INTRODUCTION
Study skills are essential for an individual in terms of enhancing their overall learning,
competencies, knowledge and growth. With the effective adoption of this style, an individual is
capable enough to learn new things and also can get proper grades in terms of completing their
overall education (Retrosi, Morris and McGavock, 2019). This project undertakes the overall
discussion of several types of learning styles that include VARK model. Further, it also discusses
the personal experience of people by describing their own learning styles and techniques which
will help them to make their study better and effective.
MAIN BODY
Discussion of learning style of VARK model
VARK is the effective learning style which was introduced by Neil Fleming in 1987. This
model is being developed in several ways which will help students for the effective learning of
several things according to their own preferences. There are different ways in which an
individual can categorise the learning style and also focus on it. According to this model, a
learner can analyse the several ways of learning like reading and writing, auditory, visual and
kinesthetic learning.
Visual learners: There are few students who prefer visual learning as there are preferred to
sit in front within the classroom. These students are those who prefer to effectively use
connectors, diagram and create graphic organisers (Zain and et. al., 2021). These learners lead to
prefer to take more notes which are properly arranged, colour coded and consider significant
aims to get distinction. For this, students also lead to use sketch notes for doodling and also
enable text process for the further information that permit students to create more presenting and
meaningful work in suitable manner.
Auditory learners: These are those learners who can listen to things in an effective manner
and also put emphasis on tone and speech rate that offer suitable benefit to person by offer them
several resources such as audio and video factors and resources. These students work in group
and also get more benefits as there are significant exchanging ideas, discussion, repeating
content, reading loud and other factors that contribute towards the learning (JP and Ranadev,
2018). It is undertaken as effective learning style for learners as through this, they can use flip
grid to show their question and also get responses of other students.

Read/Write learners: These learners lead to prefer write things in text format. These
learners are first write things and then rewrite them by reviewing notes prepare for class and also
interact in written formats. These students create diagrams, convert them and also make proper
list by arranging words with effective development of suitable hierarchy (Chang-Tik, 2018). An
individual also get numerous benefits that permit them to use presentation where an individual
gets large information and also convert in presentation format that permit them to learn things in
suitable way.
Kinesthetic learners: These types of learners are those who go by hands with proper
opportunities of learning. In present time, students who spend more time by learning several
things in constant manner. There are different kinds of discussion to be taken out with the
objective of how to be more suitable in classroom (Farruxovna and Qodirjonovna, 2021). It is for
teachers as well who leads to make proper efforts to get rid of traditional methods of teaching.
There are several students who use this style of learning by which they can be distracted because
of need to move and actively present in classroom.
Description of own learning style and techniques to use it to study better
Learning style is considered as an essential factor for students as it permits them to learn
significant things in suitable manner. It permits them to improve their overall knowledge and
learning which is essential in terms of having professional and personal growth of an individual.
As a student, I need to learn several things that will help me to enhance my overall learning and
knowledge and also develop better understanding (Pattinson and et. al., 2019). Within the
academic life, the main objective of my life is to improve my own competencies and knowledge
that I will use in different methods which permit me to learn things in effective manner. Further,
I like to learn significant things by which I will select visual learning style in terms of enhancing
my own knowledge. By opting this style of learning, I will prefer to opt and sit in front and I can
effectively see things in clear manner which is essential to understand significant things which
are explained by teacher.
For this, I prefer to showcase essential things which I discuss in classroom and also prefer
to represent them under diagram, graphs, facts and pictorial presentation of things. I will also
prefer to do things in suitable manner which is important for the objective of enhancing overall
learning. I will also do things by considering detailed notes in organised manner which help me
to get good grades (Borjalilu, Hssanzadeh and Mahjoub, 2020). As the visual learner, I will also

try to sketch notes which is the combination of doodling and text that permit me to enable
processing of proper information in quick manner and also help me to attach the effective
meaning of content. I permit myself to create and relate proper meaning with it by my own
understanding. My overall experience with this style of learning is something best as it permits
me to learn suitable things in prominent way.
CONCLUSION
From the preceding discussion, it has been analysed that the VARK model is important tool
as it offers several styles of learning to students and by using these styles an individual is capable
to enhance their learning and personality. There are different styles of learning that include
auditory learners, visual, read and write and Kinesthetic learning styles. All of these styles are
different from each other but also develop effective goals of these styles which are important for
an individual by permitting them to learn things in an effective manner.
