Introduction
The following memo is based on the virtual communication models that are followed by
most of the modern organizations of the globe. The management of most of the organizations
have started implementing the virtual communication models in order to ensure the presence of a
smooth communication and learning for the employees around the globe. The presence of such a
model ensures that the employees are aware of the developments of the industries and the market
along with other professional developments in a positive manner. The introduction is followed
by a memo addressed to the marketing director of the ABC Company who intends to have a
detailed report on Virtual Communication. The report will form the basis of whether the
management of ABC company will implement the virtual communication or not.

There has been a huge debate going on in the industry on whether to use the latest virtual
communication tools or whether to not. The debate has been going on for quite some time and is
showing no signs of cease. My own study on virtual communication has been essential in these
regards as I have been able to gain valuable insights regarding the same. Communication can be
defined as a valuable asset of the human nature (Choquet 2016). The sharing of ideas,
information and thoughts from a person to other can be described as communication. Humans
have derived and use different forms of communication processes to understand and express
their feelings for each other. The communication process can be facial expressions, non-verbal
methods and other kinds of gestures. However the modern form of communication has taken
over by storm with the advent of technology. Virtual Communication can be said to be as a mode

of communication that considers the use of the technology (Wei Thurasamy and Popa 2018).
This technology includes both audio and video technologies and thus can be said to be one of the
most advanced forms of technology. The presence of video conferencing, audio conferencing
and the rise in the use of the other virtual forms of communicating has led to the advent of the
communication. My own research on virtual communication has derived some advantages as
well as disadvantages of the same.
The advantages include;
a. Fast mode of communication that includes instant messaging application, web
conferencing tools, instant messaging tools.
b. Security is one of the most essential components as the conferencing tools are all
encrypted and use different kinds of encryption tools that are important for the business
c. Cost effective: Apart from being quick, virtual communication helps
to save a huge sum of money. A video call can be initiated rather than
staying physically present and meeting someone. The saving of huge
amount of time and money helps in the following process.
d. Enables the organizations to harness the talents from
anywhere
e. Promotion of flexibility is another major advantage for the business.
The disadvantages of the following applications on the other
hand include the likes of;
a. There are always security concerns with the organization while they use the different
types of the virtual tools

b. Technical Problems can cause different types of harassment to the business
organizations that use the virtual communication tools. The communication depends
totally on internet, machines and different kinds of software. This leads to
malfunctioning at any point of time.
c. The absence of non verbal communication is another major disadvantage for the
business. Some of the virtual communication processes, like voice
calls do not accommodate faces of people.
The assessment of the advantages and disadvantages of both the methods has led me to
come to a strong conclusion. It can be seen that the virtual communication methods have an
important role to play in the future of the modern business organizations. Though there are some
clear disadvantages of implementing the virtual communicating tools in the business the fact that
operations attain a global and highly productive structure makes virtual communications one of
the most important assets to be procured by the organization (Ladyshewsky 2016). Therefore I
would recommend implementing the virtual communication tools in the organization but not on
the sacrifice of the traditional communication tools. The management of the organization must
keep both the technologically advanced as well as the traditional tools of communication in a
aligned manner to ensure the proper functioning of the business.
