Introduction.
The US Navy is one of the institutions that steeped in tradition. One of the most
defining characteristic notion about the organization is its heritage in the culture of command
(Selznick,2011). Therefore, the initiation process in the US Navy is steeped in tradition that
is- it has developed for the last 125 years whereby the Chief Petty officer has been a part for
the Navy. This is to suggest that each chief petty officer in navy has to undergo initiation
programs so as to show his/her own capabilities and skills which marks one to be part of the
Mess.
Therefore, the change of US Navy Chief Initiations will involve changing the traditional way
of selecting the leaders and conforming to the current standardized policies of initiating a
leader in the certain organization. The US potential on adjusting the Navy principles will be
based on different factors.
First, the US needs to have an action plan for the process. This focuses on initiating
accessible training programs that will build chiefs to have a teamwork thus enabling them to
accomplish mission effectively (Nye, 2016). This strategy will provide adequate substantive
perspectives on entire expectations required by the Chief. For example, US Navy initiative,
informing on aspects of accountability and use of integrity will enable selectee to acquire
important skills. In addition to the professional training in different learning, institutions will
serve as the guidepost for providing information's describing CPO messes in all US Navies.
Also, the aspect of physical training reveals US potentials to transform to new standards of
leadership. In general, the issue of physical fitness will show how fit a program is and how
sailors use the physical fitness. All Chiefs and new selectees will be provided with the safe
training practices that will aim to increase the level of competence (Brzezinski, 2016).

The other potential for transforming from initiation tradition to the present standards will be
based on the entire concept of communication. The planning for the programs should be
communicated to the relevant authorities in the company. Commanding officer in the
organization needs to be informed before the event begins. This is to say that the CMC/CSEL
should ensure that there are planned activities on US Navy Chiefs Officers.
Considering the appropriate timeline also forms the potential of US Navy to transform from
tradition concepts to present skills in leadership. Designing the timeline means that an order
is established and therefore there will be no single case whereby the selected events will
conflict with the executions from the command (Masland & Radway, 2015). The timeline
will reveal the level of experience which will help the new selectee to re-energize and enable
Chiefs to prepare new selectee appropriately. By this US will be in the position to set an
example to the entire world on how it is using professional concepts in enlisted force groups.
Conclusion.
Therefore, through the potentials then US Navy will be able to conform to new
leadership goals. Through the mission command in the US Navy, sharing commands and
cooperating in missions serves as major factors directing on US Navy (Masland & Radway,
2015). All Navy officers should be given adequate opportunity so as to practice the art of
command. By this then the US will have to shift from the traditions to present leadership
changes.
