights can be obtained for the women in the same
way as they are for the men themselves.
These communal projects were similar and at the same time, different to each other in
a number of ways itself. The similarity is the fact that these projects were each aimed at the
obtaining of the equal rights of the women as well as for the men in the country itself. Thus,

the similarity of the communal projects are used to refer to the equality of the opportunity for
the feminists themselves (Pollock, 2013).
However, the difference of the communal projects includes the subject matter of the
method of the communal projects includes the subject matter if the Antebellum feminists
engaging in various methods to make sure that the objectives of the subject matter are easily
obtained by them in the course of the various movements which have been undertaken by the
feminists of that time period itself in the country of the United States of America itself.
Question 3
Ans: The Kansas – Nebraska Act was passed in May 30th 1984 by the Congress of the
United States of America itself. According to this act, the people living in these territories
were given the chance to decide for themselves whether the people in those states wanted the
slavery to continue in those states or not. The main point of argument for the people was the
fact that people in the south wanted the slavery to continue in their states itself whereas the
people in the North condemned such a move by the South (Perreira et. all, 2013).
Abraham Lincoln was offended by the Kansas – Nebraska Act because of the fact that
the Northern people wanted to abolish the problem of the slavery in the country itself. On the
other hand, the people in the south of the country itself supported the cause of the slavery in
the country itself. Thus, it is because of the reason that the Kansas- Nebraska Act offended
Abraham Lincoln as well as the other Northerners in the country itself.
Question 4
Ans: The Dred Scott Decision was considered to be taken place as a result of the
conclusion of the case of the Dredd Scott vs. Sanford, which was an important chapter in the
history of The American Civil War (Pollock, 2013). The case of the matter happened after a
slave named Dredd Scott demanded the citizenship of the United States after being a slave.

However, the Supreme Court ruled out the order claiming the fact that the Blacks who were
slaves in the country could not be allowed the citizenship of the United States of America
