Background
Playing video games in the modern era has resulted in multiple benefits. This research is
going to evaluate the experiences of individuals playing video games for improving the cognitive
development such as greater sensitivity to contrasts, better eye-to-hand coordination and superior
memory. In this research the different ideas are going to be undertaken for the understanding of
the cognitive resources that are between the successive visual targets.

The aim of the study is to assess the psychology of playing video games benefitting in
cognitive development in individuals.

The reason for doing this research is that it will help in assessing the usefulness of playing
video games amongst people. It will help the readers recognize the issue and have different
results and attraction on the basis of their development. This psychological issue regarding both
the positive and the negative aspect of playing video games and recognize the factors that
contribute towards cognitive development.
LITERATURE REVIEW
Bányai and et.al., (2019) believes that strategy games have faster information processing,
allocation and more cognitive power. It helps in visual stimuli and allocation that is limited for
cognitive resources between the successive stimuli that is more effectively through time. Roth,
(2019) supported that playing video games is considered to speed up response time, encourage
teamwork, stimulate creativity and also improve strategy and leadership.
Kukshinov and Shaw, (2022) explains how playing violent games can increase the activity
of the brain that are associated with arousal, anxiety and emotional reaction that simultaneously
reduces the activity in frontal lobes. Its association with the emotion is able to regulate and
execute the control. Roohi and Forouzandeh, (2019) also explained that the gaming addicts that
the functional and structural alternatives become a neural reward system. It is said to be
associated with the feelings of pleasure, learning and motivation.
Kjeldgaard-Christiansen, (2019) explained how playing video games can lead to different
cognitive benefits. It can also reduce stress level, increase self-esteem and increase the prosocial
behaviour. Video games can be beneficial for implementation of specific contexts for example
helping students learn their material helping their professionals for improving their technical
skills. Plante and et.al., (2019) supported that brain training games can help design specifically
for the improvement of cognitive performance and benefiting rather limited in comparison to that
of regular video games.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research type
There are two types of research qualitative and quantitative. For the assessment of the
cognitive benefit of playing video games quantitative research types is going to be taken into
consideration.
Research approach
The research approach selected for this research is going to be the deductive approach
which would contribute to the success of the research. In this research the deductive approach is
going to be able to analyse the cognitive aspect of playing video games.
Research philosophy
For this study the research philosophy that is going to be taken is the interpretivism that
would help the research develop the understanding of the factors that contribute the
psychological aspects of the study.
Data collection
For this study the data is going to be both primary and secondary. For the collection of
primary study, a questionnaire survey would be conducted. The survey would be conducted on
30 random individuals. For the secondary data the previous and past studies pertaining to the
development of the brief of the research is going to be analysed.
Sampling
In this study the random sampling technique is going to be utilized for gathering of the
primary data sample.
Data analysis
The analysation of the data is going to be done through the money quantitative tool SPSS.
