Introduction
Virtual team is considered as a group of individuals who have efforts in collective manner from
different locations. In this, communication and operational values are dependent on the
technology. It has been witnessed that technology like email, fax, voice and video conferencing
is considered as communication mediums. It allows having collaboration in work activities. I
would like to suggest that company can focus on setting up a virtual team for staff located in
Melbourne, Los Angeles, Shanghai and Bangalore.
Context
It will allow ensuring that collective working and learning about different culture is being
promoted. It has been witnessed that effective virtual teams are beneficial to manage the social
bond. By having an effective consideration of the virtual team the organization can have better
coordination in tasks. It will also assist in meeting the performance standards properly. Good
communication is also a factor that can be improved to better relationship.
Discussion
It has been noticed that setting up a virtual team is significant because it allows having
management of activities and optimum use of skills. Job satisfaction among employees can also
be promoted in adequate manner. Team members have better freedom to choose their area of
work according to their skills and comfort level. Considering the overall development in accurate
manner the work activities can be prompted. There are various advantages that a business firm
can attain through virtual team (Alsharo et al. 2017). Members from Melbourne, Los Angeles,
Shanghai and Bangalore can work in collective manner to accomplish the specific area. Through
considering the key measures of the virtual teams the teams can have sharing of information in
accurate manner. Specialised working can also be promoted within environment that also
facilitates to meet the objectives.

It has been witnessed that ABC Company can set up a virtual team for employees at Melbourne,
Los Angeles, Shanghai and Bangalore and ensure that cost saving factor is being promoted
adequately. Virtual team allow managing the huge expenses properly because low cost regions
operational teams can also have active participation in the activities. It also enhances the
leverage of global talent so that corrective measures can be taken into account (Kathryn, et. al.
2015). It has been noticed that increase in productivity and higher profit are also key factors that
motivates to adopt the virtual team. Time saving operations can also be promoted in adequate
manner so that long term development can be promoted. For example, Melbourne headquarter
frame a team in Bangalore then data is being collected from virtual team and analyse from
Melbourne (Krumm et al. 2016). New opportunities can also be created properly to accomplish
the objectives in accurate manner.
However, there are few challenges that need to be referred by ABC Company to have effective
development of virtual team. Lack of trust among members is an issue that virtual team members
working might get affected in negative manner. Diverse multicultural teams are an issue that
influences the overall development of team working. Loss of morale and team spirit is also an
issue that affects the application of virtual teams. Time zone differences also affect the overall
effectiveness of the work under virtual teams. In addition to this, it can be argued that traditional
face to face marketing team in Melbourne is a factor that provides an ability to cut down the risk
associated with the virtual team. It also promotes the centralised work practice within
organization so management need to understand such values properly. In order to deal with the
issue the company can have yearly or quarterly basis F2F among virtual team members. It will
assist in setting face to face interaction so that better trust can be framed. It has been noticed that
long term development is also need to be promoted during the virtual team set up. Monitoring
from HOD is required so that virtual team can have accurate working. It will facilitate to resolve
the issues in accurate manner and lead to impressive level of success (Colabi and Zarei, 2014).
Conclusion
It has been witnessed that virtual team issues can be resolved by having proper management
standards application. It is essential to define the work system properly among team members so
that confusion can be resolved. Scheduling of regular meetings allow to have F2F interaction and
assist in dealing with the issues. Trust and loyalty can be set up by having a proper scheduling of
