INTRODUCTION
In today’s competitive business environment, every company wants to expand in
different countries. In this globalisation has also played a significant role in increasing global
trade among companies. With expansion an organisation operation is majorly affected. This is
because they have to change their way of operations according to market conditions of country.
So, various strategies are developed to minimise impact. This assignment will throw light on
challenges faced by operational manager in globalisation strategy. Also, it will describe about the
roles required in managing operations. Beside this, a strategy will be outlined which shows how
values are been met. The organisation selected is Vauxhall.
TASK 1
Challenges faced by operational manager in globalisation strategy in Australia
Globalisation is a process of integration and interaction among the people, governments
and companies in Australia. It is driven process to reduce the barriers and advancement of
technology in the transportation and many more. In order to trade globally it is important to
develop a proper strategy so that goals are attained in effective way (Cortés, Rodríguez and
Franco, 2019). Thus, Vauxhall have chosen Australia to expand their business. They have
identified potential opportunities for growth to operate there. But there are many types of
challenges which are
It is the responsibility of operation manager to analyse market conditions of Australia.
This enables in finding out factors that will have a negative impact on operations of
company. Therefore, if impact is not minimised it results in huge loss.
Adaptation of globalisation by the operational manager of Vauxhall was slow. It is slowly
globalizing their brand due to highly competition in global marketplace. The attitude of
consumer towards the country become sensitive problem related the product and services
of Australia. The consumer expectation has been changed over the recent year now many
customer demand variety of product and services. It helps the consumer to satisfy their
need and requirement.
Global sourcing is created the biggest skill for an enterprise as they have access the skills
which may not able top the availability in local areas and places. Operation management
is used the modern information technology to increase the business process all over the
world. It is also part of globalisation strategies but IT revolution is the advancement of

Operational manager is applied this technique in the Vauxhall company to implement
new ideas but it is only applicable in the technical aspects.
The operational manager is faced the challenges in the globalization strategy such as
political economy. It is new phase in the international market to maintain the relationship
between the other nation (Heldman, 2018). There are different emergent factors such as
social political, information, advancement of technology and transportation etc. These are
factors that affect the economy to minimise the formulation of strategies that applied in
the organization. In this way, it will increase the threats and risks in the communities or
exploits the cheap labour in the Australia
Globalisation strategies are used for addressing all the problem and issues that would
expose the competition, continuous presses to increase productivity, improve the quality
of product and enhance customer services. Other possible effect the globalisation strategy
on Vauxhall and impacting on the closure of inefficient units and industrial expansion
which increases the job losses or problem dealing with the uncertainty in the global
market in the terms of supply chain, price and demand by suing globalisation strategy.

basic need and requirement of enterprise. The precise task of manager depend on the size of

this way, manager is gain the commitment of vendor that support the business operations
and functions. Strategic influencing- Strategic influencing is the best approach that adapt to manager
and influencing their employee towards their goals and achievements. This role of
manager is significantly impact on the performance and efficiency of organization. In
Australia, Project manager have directly influence or motivate on the employee and also
carry the responsibility for aligning to performance of different worker. In this way,
manager play vital role in reshaping the culture of organisation. Cost Estimating- It is main important role of manager to identify the cost of project and
overall budget. These are important activities that performed by project manager such as
cost estimating, resources planning and cost control etc. Being able to calculate the
accurate cost and deliver the accurate project plan (Kumar Mookerjee and Shubham,
2018). Manager is utilized the estimating technique to identify the scope and develop
approximate process of resources that needed for operations and functions. Controlling Quality- The manager is control the quality of product and service to meet
the requirement of specific project. It is an essential for project management because it
provides the surety within the scope of project and planning. Project manager is
maintained the standards of project to plan the strategies for influencing the cost and
scheduling. In this way, it helps for reducing the risk in the quality of product and
service.

their demand whereas the organization is adopting the international enterprise strategies which is
the fit according the need and requirement (Louis and Dunston, 2018). In Australia, The business
involves for dealing with the consumers, employees and foreign stakeholders etc. these are
important factor that conducting to increase the demand of resource and strategy. There are
