Learning Philosophy
My object in this course will involve developing skills and knowledge that will prove
necessary in growth of career. It gear me towards understanding the automobile industry better
and apply the knowledge and apply it in the industrial world. Additionally, I am a fast learner
and easily adapt and learn to solve thing through practical process compared to theoretical
framework. Therefore, I am convicted that the course will be impactful.
Intent of the Study
The purpose for studying the course is aid me understand the automobile industry
specifically in designing vehicles and selecting vehicles based on the terrain there is expected to
drive on. It is vital to note that fleets are designed for different purposes. For example, vehicles
for rough terrain such Isuzu Double Cabin, Tavara and Land rovers model are have a four wheel
drive model (Guzman et al., 2017). The ergonomics are structured in a manner that ensure
drivers remain attentive and do not suffer back pains. Additionally, the vehicles are designed in a
manner that their exhaust pipes reduce the amount of emission that may cause global warming
and destruction of ozone layer. They are fixed with catalytic chambers that ensure much carbon
is not released in the atmosphere.
The Key points of my investigation
During my research I will focus investigation on the areas that relates to the size of the
vehicle, the mass, the fuel consumption, the car ergonomics, the tires design and others.
Innovative vehicles have taken lead in the automotive industry in the 21st century (Mousavi, et
al., 2015) Therefore, all fleets are expected to have minimum emission of smoke in order to

conserve environment. Additionally, as the automotive world develops, manufacturing and
assembling lightweight vehicles will be quite important in maintaining the nation’s infrastructure
at a cheaper cost. I would focus on engineering issues that have affected the designed and
selection of cars in the industry. Other areas of focus would be anterior, Offset Deformable
Barrier (ODB), Pole impact, side barrier impact, and roof crush: pillar, low CC centred rear
impact and High speed rear impact (Zhang et al., 2017)
Capabilities developed during the process
During the whole process I will be in a better position to sharpen my analytical skills and
grow my research skills and additionally improving the process through which I will be in a
position to select the proper fleet of my choice (Husain, 2003). Improving my presentation skills
is another thing I am hoping to improve to a great extent.
Step taken for positive collaboration
To facilitate a smooth process, I will ensure that I respect everyone and their business. I
will also ensure that a clear and courteous communication model is engaged in order to have all
the information on board. Additionally, it will determine the accuracy of the information
generated.
Inquiry process
To access the information, I will engage the following methods of collecting data such as
interviews, use of questionnaires, data mining, and secondary source such as books, internet
searches.
