INTRODUCTION
Background of the study
Virtual learning environment is the technology used for the web based education for the
students. This is the platform mainly used for the educational institutions to provide a systematic
education through computers and laptops. It is the platform where all the structure of the course,
activities, interaction are involved at one place. VLE is very useful resource for the teachers as
well as for the students, it is the platform which is used by almost all the education systems
whether it is secondary education or higher education institutions (Li and Yu, 2020.). It is the
learning systems which is done by computer so it is also referred as e-learning and learning
management system. Basically virtual learning environment is the learning platform which have
web based applications that gives teachers, students and parents all the information related to the
education.
This web based platform gives access to all the e-mails, texts, video conferencing,
assessments, and the tools for tracking.

LITERATURE REVIEW
It refers to the type of article or reviewing scholarly paper which helps in enhancing
knowledge and helps in doing proper findings in the form of theoretical and methodological
contribution regarding particular topic (Allison, 2016). Literature review is secondary source of
information no new information is generated by doing literature review. Secondary source of
information includes the books, journals, articles. The literature review can be done on basis of
three main types: evaluative, exploratory and instrumental.
To identify the role of Virtual Learning Environment in context of educational industry
According to opinion of Margaret Rouse (2020) Virtual learning environment is the
educational web-based platform in which digital study is done within educational organisation.
It helps in proper interaction and helps in providing the different stages by which proper
assessment can be done. It helps in bringing accessibility and help in bringing technical skills.
Various schools and universities have implemented that software so that knowledge of the
people will increase and also helps in improving qualification for getting better results in an
organisation. In terms of time the education become more flexible and help in attaining proper
interaction of students and they can also plan there studies without wasting the time. Online
studies also helps in developing the skills in an proper manner so that desired results and
objectives can be achieved. It also helps in proper management of work and helps in knowing
students performance (Bell, Bryman and Harley, 2018). It makes students in doing experiments
with new formats and approaches and helps in providing them material which helps in increasing
the efficiency and allow students to do different activities and also helps in improving the
learning process of students so that they can perform better in an organisation.
To identifying the issues faced by students during Covid 19 situation
Spokey Wheeler (2020) stated that there are various issue students faced as there are less
social interaction of students as there are no face to face activities which finds students
challenging. They also adapt the home environment to stay with parents, playing. There are no
proper place of doing studies where no one can disturb them there is huge distraction while
studying at home and lack of physical exercise which helps in weakening up of knowledge.
There is impact on health of students as students are watching screen on regular basis which
weakens there eye-sights and students are involved more in social sites which make them
sometime less interactive with families and other work (Halperin and Heath, 2020). There is an

virtual distraction created as the students do not have there full focus on the studies and get
disturbed easily (Halcomb and Hickman, 2015). The main issue is that students have to bear
expense of mobile, laptops and the internet which are not affordable.
To examine the relationship between the Virtual Learning Environment and students
learning during Covid 19
Ana Mogus, Ivana Đurđević Babić and Nenad Šuvak (2020) stated that Virtual learning
environment and student learning during COVID 19 have an good relationship as because of
pandemic student would not be able to go schools and the universities so online classes are to be
taken by children's which is a Virtual learning and making the classes more interactive by doing
presentation online as it helps in building skills and helps in gaining knowledge (Balloo, Pauli
and Worrell, 2016). Virtual learning helps in building communication with students and help in
enhancing knowledge. The students are asked to have an proper interactions with students which
helps them in communicate in a better manner. The students learning by doing virtual learning
helps in enhancing the knowledge and have an active participation of students so that COVID do
not have affect on student studies. Virtual learning of students reduces interaction but proper
participation is done by students so that in future there will be no issues and because of virtual
learning environment there is no gap in studies of students as they helps in making the courses
complete on time so that decision can be taken and studies can be done in proper manner.

METHODS
Methods are important within a research because it helps investigator in gathering and
evaluating of accurate data about the topic. there are some methods that will be explained as
below:
Data collection: Primary and secondary are two methods of data collection that will be
used within a researcher for getting valid outcomes. Questionnaire will be applied for gathering
primary information, whereas, books, articles etc. sources will be used for gathering secondary
data for literature review (Tandel and Dhimar, 2017).
Sampling: Probability sampling will be applied for selecting 20 students within
education industry. main reason behind selection of probability sampling as it not takes
maximum time and helps in selection of larger sample base (Prado and et. al, 2012).

person believe that the role of VLE is to prepare students for the future because it is helps in
studies of the students without any disturbances. 5 persons believe that VLE reduced the burden
on teachers as this platform has already saved with features so teachers do not need to put extra
efforts. And the remaining 8 people believe that VLE helps in experimenting in the classroom
like blended learning can be used by the teachers for the students.

the network issue because network is the thing which can not be controlled. The remaining 7 out
of 14 people had technical issue because of their system or software they are using. Where the
rest 7 people think that had issue of time consuming because of the network and technical issues.

the technology of laptops because it is very convenient to use. 4 people are using smartphones
because they can their phones anywhere and the rest 2 are using the technology of e-books
because they find it easy to access and read.
