AI Summary
This essay provides a comprehensive overview of the VARK (Visual, Auditory, Read/Write, Kinesthetic) learning style model and its application in higher education. It discusses each learning style in detail, including the preferences and techniques associated with visual, auditory, read/write, and kinesthetic learners. The essay also includes a personal reflection on the author's own learning style, identifying visual learning as their preferred method. The author outlines specific strategies, such as sitting in the front of the classroom, taking detailed and organized notes, using diagrams and visual aids, and employing sketch noting techniques, to enhance their learning experience. The report concludes that the VARK model is a valuable framework for students to understand and leverage their individual learning preferences to improve their academic performance. Desklib offers a wealth of resources, including similar essays and study materials, to support students in their educational pursuits.

INTRODUCTION
Study skills are important for a person to improve their education, learning, knowledge,
skill ad other things (Blevins, 2021). With adoption this style, a person is able to learn new
things and can get good grade in completing higher education. This project report includes
discussion of different types of learning styles including VARK model. It also discusses personal
experience of a person describing their own learning styles and techniques that will helps them to
make their study better.
TASK
Discussion of learning style of VARK model
VARK is a learning style model that was introduced by Neil Fleming in the year 1987. It
is a model which develop different ways to assist students for learning different things as per
their own preferences. There are different ways in which a person can categorise learning style
and this model is mainly focusing on it. As per this model, a learner can identify different ways
of learning like visual learning, auditory learning, kinesthetic learning, reading and writing.
Visual Learner: There are some students who are preferring visual learning students ad
these are preferred to sit at front in classroom. These students are those who prefer to use
connectors, diagram, create graphic organisers (Covaci, 2019). These students are preferred to
taking more notes which are to be organised, colour coded and aims at getting distinction. For
this students can use sketch notes by doodling and enabling text process of information that
allow students create more meaning and representing it in effective manner.
Auditory Learners: Auditory learners are those who can listen to things carefully and
also focus on tone as well as rate of speech that provide benefits to a person by providing them
different supplemental resources like audio as well as video components. These students while
working in group will get more benefits as there are more discussion, exchanging ideas,
repeating content, reading loud and other things which contribute to their learning. It is a style of
learning that can use flipgrid in order to post a question and also having response of students.
Read/Write Learners: These learners are preferring to write things in text format. These
learners are first writing things and then also rewrite things, review notes prepare for class and
also interact in written formats (Díaz, Rubilar and Silva, 2018). These students are creating
diagram, converting them into statement and also making list by arranging words with

developing some hierarchy. A person can get various benefits of this style which allow them to
use presentation where a person get get large information and can convert it in presentation
format which allow them to learn things in effective manner.
Kinesthetic learners: These type of learners are those who go through Hands on
opportunities of learning. In today's time, students are spending their more and more time on
sitting and learning passionately (Dutsinma, and Temdee, 2020). There are different types of
discussion to be taken out for purpose of how to be more effective in classroom. It is also for
teachers who are making efforts to getting rid of old methods of teaching. There are some
students who are using this style of learning who can be distracted due to need to move as well
as active in classrooms.
Description of own learning style and techniques to use it to study better
Learning style is an important component for a student as it allow them to learn thing in
effective manner. It allow them to enhance their knowledge and learning which is important in
order to have personal and professional growth of a person (Husmann and O'Loughlin, 2019). As
a students, I needs to learn new things which helps me to improve my knowledge and
understanding. In academic life, main aim of my life is to improve my knowledge and
understanding which is important for purpose of my personal and professional development. In
order to improve my knowledge, I will use different method of learning that allow me to learn
and understand thing in effective manner.
I like to learn things by visual things, so that I will select visual learning style in order to
improve my knowledge. By adopting this style of learning, I will prefer to choose to sit in front
as I can better see things in clear manner which is important in order to understanding things
explained by teacher. In this, I prefer to highlight important things discusses in classroom and
also prefer to under diagram, graph, and pictorial representation of things. I will also prefer to do
things in right manner which is important for purpose of improving knowledge (Jamila, 2019). I
will also do thing by taking detailed notes in an organised manner that will helps me to get
distinction. AS a visual learner I will also try sketch notes which is combination of doodling as
well as text that allow me to enable processing of information quickly and also helps me to
attach meaning to content. I allow me to create and also associate meaning with it by me own
representation. My experience with this style of learning is best as it allow me to learn thing in
effective manner.

CONCLUSION
From above mentioned project report, it can be concluded that VARK model is an
important framework as it provide different styles of learning to students and with using of these
style, a person is able to improve their learning. There are different styles of learning including,
visual learners, auditory, read or write and kinesthetic learning style. All thee stylers are different
from each other but ultimate goal of these styles are important for a person which allow them to
learn things in effective manner.
