Value based health care is a new approach and model that is used by various hospitals
and physicians in order to increase the value rather than volume. This study will show about the
importance of value based care for its services users like patients, suppliers, providers, payers
and society. Fro improving value based health care many doctors and staff use development plan
and then follow that plan. The main aim of making that plan is to improve their skills and

majorly contributing the changes in the health of the world population. In many countries, the
cost of healthcare is also rising rapidly as they spend up to 10% of their GDP on healthcare. It
focuses on value more than volume that is key element in healthcare system.

higher quality care for patients which can also help healthcare providers in order to manage cost

There is a difference between volume based healthcare and value based health care.

identify their opportunities for improving performance. It can also reduce the variation in
performance and cost. By reducing variations it can help them in comparing performance
between physicians and facilities. It can also introduce value by considering all aspects of care
that affects patients. It can also evaluate and measure values dividing quality by cost which is the
relevant aspect of quality against the cost which is providing care.
For improving the total cost of care it can total and count all the medical expenditures for
group of individuals and patient. The ability of providers to manage total cost of care is
important for remaining profitable under competitive market. Sustainability of vale based care is
also important for improving quality. Many quality projects fail after they meet their first and
initial goals. Manager also shift their attention towards new goals when they achieve their initial
goals. For maintaining and improving value based care it is important for them to make a solid
framework for sustainability (Lloyd, Bor and Noble, 2018).

Introduction: Personal development plan is a structured process that is undertaken by an
individual in order to reflect their own performance, learning and also to plan for their personal
and career development. The main aim of nursing development plan is to improve their learning
that can help them in maintaining skills and building knowledge to provide competent and safe
services and care to their patients.
It also support fro growth and career development to employers by which they can
increase engagement and decrease the turnover of nurses within an organisation. By investing in
personal professional development plan, nurses can influence patient experience and can target
their learning goals which helps them in progressing and increasing in their career wherever they
are in their career (Macchi and Kessler, 2018).
There are some tips by which they can improve their professional development plan:
 By investing in professional development and then make development plan. It can set
time in order to review and analyse their plan for accomplishing goals.

 After making plan they can ask to their employers that what types of development plans
and programs are available for them.
 By using reflective practices it can identify their learning needs. After that it can improve
their learning and experience.
 It can also discuss their learning goals and needs with their nursing leaders and their
mentor.
Personal vision: As a nurse practitioner, my personal vision is to make lifelong
relationship with patients by providing them safe, holistic and sensitive care. For achieving this
vision I need to improve creative use of knowledge, technologies, time management and ethics
towards patients.
Ideal future job role: Ideal job role for future is to make and become nurse anaesthetist
and want to work with National health service for needy people.
SWOT analysis: There are some strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of
nurse that need to be develop and use in their practices. It is very useful and important method
that help them in identifying their strengths and weakness related to their purpose that need to be
improved (McWalter and et.al., 2015).
